No Demon Race knew where the Fallen Queen had disappeared to.

But Lisandra knew that Calila likely ca to Purgatory Corridor Academy and, after her death, beca Fallen Wonderland to protect a certain place within the school.

She seed to be waiting for soone, yet she was unable to wait any longer, only able to wait in this manner.

Since the last ti Lisandra saw Calila, she suspected that Calila was barely hanging on, and through her visage of Fallen Heaven, one could feel her weariness and resolve.

It wasn’t until Calila completely vanished that the ominous premonition in Lisandra’s heart grew stronger.

And hearing Blasphemous Lord logast’s governing proclamation finally sent a chill through Lisandra’s heart.

...

Minutes blinked by.

The school leaders from the Demon Race all left the eting room one after another.

The top corridor of Purgatory Corridor Academy was classical and ornate, dimly lit, full of the aroma of ancient wood, imbued with magic power from deep within ti, with the end of the distant path always seeming to be swallowed by darkness, accompanied by mysteries that no demon had ever unlocked.

Lisandra finished the eting and walked out, visibly tired.

She carried a thin folder in one hand, alone on the corridor.

The floor, tiled with dark marble and inlaid with golden patterns, was covered with a carpet featuring Demon Flower patterns, while the walls, every few steps, displayed portraits and mirrors as if watching over the students on the path.

Among them was even a portrait of a prankish Radiant Demon.

This always made Lisandra stop in her tracks with a curious expression, unable to help looking a few more tis, rembering Mr. McCarthy, also a Radiant Demon whom she t in the Demon King’s Castle Necaris, and then she would rember the Princess.

"Princess... are you okay?"

Lisandra averted her gaze and shook her head.

These past days, the atmosphere in Purgatory City was tense.

The entire city-state was being secretly searched inside and out by the Demon King’s Army special forces. And from the confidential reports issued directly from the Demon King’s Castle to Purgatory Corridor Academy, Lisandra learned that the Princess had fled, with the most likely location being Purgatory City, which housed the Ancestral Land, requesting the school’s assistance in executing the task once any clues were found.

Blasphemous Lord logast, having guessed this, had likely sealed off the Ancestral Land.

It was very possible that the Princess was now hiding in Purgatory City, seeking an opportunity to escape to an absolutely safe place.

Lisandra, even if she wanted to help the Princess, found herself willing but unable.

As the vice-chancellor said, the school had also been under close scrutiny lately.

It was said that the new chancellor was about to arrive.

For the past few years, the position of chancellor at Purgatory Corridor Academy had been vacant, overseen directly by the military from Calila’s side in the Demon King’s Castle.

During the war, Purgatory Corridor Academy had always held a military nature. In so sense, this school was also an independent part of the Demon King’s Army, intricately linked.

It was only after the war ended that Purgatory Corridor Academy was once again separated from the Demon King’s Army. Calila considered appointing a new chancellor, but with no suitable candidates and Calila busy with post-war reconstruction, the topic was set aside.

The school had recently received definitive news that the chancellor, holding the Barrier’s managent key, would co bearing an appointnt letter.

According to the experience of longstanding teachers, even if the chancellor ca, he would probably be elusive.

The chancellor often had to deal with various internal and external school affairs. As an important chanism of the Demon World, the chancellor’s role was not just about managing the school but also entailed responsibilities to liaise with higher departnts in Demon King’s Castle. Whenever the school faced any issues, the chancellor was the first to bear the brunt, followed by the vice-chancellor, then responsibility would be assigned layer by layer.

Lisandra thought as she walked.

Having no chancellor was not a good thing, as it ant less protection for the vice-chancellor and the academic deans.

Thus, the school’s upper managent was eager to have a capable chancellor take over.

Years ago, an incident occurred where a Demon impersonated the acting chancellor, but ironically, this fake chancellor helped the school through a crisis and saved many staff mbers, making him quite popular among the school’s staff.

When he possessed the capability, even without the proper rules and licenses, he was considered even better than the real deal.

This beca a bizarre yet delightful tale.

But this ti, the vice-chancellor emphasized not to allow such blunders again.

Fallen Lord Calila might have been more lenient with them, able to handle matters well. She might turn a blind eye; however, Blasphemous Lord logast, still consolidating her reign, would definitely make an example out of soone. Her ruthless and unhinged nature ant she resorted to killing when problems arose.

Suddenly.

Lisandra walked.

She felt footsteps erging behind her.

The person seed particularly skilled at Concealnt, clearly able to get even closer to her, letting her unaware of the impending danger. But the person deliberately dispelled the Concealnt just to let her be at ease and not startle her too much later on.

Lisandra instinctively sensed the familiar magic power; she knew instantly who was behind her.

"...!"

Lisandra hadn’t yet spoken when she was silenced, and a fair hand covered her mouth.

Her eyes widened as she felt a softness from behind and the effortless grip of the wrist and she slowly nodded.

The Demon behind her gradually let her go.

Lisandra turned around.

And there she saw a tall and beautiful black-haired Demon she’d never seen before, cradling a small grey cat in her arms.
