Chapter 8: All Present
The large characters “Evil Spirit High School” reflected in Lu Feng’s eyes, the blood-like crimson color stabbing into his vision.
This school… what on earth had happened here?
A bone-piercing chill spread across Lu Feng’s whole body.
He vaguely felt that he seed to have been dragged into so extrely terrifying event.
“Liuli, this, what exactly……”
“Do you know what a huge mistake you’ve made, Lu Feng!”
Liuli rcilessly cut off Lu Feng’s words.
She lifted her head, staring at him with a hatred in her eyes he had never seen before,
“Everyone will die because of your recklessness, including you. No one will be spared!”
“W-what are you talking about……”
“I hate you, Lu Feng!”
Liuli’s words were filled with both hatred and fear.
She no longer looked at Lu Feng, forcing her trembling body to stand up from the ground, turning to walk into the classroom.
Lu Feng, who had just been harshly scolded, stood there in utter bewildernt.
He originally wanted to ask about Liuli’s current situation, but at this mont he didn’t even know how to begin.
There were too many questions—so many that Lu Feng’s mind was in complete chaos, not knowing where to even start.
It was indeed his fault for breaking the promise, but to reach this point, Lu Feng had actually been left with no other choice.
He had thought that as long as he didn’t co to school, everything would remain peaceful.
But the truth turned out to be the opposite—the school still fell into disaster.
At that ti, when there was no one to turn to for help, the only way to figure out what had happened was to co to the school.
That was why he had no choice but to break the promise with Liuli.
Although he didn’t understand why Liuli was so agitated, Lu Feng could feel that sothing far beyond common sense, sothing incomprehensible, had indeed occurred at this school.
But… why did she say everyone would die because of ?
Judging from Liuli’s appearance, she clearly knew sothing.
But with her current state, she probably couldn’t even be bothered to talk to him.
Thinking so, Lu Feng didn’t dare to enter the classroom either, and could only stand outside with a pile of questions, turning instead to think over the broadcast just now—
From the information announced, all the students of Class 2, Grade 3 should now be inside the school.
It must have been because of this situation beyond common sense that the students had scattered to explore different parts of the campus, which was why when Lu Feng had woken up in the classroom, there had been no one there.
Since the broadcast had already ordered all students to return to the classroom for roll call, they should be returning here soon.
But now one most direct question appeared—who was the one taking roll?
Even stranger, why had all the students of Class 2, Grade 3 collectively disappeared from the outside world? Weren’t they all living just fine here?
Wait……
Here?
Lu Feng froze, a terrifying thought suddenly erging in his mind.
It seed impossible, but it could perfectly explain the current bizarre situation—
If the students of Class 2, Grade 3 only existed “here,” and in the world outside the school their existence had already been erased, then could it be said… this school actually wasn’t in the original world at all?
In the original world, Class 2, Grade 3 had already vanished completely, with even their traces erased.
Yet here in this school, they were all still alive, while the school itself had undergone such a strange transformation…
Could it be precisely because of this school that their counterparts in the original world had all disappeared?
Looking at the dense fog surrounding the campus, Lu Feng felt even more certain of his guess.
The scene before him resembled exactly the kind of descriptions of independent spaces in certain novels.
Thinking of this, Lu Feng’s heart sank even further.
If things were really as he suspected, then how were they supposed to leave this school and return to the original world?
He turned his head to glance at Liuli, who was sitting in the classroom in a daze—
She definitely knew sothing.
But for now, he could only wait for her to calm down before asking.
Standing at the classroom door for a few minutes, students indeed began returning one after another.
The first person Lu Feng saw was one of his few friends, Lin You.
“Huh? Lu Feng? Why are you here?”
Lin You walked over to Lu Feng, looking at him with a puzzled face,
“Weren’t you on leave?”
“Ah, don’t even ntion it. You think I wanted to co? You have no idea what’s actually happening outside……”
Lu Feng briefly explained the matter of them disappearing from the outside world.
After hearing it, Lin You’s expression instantly changed, staring at him in disbelief,
“Y-you’re not lying, right? Sothing like that really happened!?”
“Look at the situation right now—do you think I still need to lie to you?”
Lu Feng pointed toward the thick fog surrounding the school, answering with a sigh,
“Do you think this is normal?”
Lin You looked at the unfamiliar school before him, his face turning ashen as he shook his head.
“No matter where we are now, it’s most likely not the original world… Otherwise, there’d be no way to explain why everything about you all suddenly disappeared from it……”
Lu Feng said heavily,
“If I’m not mistaken, you all went exploring inside the school just now, didn’t you?”
“Yeah……”
Lin You answered dully.
“Then did you find anything? Any way to get out of here?”
Lu Feng asked again, and Lin You shook his head,
“No way out. Absolutely no way out. After climbing over the school’s fence, just a few steps later there’s another fence. Climb over again and you’re right back at the school. It’s a complete dead loop… this place really is cursed!”
Hearing Lin You’s description, Lu Feng beca even more certain of his guess.
This school really had beco an independent space!
“……What kind of damned place have we ended up in!”
Lin You’s face grew uglier.
Every ti he thought about how his parents had completely forgotten him, his heart clenched in painful spasms.
“By the way, did you hear the broadcast just now? Do you know who it was? Who’s coming to take roll?”
Lu Feng asked Lin You, who shook his head,
“No idea… but with the way things are now, what’s so strange about more weird things happening?”
“Then how did you all get here? Do you still rember?”
Hearing that, Lin You lowered his head in thought for a mont before answering,
“I rember… it was after morning self-study ended, just as the first period bell rang. Suddenly everything went black, and I fainted. When I woke up, I was in this damned place… The whole class experienced exactly the sa thing.”
“…I see.”
Having gone through so many bizarre events in just a few hours, Lu Feng had already grown sowhat numb to it all, so he didn’t even feel that surprised at Lin You’s words.
Suddenly, Lu Feng thought of sothing and casually said as if it were nothing,
“Then… Yu Mo is here too, right?”
“She’s here. Didn’t the broadcast say so? Except for you, everyone else was here already. Now that you’re here too, the whole class is present, isn’t it……”
Lin You seed to have barely accepted the current reality, speaking listlessly.
“Even in tis like this, you’re still thinking about your beautiful childhood sweetheart. Guess no matter what, the future wife can’t be left behind, huh?”
“You……”
Just as Lu Feng was about to retort, a familiar voice suddenly ca from behind him.
“Xiao Feng?”
Lu Feng turned around, only to see Yu Mo running toward him in a hurry from a group of girls.
The girls behind her showed ambiguous expressions, whispering among themselves.
“Xiao Feng, why did you co?”
Yu Mo looked at him with eyes full of worry,
“With such strange things happening in the school, I kept wanting to call you to tell you not to co. But here, the phones don’t work at all……”
Looking at the girl before him, the weight pressing on Lu Feng’s heart finally eased.
He habitually patted her head, comforting her as he said,
“Now that I’ve already co, saying this doesn’t matter anymore… As long as you’re safe, that’s what matters.”
