The commoner boy sohow won the heart of the princess studying at the noble academy. However, the princess was already the fiancée of a duke's son also studying at the academy, which led to a series of entanglents.
Unbeknownst to himself, Siran stepped into the fray, offending the esteed Duke. Later, as the situation between the commoner boy and the princess escalated, it drew the King's wrath, who intervened directly, expelling the commoner boy from the noble academy to the border army and confining the princess within the Imperial Palace.
Olt Siran, too, beca entangled in this affair and was relieved of his teaching position at the academy.
In response, Elder Siran felt extrely indignant.
As he saw it, the commoner boy had done nothing wrong. It was the duke's son, along with other noble youths, who, jealous of the commoner boy's achievents, harbored resentnt and caused all the trouble. The commoner boy was rely retaliating fairly.
But, so what?
Nobles are nobles after all!
The commoner boy, lacking influential backing, was crushed, exiled to the harsh border battlefield where the threat of wild Magic Beasts was constant, and soldiers suffered high casualty rates.
He himself, lacking support, lost his teaching position at the noble academy after being implicated in the affair.
To say he had no regrets would be untrue, but Elder Siran still believed his actions to have been justified.
Though naturally rigid and solitary, Elder Siran maintained a teacher's integrity throughout his long teaching career.
However,
after losing his position at the noble academy and offending the powerful duke and King, no one dared to associate with him in the Imperial Capital, and many distanced themselves.
Consequently, Elder Siran's life fell into hardship. In less than a year or two, his family faced difficulties, and in hopes of survival, Elder Siran even considered leaving the Imperial Capital to join a rcenary Corps for an adventure.
Alas, although Elder Siran was not soone who liked to roam, in his old age he preferred stability. Yet under these circumstances, the Imperial Capital had essentially cut off his ans of living.
An Elder Mage of Silver Level, besides teaching, he did have so research in magic knowledge, but none of these could be exchanged for Gold Coins to sustain his family's daily expenses.
Not to ntion, Elder Siran's teaching level wasn't top-notch, and having offended the powerful duke and King, no one dared to befriend him further.
No more noble families invited Elder Siran to beco a family tutor, effectively severing his primary source of inco.
Fortunately, a student, while trading in the south, heard of Elder Siran's plight and sent Gold Coins along with a description of the Dragon Nest Beastman Kingdom within the southern Kawa Great Forest, inviting him to live there.
Moreover, the letter ntioned that in the Dragon Nest Beastman Kingdom, the authorities not only purchased magic knowledge at high prices but had also set up a mage rating institution. If one passed the rating, one could apply to the Dragon Nest Beastman Kingdom for research funds.
This imdiately stirred sothing in Elder Siran's heart.
Mages wanted to advance, which generally required developnt and research into Elental Power, but this research required a large amount of Magic Resources. Over the years, Elder Siran's teacher salary at the noble academy went mostly to buying Magic Materials, yet it still wasn't enough. If what his student said was true, perhaps that would be a promising place to go.
Thus, Elder Siran felt tempted.
Since living in the Imperial Capital wasn't feasible, leaving would be inevitable sooner or later. Though he hadn't decided where to relocate, since a student suggested a place, he naturally had to inquire carefully.
Elder Siran imdiately replied to the letter, asking about the conditions over there in his heart.
Primarily about the environnt, the Beastn's views on humans, and safety issues.
Having seen Beastn at arenas through his many years of teaching, and reading descriptions in books that painted Beastn as n's scourge, frequently attacking human borders and leaving no life in their wake, killing every human, Elder Siran was concerned despite Beastn being under the command of a dragon, whether they could repress their bloodthirsty nature and if problems might arise.
Upon receiving the teacher's reply, the student didn't delay.
He wrote a thick letter detailing the situation in the Dragon Nest Beastman Kingdom, various social managent systems, city governance, and what he saw and heard during travels, and sent it to Elder Siran.
In the letter, Elder Siran saw a world different from all existing civilized societies.
No haughty nobles, officials except for so core positions appointed by the Dragon Nest Tribe Kingdom, all others were recruited from society as civil servants, attracting many second sons without inheritance rights from noble families north of the Border Great Wall, who decided to serve in the Dragon Nest Beastman Kingdom.
There, cities were clean, streets well-planned, military soldiers and administration were entirely separate, with no greedy soldiers charging entry fees. Streets bustled with people, constantly patrolled by police and city managent to maintain order.
Outside the fields, vast woods were developed by so magic engineering machinery, with factories producing large quantities of industrial and comrcial products day and night, distributed across the continent by traveling rchants...
Elder Siran's student wasn't a professional intelligence investigator, and his letter, essentially a stream of consciousness, was sowhat chaotic in description.
But at least, in the student's letters, Elder Siran saw a completely different world.
Thus,
after losing all hope in the Imperial Capital one day, he contacted his student, taking his still fearful family past the Border Great Wall, guided by soone the student sent, walked hundreds of miles, and settled in a prosperous city.
Indeed, it was prosperous, with crowds almost equalling what once thrived in the Imperial Capital.
Various Beastn and humans walked on the bustling streets without any conflicts.
This city, mixed with humans and Beastn, gave Elder Siran's family a shocking and fresh experience.
With his student's arrangents, Elder Siran's family settled in one of the many cities in the Dragon Nest Beastman Kingdom and began a new chapter.
