Chapter 188 Winning the Defensive War
It was definitely the fiercest attack Midsumr Guild had suffered.
Nurous guild mbers sacrificed their lives to have held off the BOSSes for a good ten minutes.
The death count of players at east, west, and south increased to hundreds of thousands because the AoE skills of the high-level BOSSes were so overwhelming. Ice Giant Guardian, whom War Spirit Hall had fought against at the Ice Lake outside Shengshui City, was just a normal BOSS at level 30 yet had a powerful AoE skill of Icy Waves, which could cause devastating effect among people. Facing such a BOSS, players were bound to fail especially when without BUFF from priests.
However, the BOSSes attacking the guild now were even stronger than Ice Giant Guardian and thus were a big threat to the guild.
The guild lost heavily that even the mages and priests at back row all tried to stop the BOSSes at the cost of their lives, let alone the soldiers in the front row, all of whom had been killed over three tis. Everyone was stuck in a situation where they kept being killed and then revived during the battle, their equipnt dropped and damaged, their looks like that of beggars.
At the entrance of the encampnt, so of them even chose not to get revived so as to build a wall several ters tall with their dead bodies, and successfully blocked the BOSSes’ way into the encampnt.
“Hey! The Encampnt Defensive War is over! Congratulations, Midsumr Guild won its war and was thus officially established. The map within a ten-mile radius, with the encampnt hall as the center, will be included into Midsumr Guild’s territory, and no wild creep would be respawned there.”
Regardless of the sacrifice and the loss, the result was quite reassuring. The mont the system announcent rang, everyone of Midsumr Guild looked excited.
Finally, following Dynasty, the second guild which succeeded in its defensive war was officially established.
Although there were more than 10 guilds on the guild list in Huaxia District, most of them was not officially recognized because they had not won any Encampnt Defensive War yet.

The mbers of Midsumr Guild were cheering, and so of the managent laughed with overjoy as they walked into the encampnt hall.
At there, Liu Qiangwei had been waiting for them. Face covered with a veil, she looked ethereal and aloof, like both a holy fairy and a queen who was waiting for her soldiers’ returning with victory; she was calm yet stunning.
Following a male player nad Midsumr Leaf, the managent of Midsumr Guild entered the hall one after another. When they saw Liu Qiangwei, they kept their smiles but imdiately lowered their voices.
They had to behave themselves before Liu Qiangwei given that she was both the chairwoman of the Midsumr Group and the number one beauty on the Goddess List of Huaxia District.
“By the way, the last round was really a narrow escape, the BOSSes made it to the entrance at south side, but fortunately, they were stopped there.” Midsumr Leaf, in his mid-age, sighed with relief.
He was the forr president of Midsumr Guild as well as an officer of Midsumr Group. After Liu Qiangwei took charge of the guild, he had wanted to retire but was finally persuaded into acting as the vice president of Midsumr Guild. In short, he was an outstanding man.
“I agree. It happened at the west entrance, too. For a few tis, the BOSSes even managed to take a step into our encampnt! That’s really a breath-taking mont. Having one less player guard there, we would have lost it.”
“Yeah, it’s so wise of the president to have gathered all the people at these three places; otherwise, we wouldn’t have made it.”
“By the way, Rose, why did you withdraw all the people from north side? Your strategy turned out to be successful, but I really wanted to know what caused you to make such a decision at that critical mont,” said Midsumr Leaf.
He was a prudent man, that’s why he had objected Liu Qiangwei’s idea of having all the people at north side withdraw to the other three sides. If not for that a commander was not to be doubted, he would have strongly opposed the plan.

The BOSS, who should have caused Midsumr Guild a great damage and to lose its defensive war, failed to even approach the encampnt through the battle.

Liu Qiangwei ended the discussion by simply explaining that she asked soone for help. She did not tell them the man was Xiaofeng because she knew many of them still held grudge against him. In the following days, they had sothing more important to do.
That was to make up their loss during the battle and build their encampnt. Although they had won the war, they suffered a huge loss at the sa ti, and it would take so ti for them to regain their strength.
Soon, the news that Midsumr Guild had won the Encampnt Defensive War spread over the Huaxia District and caused a stir among the guilds, who could not believe it.

They never thought that other guilds would win a defensive war just as Dynasty did, because as the number one guild with strong power in Huaxia District, it was nothing surprising that Dynasty could make it.
However, Midsumr should have made it too! At the fact, many guilds, both as strong as Midsumr and even those stronger ones, all were itching for their own defensive wars.
Despite having obtained their tokens and established their guilds under NPC’s managent in the main city, those guilds had little confidence in winning their Encampnt Defensive Wars and thus had not built any encampnt. On hearing the news of Midsumr’s victory, the managent of these guilds imdiately gathered together to make further plans.
Only a few people managed to get so information on Midsumr Guild’s Encampnt Defensive War from the people they planted in the guild.
“You said a mysterious master helped Midsumr Guild defend its encampnt? And even guarded one of its entrance against the BOSS’s attack during the last yet critical round?”
“A mysterious master? Who is it? Are you sure it was not so other guilds but a single man that helped Midsumr?”
“Really? Are you sure? You saw a single man hold off an offensive BOSS at one side? Who is that man?”
