As soon as Quentin Donovan finished speaking, Yvonne Donovan almost simultaneously cut in.
"She helped you make money from stocks? Co on, Quentin, if you’re going to make up stories, at least make them believable."
Right, Yvonne simply couldn’t believe that soone like July Quinn, from a poor mountain village, could actually make money trading stocks.
"Stocks have an elent of luck; that doesn’t an she has stock trading skills or talent."
Old Master Donovan also chid in.
Unlike Yvonne, who was just focused on disparaging July, Old Master Donovan understood that Quentin’s willingness to call her ’July’ stemd from his recognition of her stock trading skills and talent.
So he tried to steer the conversation towards luck, hoping Quentin would change his view.
But even before he could finish, Quentin added, "No, it’s not just luck. Her predictions were so accurate, it was terrifying."
"You know, I’ve been making money from stocks because I’ve been trading for over a decade and have so predictive ability. But even with that background, I got trapped with a lot of capital today. But July had been warning before I bought in that there would be a cliff fall, and I didn’t believe her, which ended up costing heavily."

After listening to what Quentin said, Old Master Donovan was silent for a long ti.

"A casino? So all this money ca from gambling?"
Old Master Donovan frowned.
All his life, he’s disdained gamblers.
His second brother had lost everything and his family beca separated because of gambling.
So upon learning that July Quinn made that seventy million on the gambling tables, the little bit of change in perspective he had for her was instantly erased.
