The Wet Bone Forest, situated in a large basin surrounded by mountains, is a forbidden area that strikes fear into the hearts of nearby Beastman tribes.

From solitary wandering Beastn to rampaging wild beasts, those who accidentally wander into the Wet Bone Forest never leave a trace.

The mist-covered land seems like a terrifying giant beast opening its mouth wide, devouring all living creatures.

Over ti, even the fiercest beasts understood the danger within that area and began to avoid it, keeping a distance from its range.

Unexpectedly, the Wet Bone Forest's terrifying reputation turned it into an intimidating shield, making the areas nearby comparatively safe places.

Moreover, although the Wet Bone Forest is dangerous, as long as one doesn't venture deep inside, there is typically no danger. So weaker Beastman tribes have thus settled near the forest, relying on the fearso Wet Bone Forest as their backing to survive in this perilous world.

Even though the Wet Bone Forest inadvertently created a safe haven, the tribes camping nearby still greatly feared it. Every ti they went hunting, they would automatically steer clear of the Wet Bone Forest when they approached it.

According to legend, unknown Demons inhabit the mist-locked Wet Bone Forest, and any living creature that steps into the forbidden area turns into bones, decaying in the soil.

In reality, the small, weak tribes living nearby occasionally experienced disappeares, with rumors claiming that Demons from the Wet Bone Forest carried them off to serve as food during the night.

Fear spread among the tribes, but unfortunately, the tribes that moved nearby were all weak, and leaving would likely result in death in the dangerous jungles by the next day. They could only live in this area, begrudgingly relying on the Demons of the Wet Bone Forest for survival.

Fortunately, the Demons' abductions from the Wet Bone Forest were infrequent. Compared to the perilous, lethal external world, living near the Wet Bone Forest was bearable.

Occasionally, so of the weaker Beastman tribes even began developing a primitive reverence for the Wet Bone Forest. When barely fed, they would offer sacrifices, perform primitive dances, and worship the Demons lurking in the Wet Bone Forest as if they were Divine.

But the Wet Bone Forest, after all, was not Divine, Original content can be found at N0v3l.Fiɾe

Two months ago, the fierce Dragon Nest Legion, led by Blood Wolf, surged along the scent trail left by the Beastn.

The heavy armor, long spears reflecting cold glints, and strictly trained, unified formations surged forward like a black tidal wave. The little resistance present was like tiny stones dropping into a tsunami, vanishing instantly.

The next day, all tribes surrounding the Wet Bone Forest were destroyed, with all Beastn captured and strung together by the Dragon Nest Beastn, driven back to the Dragon Nest Base, leaving only ruins behind.

Through it all, the Wet Bone Forest showed no response, allowing everyone to leave.

Before leaving, the Dragon Nest Beastn marked a circle representing a dangerous area on a crude beast-skin map, rembering this zone.

...

More than two months have passed since the crushing war. The signs left by the orc tribes previously stationed here have been mostly erased by the hot and humid forest, with only traces of the past ruin visible on the moss-covered ground.

Ratman Bill stood before the forr village ruins, his gaze crossing over the ground's debris towards the unfathomable depths of the Wet Bone Forest, filled with unease as sweat dripped down his forehead.

Two months ago, he was a mber of one of the Ratman tribes living here. After the Dragon Nest Legion's destruction and sweep, he was captured and taken to the Dragon Nest Base for unified transformation training.

When Bill was captured, strung together with his companions by a rope, and driven towards an unknown destination, he was consud by despair.

Although he had never been a captive slave before, he had heard from the old Beastn about how tragic the fates of war captives could be, especially for their weak race with a battle power of less than five, potentially ending up as food for the strong.

Ratman Bill was filled with despair as he was driven to the stunning Dragon Nest Base.

The massive fortress, bustling Beastn, orderly housing, and the booming construction sites all showcased the Dragon Nest Tribe's strength.

The awe-inspiring Dragon Nest Town was so overwhelming that it washed away Ratman Bill's fear and despair. They were then abruptly gathered together, organized, and subjected to a round of "disinfection."

During "disinfection," Ratman Bill and his companions cried out in horror, fearing they were about to be washed clean and turned into food.

But it turned out he was completely wrong from the start.

Despite being captives, their actual treatnt was far better than he had imagined.

There were no imagined whips, no hunger, no beatings, and certainly no slaughter like livestock. None of the desperate scenarios he imagined materialized.

In that month's captivity, they ate well and slept well, with daily als consisting of large amounts of kudzu roots and bark boiled in a large pot until they beca a mush.

Notably, it was purely genuine kudzu without any added bitter tree bark, weeds, or rhizo fruits. The kudzu fragrance almost made his mouth water even during training.

Moreover, most importantly, the kudzu-cooked food was unlimited!

In other words, they could eat as much as they wanted!

What a blissful life!

For those living in the lower strata of Kawa Great Forest like them, life was extrely poor, with daily als sparse. Their daily food was a mixture of collected tree roots, grass roots, and bark, occasionally supplented with bitter wild fruits that even birds wouldn't eat. Despite this, those fruits were rare delicacies for them.

As for kudzu, it was a more delicious treat above the bitter wild fruits. Containing a lot of starch, kudzu roots could fill and satisfy hunger with a slightly sweet taste, and for Ratn, it was a supre delicacy.

This delicacy was only brought out for tribal celebrations or sacrificial rituals to the Divine by the chief for communal festivity.
