Under the previous bombardnt, it was like an apocalyptic disaster unfolding, causing the entire ground to almost be turned upside down, with massive chunks of soil and rock rising into the air, and a terrifying shockwave sweeping all around.
Under such catastrophic destructive force, even Austin found it difficult to maintain the stability of his body, despite it being partly due to his own significant expenditure; still, the fearfulness of the aftermath was imaginable.
Despite Austin and his team launching their attack from a mountain a kiloter away, the sweeping shockwave still severely injured many Beastman, leaving the entire Dragon Nest Tribe’s unit almost universally wounded.
If it weren’t for having quite a few Beastman Transcendent individuals in the Dragon Nest Tribe who barely managed so redial asures amidst the sweeping shockwave, the losses of the entire Dragon Nest Legion would have been greater.
At this mont, the mountain where Austin had previously stood was splitting open, with several massive fissures cracking through the middle, as if it were about to collapse.
The ground below was also a ss; the previously tight and orderly Dragon Nest army formation was scattered under that wave of shock—either blasted away, coughing blood from shockwave impact, or swept up by fierce air currents, or smashed by giant stones and soil falling from the sky, or swallowed up by huge cracks in the ground.
Over four thousand Dragon Nest Beastn forces weren’t damaged by the zombie undead tide, yet they were more than half decimated by such apocalyptic scenes!
Fortunately, as rescue efforts continued, only a few unlucky Dragon Nest Beastn died on the spot; most who couldn’t stand up were rely severely wounded.
"Thankfully, there are Witch Doctors in the tribe, whose healing experience is quite mature, and combined with the large amounts of Snake Shedding Grass obtained earlier in Wet Bone Forest, after a few days of recuperation, they’ll still be excellent warriors."
As one Beastman Soldier after another was rescued, Rodney, the Legion Commander who was coming and going for rescues on the desolate battlefield, also let out a sigh of relief.
This way, the losses of the Dragon Nest Legion weren’t as large as they seed.
However...
Looking at the surroundings of fractured earth and then at the distance, at that massive pit slowly emanating red steam and light, Rodney felt an endless frenzy and supre reverence for His Highness Austin, who created all this.
Not only did he feel this way, but other Beastman Warriors felt the sa; not a single Beastman harbored any other sentints toward Austin, who caused such massive casualties—there was only infinite reverence for that supre power!
Before joining the Dragon Nest Tribe, the Beastn mingling around the Dragon Nest Tribe were basically the lowest class, living a life with no food for the next al, hungry and cold, like grass without tomorrow.
It could be said that almost every Beastman was a penniless commoner, struggling on the survival line, with the greatest dream being rely to have enough food every day to fill their bellies.
But ever since joining the Dragon Nest Tribe, everything changed.
The society Austin forged in the Dragon Nest Tribe offered them a stable life, granting them the opportunity to create wealth with their own hands and obtain food. These Beastn were straightforward, knowing clearly whoever treated them well.
As for Austin, both ordinary Beastn and Extraordinary Beastn respected him genuinely from the heart.
Respecting the one who led them out of poverty and achieved being well-fed, respecting the one who granted them prosperity and stability, respecting the great His Highness Austin who led them to a better life.
And now, the kind of world-annihilating power Austin demonstrated further instilled a fervent belief in the Beastman soldiers, engrained with the concept that strength is respected in their blood.
"Your Highness, under your glorious wings, all that block us shall perish, may your glory shine upon more people struggling in suffering..."
In the post-war rescue efforts, a common Beastman Warrior stood amidst the desolate ground, gazing at the enormous wings rising into the sky, crossing his hands on his chest, silently and sincerely praying within his heart.
.....
Austin was not Divine; he naturally remained unaware of the thoughts of those Dragon Nest Beastman Warriors.
Upon seeing Lizardman Rodney rescue most of the Beastn soldiers, and finding nothing else left on-site, he started to rise into the air, swiftly heading toward the direction of the pit.
During the previous explosion, the Corpse Mountain Giant Tumor completely vanished, with even the ground soil being lted and evaporated, forming a massive pit, and its mysterious Pyramid was naturally completely destroyed; however, Austin felt the need to see it with his own eyes to be at ease.
With the Corpse Mountain Pyramid’s obliteration, zombies and undead around also vanished, as if they all had perished in the previous war.
"What exactly is going on?"
If that storm of blast alone had caused the demise of all zombie undead, that would be impossible; these undead beings, like the zombies in Austin’s imagination works from a previous life, if their brains aren’t destroyed, cannot be completely annihilated.
But why have all nearby zombies disappeared?
No, not disappeared,
The desolate ground bears quite a number of zombie undead, lying in disarray.
Yet they seem to have lost so sort of driving support, lying limp on the ground continuously squirming, as if they’re clockwork puppets having lost control.
Lost their desire for life, even though the Dragon Nest Beastman Legion has been scattered into tatters, barely maintaining a protective formation, those zombies still capable of moving who’ve fallen on the ground showed no movents.
Seeing them as if they’re invisible, as if the zombie undead tide furiously assaulting the Beastman Legion wasn’t them at all.
"Strange..."
Austin, noticing this point, clearly found it odd, summing up the previous occurrences, he had a feeling.
It felt as if that previous Corpse Mountain or the protective Pyramid beneath was the central brain controlling the zombies’ movents, controlling these resurrected zombie undead to crazily assault living beings, recklessly seizing survival space.
"Too bad, couldn’t get the chance to see inside the Pyramid."
Austin had a feeling that these Pyramids were not simple wooden and soil structure buildings.
They were very likely alive.
Like the previous protective Corpse Mountain Giant Tumor, hiding so flesh-like structure beneath the earthy exterior.
The Pyramid possibly wasn’t a building but a lifeform, a zombie-like lifeform resembling the Corpse Mountain Giant Tumor.
Rooted in the ground, constantly eroding it, widespread forming so network extracting so form of power from the earth’s soil, while transforming the Forest Land into sothing suitable for nurous undead lifeforms to survive, controlling so actions of the zombie undead.
