Chapter 144 Failure

Night Cooer was wearing her tight night clothes with her eyes staring those people. Her eyes were extrely cold with murderous intent and determination as if she had beeb betrayed.

The assassins of the Midsumr Guild all dressed in the clothes which were similar to Night Cooer. All of them covered in night clothes, looming in the air. The target of the assassination was Xiaofeng. If they couldn’t take him down with one blow, they would disappear imdiately. Then the other assassins would replace them to strike Xiaofeng. In this way, they launched sneak attacks one by one.

This group of assassins was very powerful because of the training of Night Cooer. If their target was an average player, they could take him down in a second. So now, even Xiaofeng found it difficult to fight against them. He started retreating. After Night Cooer showed up, Xiaofeng had to temporarily retreat.

When Xiaofeng was retreating, there were a few sharp blades flashing in front of him. Those assassins didn’t show up for a minute, then they disappeared in the dark, leaving no chance for Xiaofeng to fight with them.

Xiaofeng had been put aside Xiaoxue because it was a burden with its strong figure in this barrage of assassination.

“Protect Mr. Archbishop!”

The operation of the beheading was effective. Two squadron captains found out that Xiaofeng was in danger, so they imdiately took one hundred paladins with them to turn around and fight their way out to protect him. The players who fought with them couldn’t stop them at all. Their front line had broken down, and they had been struggling. Paladins rushed out imdiately even the players tried to besiege them.

At the sa ti, Xiaofeng was in an intense situation with so many blades coming to him every second. And then they disappeared without a trace.

Xiaofeng frowned. He danced like a magical snake, dodging the sabers with all kinds of incredible evasive acts. Although many attacks ca for him, no one could touch him.

However, a round of powerful attack suddenly burst, aiming at a place that Xiaofeng couldn’t cover. It struck right at Xiaofeng’s body. Damage figures floated above his head. It was Night Cooer who made his anticipated move.

Xiaofeng was provoked at last. His eyes revealed a trace of coldness through the only visible eye under the skeleton mask. He replaced his therapeutic scepter to a mace that seed to be made of gold. Then he added all kinds of BUFF to himself, including Life Blessing, Weapon blessing, and Courage blessing. There was rising fire under his feet. Every place he passed, he would make it a fla zone.

As Xiaofeng kept moving, the fla zone was getting wider and wider, covering a large area around it, while many figures of damage were also rising up from the ground!

“-113!”

“-121!”

“-109!”

“-118!”

...

These were all caused by the Flaming Skill from his golden salamander feet. When he used this skill, he would leave a fla zone which would burn for thirty seconds. The damage dealt was heavy, about 50% of his INT.

Xiaofeng was now at 18th level. When he added the Courage Blessing to himself, he could improve his damage from three to four hundred points, although his magic power was not as powerful as his physical power.

Therefore, 50% of his INT would cause one hundred points of damage to each player in the fla zone. In such a terrible force, three-digit damage figures kept rising from the field!

The assassin’s Health Points were not many. No one could resist more than two seconds. So in an instant, many corpses showed up around Xiaofeng, lay on the ground, and then disappeared into white lights.

This skill’s consumption of the Magic Points was very high, about ten points per second. Xiaofeng’s Mana Points could only last for forty seconds. If he took the Water for Purification, he could make it to fifty seconds. The immortal equipnt—Circle of Life could turn the Health Points to Magic Points, but Xiaofeng would not do that, because he would never risk his own life like that on the battlefield. So he could only last more than forty seconds.

But even so, Xiaofeng had also ford a sea of fire, killing so many people. There were corpses and glowing equipnt on the ground.

Because the assassins of the Midsumr Guild took the initiative to attack Xiaofeng, Xiaofeng’s na didn’t redden for a legitimate counter-attack. Instead, everyone he killed would drop at least one piece of equipnt.

The fla zone was slowly burning. There was no assassin around Xiaofeng anymore. The players who were killed would return to the town through the Transmission Formation in the format of white lights.

Weirdly whistling wind swooshed behind him, and heavily shook the fire. Xiaofeng turned back in an instant and released Golden Bull Totem, blocking a dagger that ca out of nowhere.

“Block!”

It was Night Cooer again. She got the best equipnt, carrying high MGD and Health Point. She survived on the fire path for over three seconds. In the end, she still wanted to kill Xiaofeng but was casually stopped, unexpectedly.

Night Cooer was trembling with her cold eyes. Then she swung her dagger wildly to Xiaofeng as if she had gone mad. Her attack had lost its principles.

“Block!”

“Block!”

“Block!”

...

Xiaofeng’s face was grim under his skeleton mask. He didn’t say anything and just waved the Golden Bull Totem to block Night Cooer’s nonstopping crazy attack.

Then, Night Cooer’s Health Point went to zero. She fell on the fla zone. Even if she turned into a corpse, she still glared at Xiaofeng with cold eyes full of hatred.

