"And I’ve heard that Victor Hawthorne knows July Quinn very well, he..."

Willow Young didn’t know that every word she uttered was like a knife stabbing into Joy Quinn’s heart, and she intended to continue speaking.

But before she could finish, Joy Quinn interrupted her.

"Enough."

Willow was startled by Joy Quinn’s raised voice, and when she turned back, she saw that the usual gentleness and friendliness on Joy’s face had vanished, replaced by a grim and sinister expression.

This was the first ti Willow saw Joy Quinn like this.

Honestly, it was sowhat terrifying...

So much so that her voice carried a slight tremor: "Joy?"

Perhaps Willow’s voice reminded her, Joy Quinn then realized her loss of composure, quickly hiding those odd expressions and replacing them with her usual gentle spring-like smile.

"Sorry, maybe I didn’t sleep well last night and I’m a bit grumpy. Willow, please don’t be mad at , okay?"

Willow had already made it this far in her move, and unless absolutely necessary, Joy Quinn wouldn’t abandon her.

"I’m not angry, but hasn’t the apartnt next door to yours finished its renovations yet?"

Willow knew that recently, the next door to the rental apartnt Joy Quinn and her mother lived in had been undergoing renovations, day and night.

So lately, Joy Quinn ca to school every day with rather noticeable under-eye circles.

"Not yet."

"Then why not complain about them? Who can endure this?"

"Forget it, they’re just trying to move in quickly."

"Joy, you’re really too kind. If I couldn’t sleep because of the noise, I definitely wouldn’t be as magnanimous as you."

Willow couldn’t help but praise.

Yes, this was the Joy Quinn she was familiar with; even if others hurt her, she would still forgive generously.

As for that scene just now, it must be because she’s too tired, and Willow bothered her, causing her to act like that!

"I’m not as good as you think." Joy Quinn humbly smiled.

Actually, the renovation next door was only part of the reason for Joy Quinn’s insomnia.

What truly kept Joy Quinn up all night was the pressure from July Quinn.

She didn’t want her elegance to be overshadowed by July, so she kept striving hard, but sotis it was a bit beyond her capabilities.

That’s why she didn’t bother arguing with the renovating neighbor.

"Oh, by the way, in a couple of days my cousin and his association friends are inviting to dinner, do you want to co along?"

Joy Quinn casually switched topics.

Willow Young instantly beca thrilled to the point of losing her bearings: "Yes, yes! Joy, I didn’t realize you rembered this."

"You’re my best sister, how could I forget what you said?"

Joy Quinn also said, "I’ve already helped you find out my cousin’s ideal type, I’ll help you pick clothes and makeup then."

"Joy, you’re amazing..."

Willow happily hugged Joy Quinn, her eyes full of longing for love and the future.

However, in her glee, Willow completely overlooked the obvious mocking curve at Joy Quinn’s lips.

A faded flower like Willow, there’s no way Joy would take her to et her cousin and the mbers of ridia Language Association.

The reason for saying this was rely to mislead Willow, to make her trust Joy more.

As for July Quinn, she didn’t believe soone that young could shake up everything else.

Even if July Quinn accepted that invitation, so what?

Once she conducts her first class, she’ll definitely embarrass herself!
