Chapter 31: Revolver

“Xiao Feng… Xiao Feng?”

Under Yu Mo’s soft call, Lu Feng finally ca back to his senses from his dazed state.

Wiping away the cold sweat on his forehead, Lu Feng nodded at Yu Mo behind him, signaling that he was fine.

Steeling himself, Lu Feng gripped Yu Mo’s cold yet soft jade-like hand tightly and stepped forward.

The room behind the iron door was still pitch black.

Aside from the blood stench that filled their nostrils and that indescribable chilling aura, the only thing they could rely on was the faintly flickering fla inside the kerosene lamp—

Like a solitary light in the abyss.

Clang—

Suddenly, Lu Feng kicked sothing underfoot, producing a tallic clattering sound.

The two looked down and found a rusty iron chain.

Following the chain forward, at its end was a blood-stained shackle.

Lu Feng’s heart trembled.

He raised the kerosene lamp slightly higher to let its light shine as far as possible, and at last, he could roughly make out the full appearance of the room—

Bloodstains.

The entire room was covered in crimson blood, so of which hadn’t even completely dried yet, still half-congealed.

On the walls hung all sorts of iron instrunts.

Many of them Lu Feng couldn’t even na, but without exception, they were blood-stained, each with sharp edges capable of killing.

Iron whips, short saws, tongue cutters, bone-piercing daggers, nooses…

These were just the ones Lu Feng could na.

Without exception, they were all extrely cruel instrunts of torture.

In this underground chamber that wasn’t even very large, no fewer than a hundred torture instrunts were displayed, neatly hung on the walls, reflecting an icy tallic gleam.

This was clearly a torture chamber!

Cold sweat broke out once again.

Lu Feng’s heart turned to ice—

What had once happened here?

The coordinate hint pointed to this place—what could that possibly an?

It was hard to imagine—how many people had been tortured to death here by these instrunts for such an overwhelming stench of blood to linger?

Yu Mo’s face was deathly pale as well.

In this space that brought extre unease, only the warmth of their joined hands gave even the slightest sense of safety.

Her grip on Lu Feng’s hand tightened.

Forcing down their unease, Lu Feng and Yu Mo searched around the torture chamber, but found nothing else—except for an unexpected discovery: in the dark corner of the room, there was another wooden door, leading who-knows-where.

Creak—

Opening the wooden door revealed a small compartnt, inside which were piled many badly rusted torture devices.

And beneath that heap of iron, sothing square-shaped seed to be covered.

Lu Feng moved the iron aside, revealing a blood-stained iron box.

The box wasn’t locked, only about the size of two palms, but when held in the hand, it was heavy.

Lu Feng and Yu Mo exchanged glances, both seeing doubt in each other’s eyes.

Click—

Cautiously opening the box, the next instant, both of them froze in shock at what lay inside—their pupils instantly contracting—

A slightly old revolver lay quietly in the iron box.

The gun’s body bore scratches, and the pattern on the grip was so worn it was nearly unrecognizable.

Clearly, this gun was quite old.

But from its well-maintained rifling and trigger, Lu Feng had no doubt—load it with bullets, and this revolver would instantly beco a deadly weapon.

And inside the iron box, wrapped neatly in oiled paper, were exactly twenty bullets.

Lu Feng reached out and lifted the revolver from the box.

The mont his hand touched the heavy, icy gun body, it stiffened involuntarily—

This was the first ti he had ever touched a real gun.

Yet why would this revolver appear here?

Lu Feng didn’t think for a mont that its appearance was accidental.

Based on his earlier speculation from the ga rules—

Evil Spirits would not kill Followers, but they would kill ordinary Players;

All Players could kill themselves;

No Player could kill another Player.

Extending from these three rules, along with the already-known fact that physical attacks were useless against Evil Spirits, then the purpose of this gun seed to be only one thing—

Other than suicide, it was completely useless.

Lu Feng frowned tightly.

Did this an the Players were being told to stop struggling and just surrender to suicide?

But… was that possible?

Unable to figure out why the revolver appeared, Lu Feng imitated what he had seen in movies, tucking the gun behind his waist and slipping the bullets into his pocket.

Yu Mo looked at him worriedly.

She clearly knew as well that the appearance of this gun was extrely abnormal.

“Xiao Feng, this gun…”

Knowing what Yu Mo wanted to say, Lu Feng shook his head slightly.

“I don’t know either what this gun’s aning is. But… I can’t help but feel it’s an important piece of information, or perhaps so kind of clue…”

As he spoke, Lu Feng gently stroked Yu Mo’s hair as he always did.

“Don’t worry. I won’t ever point this gun at anyone.”

The girl nodded, but the thing she worried about wasn’t that.

After securing the gun, Lu Feng and Yu Mo prepared to look around again to see if there was anything else useful.

However, at that mont, an intensely cold and sinister aura suddenly appeared, and a suffocating oppression instantly weighed down on their hearts, as though even the air had turned damp and sticky.

The sll of decay began to spread.

That eerie, dark, spiritual sensation—like it ca straight from the abyss—made even the light from the kerosene lamp seem icy and piercing.

Lu Feng and Yu Mo’s faces turned utterly pale.

They exchanged glances, both already aware—sothing had arrived.

And… it was not human!

Years of mutual understanding needed no words.

Lu Feng imdiately took off his coat and covered the kerosene lamp’s fla, for without anything to relight it, extinguishing the wick would plunge them once again into pitch-blackness.

anwhile, Yu Mo hurried to the doorway and silently shut the wooden door of the compartnt.

The room returned to darkness where one couldn’t see a hand in front of their face, only the faint sound of their slightly hurried breathing.

The girl clutched Lu Feng’s hand tightly, her palm slick with cold sweat.

Her face was pale as paper, and her delicate lips were nearly bitten through.

Lu Feng’s heart pounded furiously.

He couldn’t understand—according to the ga rules, the Evil Spirit was supposed to kill only one person every two days.

So what exactly was this “thing” in the dungeon now?

Could there really be two Evil Spirits in this ga?

Impossible!

Ti ticked by in the dark, each minute feeling painfully long.

Cold sweat gradually soaked through their clothes, but the stench of decay never faded, and the dark aura remained nearby.

Suddenly, Yu Mo seed to sense sothing.

Her clear eyes darted toward the door—

The next instant, she clapped her hand over her mouth.

Though she suppressed the urge to scream, her eyes betrayed her extre terror—

Beneath the crack of the wooden door, an eyeless gaze was staring fixedly at the two inside.