“Archbishop! Are you all right?”

A female and a male squadron captain rushed over with one hundred paladins respectively, guarding around Xiaofeng, so that no player could get close to him, not to ntion kill him.

“It’s okay. Just destroy here.”

Xiaofeng turned back and walked straight towards the encampnt of the Midsumr Guild.

At this point, the northern side of the Midsumr Guild had been wholly lost. Although the Paladin Order didn’t have so many mbers, an average player couldn’t stop them at all. They could break out of the besiege of a dozen thousand players so easily.

Captain Bolton and his n had already infiltrated into the encampnt. Although a great number of core mbers of the guild were trying to stall them with their corpses, they were still marching to the lobby of the encampnt.

After the arrival of Xiaofeng and his guarding teams consisting of 200 people, all the defensive players of the encampnt were utterly defeated. They broke into the enemy’s territory like splitting bamboo and threw Midsumr Guild’s players directly outside the lobby.

Layers of players surrounded the lobby, but those core mbers and elite players all looked desperate. Watching the approaching Paladin Order, they were slowly retreating. They all knew that they could only stall for a second. This order was unstoppable and their sacrifice would be futile.

When the Paladin Order reached the lobby of the encampnt, they stopped and surrounded the entire two-story camp. Clad in silver armor, all the people of the Paladin Order still had full Health Points by the ti they rushed here. They had been entirely invincible.

“Clang!”

Another group of the Paladin Order approached with their shining armor clattering. The Paladin Order that surrounded the encampnt lobby dispersed for Xiaofeng to ride in on Xiaoxue, and he ca in with two squadron captains.

“Mr. Archbishop.”

Captain Bolton ca up, which frightened all the players of the Midsumr Guild present. As a level-30 Faerie BOSS, his formidable power was beyond their imagination. In the previous battle, so of his skills had dealt at least ten thousand damage points.

But right now, Captain Bolton was politely yielding to a player wearing a skeleton mask.

“He is Master Healer... the first player in Huaxia District.... the number one on all the rankings...”

“The worst enemy of our guild... We received an order to kill him... is this his revenge?”

All the core mbers and high-level players who were staying outside the lobby were worried. Xiaofeng’s identity hadn’t been a secret to them long ago. All people fixed their complicated eyes on him.

Midsumr Rose was also with them. She was surrounded and protected by a group of Midsumr Guild’s core players like an inviolate and holy lotus. She silently stared at Xiaofeng, eyes flashing.

“My lady... We should not have provoked him... we did not expect his revenge to be so fast... and so terrible... He must have brought these Paladins to us...”

Midsumr Lily was standing behind Midsumr Rose. She was no longer arrogant, whispering with a regretful tone and a pale face.

“Ms. Rose, my offer still stands. If you agree to my terms, I can co forward and help you with the situation.”

Brother Nine of Glory was also standing next to them, smiling. He looked handso with his elf appearance.

“Well, if you can solve this ss, I’ll do it.”

No one expected that Midsumr Rose would agree to him. Her eyes had been fixed on Xiaofeng.

“Ha-ha! OK!”

Brother Nine of Glory laughed and walked out from the crowd, coming to Xiaofeng and said, “Master Healer, I am Brother Nine of Glory. I’ve heard a lot about you! Quite a big shot, huh? I didn’t know that you would do this in the Midsumr Guild’s defensive battle. I’m impressed.”

Xiaofeng looked at him without saying a word. It looked as if he were looking down on him because Xiaoxue was so strong and tall so his eyes appeared condescending. Brother Nine of Glory slightly frowned, but he continued.

“Here’s what I want to tell you. I would like to co forward to resolve the contradiction between you and the Midsumr Guild. There is a way to avoid further bloodshed, right? I hope you can consider my suggestion.”

After hearing what he said, Xiaofeng directly turned around, ignoring Brother Nine of Glory. Staring at the lobby in front of him, he waved his hand.

“Take it down.”

“Kill them!”

Thousands of paladins rushed forward at the sa ti in their clanging silver armor, killing all those core mbers around the encampnt’s lobby. They shredded those core mbers like pieces of papers and the players couldn’t fight back at all.

“How dare you!”

Brother Nine of Glory was furious. He didn’t expect that he would be ignored like that. Nevertheless, before he could say anything, a passer-by paladin already killed him at his convenience and stamped on his corpse while rushing forward.

There was nothing unexpected about the result. The Paladin Order was unstoppable like splitting bamboos. People of the encampnt’s lobby could last less than ten seconds, then they were all taken down.

“Regional announcent! The encampnt of the Midsumr Guild was destroyed! Because the Midsumr Guild failed in the defensive battle at the encampnt, it would be disbanded. All the regions around will be repossessed by the system. The creeps of the area around will be respawned in ten minutes!”
