Joy Quinn didn’t bother to put away her small mirror before frowning and looking at the person behind her.
"I..."
Actually, what Joy wanted to ask was exactly what Victor wanted to know.
He rembered he didn’t invite Joy to this birthday party.
But before he could say anything, Joy questioned, "Are you stalking ?"
Although it was phrased as a question, Joy’s tone was quite certain.
She hadn’t been in contact with Victor recently, so there was no way he could know her whereabouts.
The fact that Victor appeared at the sa place right after her only proved that he had been following her!
If she hadn’t spotted Victor just in ti, she might have been caught by him during her date with Leo!
This discovery made Joy uneasy, but it also pissed her off imnsely.
Wasn’t Victor starting to care about July Quinn?
Then why was he still trailing after her like a puppy?
Could it be that he was just acting concerned with July to provoke her?
No!
Even if he was trying to provoke her by being nice to July, Joy was not going to forgive him.
Therefore, her tone towards Victor was harsher than ever before.
"Victor Hawthorne, I didn’t expect you to stoop so low just to pursue !"
"Joy Quinn, what are you even talking about?"
Straightforward Victor was completely bewildered as to why Joy suddenly appeared at his house, accusing him of stalking her.
"Even at this mont, you’re still playing dumb, how disgusting!"
Just as Joy was saying this, Leo arrived.
Seeing Leo, Joy seed to find her support and rushed over to him with teary eyes.
"Leo..."
As they say, one shouldn’t ss with a friend’s girl, so Leo quickly dodged to the side.
Missing her target and nearly falling, Joy’s eyes shimred with tears, as if accusing these two guys of being heartless.
Leo acted like he didn’t see it: "Let’s talk this out calmly."
"I ca to see you, and he followed here, trying to..."
Joy believed Leo had feelings for her but was just too embarrassed to accept it because Victor stood between them.
Now, by painting Victor as a villain, Joy hoped to give Leo an excuse to play the hero and discard his wimpy friend.
As for Victor, a nobody with no money or status, what could he do even if she wronged him?
Unexpectedly, Leo was puzzled by her words: "That can’t be right."
"How can it not be? If you hadn’t arrived in ti, I would have been..."
Joy’s eyes reddened as she hid beside Leo, as if she had truly been violated by Victor.
anwhile, Victor glared at Joy, the veins on his forehead visibly bulging.
Even after seeing the chat logs between him and Joy shared by Leo, Victor didn’t want to think less of Joy.
But now, with her slandering him, she quietly extinguished the last hope he held in his heart for her.
Seeing Victor’s face change, Leo quickly shouted at Joy.
"Stop talking. Captain Hawthorne didn’t stalk you!"
Leo had brought Joy to cheer Victor up for his birthday, not to cause trouble.
But Joy countered, "Didn’t stalk ? Then how did he end up here?"
"He..."
Leo was about to say sothing when the maid who had led Joy in returned.
However, as soon as she ca back, she went straight to Victor.
"Young master, are all your friends here?"
Joy watched the scene, feeling like a thunderous explosion went off in her head!
