When Roman Kidd rushed to the hotel buffet breakfast area, July Quinn was still sitting alone in a booth.

In front of her was a vegetable salad, but it looked untouched. She was just staring out the window, her beautiful eyes full of unspoken thoughts.

Through the bustling crowd, Roman could see this version of July Quinn from afar. It felt like sothing was scratching inside him, tickling.

But at this mont, he didn’t ponder what it truly ant; he just quickly walked over to where July was.

His presence caused quite a stir in the hotel buffet breakfast area.

"Oh my god, Vice President Kidd? What’s he doing here?"

"Roman Kidd looks even better than a TV star, and his aura can’t be matched by any of those celebrities. He’s simply top-tier among n."

"Huh? Vice President Kidd ca to see July Quinn? Looks like the official team also wants to recruit her!"

Amidst the heated discussion, July Quinn finally seed to notice Roman Kidd standing before her.

But she looked up and locked eyes with Roman for a long while without saying a word.

Instead, the leader of the official team, who had co with Roman, hurried to explain his presence:

"July Quinn, Vice President Kidd wants to talk to you about participating in the boxing tournant."

"Let’s discuss it elsewhere," July withdrew her gaze from Roman’s face and was the first to stand up, heading outside.

Because of Roman Kidd’s appearance, this corner had beco the focus of the entire breakfast area. July didn’t like being watched like an animal in a zoo.

Roman paused, then followed her.

The official team leader, seeing this, also prepared to step quickly to catch up, ready to serve Roman Kidd at any ti.

But just as he took a step, Roman’s voice ca through: "You can stay here."

A few minutes later, July led him to the terrace on one side of the hotel.

With no one else around, only the breeze brushed past their hair tips.

But Roman wondered if he was imagining it; July seed particularly burdened today, her once clear and bright eyes seemingly covered with dust.

The breeze drew her hair tips across her lips, but she didn’t seem to notice.

Just as Roman’s hand almost moved to brush away those strands, July was the first to speak: "What do you want to say about the boxing competition?"

Her voice snapped him awake, and he quickly withdrew his outstretched hand.

Roman cleared his throat: "The participants in the boxing tournant have extraordinary physiques and striking power. Anyone who hasn’t undergone professional training will either be maid or killed."

He directly explained the dangers before he even began to persuade July not to participate.

Unexpectedly, July gave him a faint smile and retorted, "So my participation is exactly what you want?"

"What do you an?"

If she participated in the boxing tournant, she would either be maid or killed. How could that be what Roman wanted?

"If I die or get maid, your cousin would have a chance to beco Mrs. Keaton, right?"

July’s words left Roman stunned.

It was true, but he...

But he simply didn’t want July to die; he wouldn’t even want her to lose a single hair.

Although he wasn’t sure if this was a sense of duty or if he had developed different personal feelings for July.

He couldn’t figure it out, but he was sure he had never wished her harm.

For this reason, he even grabbed July’s wrist, his expression serious and unusually determined.

"July Quinn, whether you believe it or not, I don’t want to see you dead or maid."
