This group seems well-prepared, charging straight toward the bus parked at the side.
anwhile, a few Vanguard War Generals had just co out of the bathroom.
Among them were Wendy Tierney and Thomas Grant.
Seeing the tattoos on the arms of those well-trained n, Thomas Grant’s expression changed: "Not good, it’s people from the Alpha rcenary Corps."
"Damn it, isn’t it just a witness? Why did Ford hire people from the Alpha rcenary Corps?"
Wendy Tierney’s expression wasn’t good either.
The Vanguard Corps of The Keaton Family essentially acts like rcenaries.
But The Keaton Family accepts only legitimate assignnts.
Unlike those rcenaries who accept any job for money, they will do anything from looting to burning.
The most famous among rcenaries recently is the Alpha rcenary Corps.
It’s said they are extrely capable, whether in gunfights or hand-to-hand combat, their strength far exceeds other rcenary groups.
Especially their leader Susan Carter, who is said to have exceptional shooting skills and fist skills that make underground fighters tremble.
Thus, the Alpha rcenary Corps successfully climbed to the top of the recent rcenary list, with their hiring fees being hundreds of tis higher than other rcenary groups.
But why would Ford hire the Alpha rcenary Corps for a re witness?
Of course, finding out the reason behind this isn’t the priority now.
What the Vanguard War Generals must urgently consider is how to save Darren’s life from the Alpha rcenary Corps, along with July Quinn and Owen Shaw.
Currently, even the Vanguard Corps of The Keaton Family is no match for the Alpha rcenary Corps.
Even Thomas Grant and Wendy Tierney don’t dare say they could confront Susan Carter to the end.
"The most important thing now is to protect Darren and July Quinn; you guys grab weapons and head to the rear."
"Wendy, you and I will attack from the front and distract their n, giving the rear team a chance to rescue."
Thomas Grant, worthy of being the ace of The Keaton Family’s Vanguard Corps, remained calm and composed, even as the situation changed, and devised a plan.
"At a ti like this, why is she still focused on eating instant noodles? Was she a starving ghost reincarnated?"
Wayne Shelby was originally observing the movents of the Alpha rcenary Corps mbers, but accidentally caught sight of July Quinn’s direction.
Seeing it made his heart almost stop in anger.
Because July Quinn was still sitting under an umbrella provided by the gas station, slurping instant noodles.
The key point is, there were two rcenaries with guns walking back and forth in front of her.
Owen Shaw’s face was already pale with fear, frozen in place.
But July Quinn continued to slurp the instant noodles with abandon...
Anyone would be infuriated just by looking at this.
Thomas Grant and Wendy Tierney followed Wayne Shelby’s gaze and saw July Quinn slurping noodles.
Internally, everyone’s mind raced at eight tis the speed of sound like a herd of wild horses.
Yet Thomas Grant was the first to snap out of his indignation, "Alright. The most important thing now is to protect Darren; if the mission fails, we can’t report back."
So, under Thomas Grant’s leadership, the Vanguard Corps began the planned rescue of Darren.
The unfortunate thing was, the bus had already been taken over by the Alpha rcenary Corps.
After a fierce fight, Thomas Grant and Wendy Tierney ran out of bullets and were captured.
The rescue squad in the rear wasn’t spared either.
In the blink of an eye, they were all tied up by the Alpha rcenaries, their hands and feet bound in the corner of the gas station.
Susan Carter, a big guy standing at six foot three, learned they were Vanguard War Generals from The Keaton Family and ca out to et them.
"So you are the Vanguard War Generals from The Keaton Family? I’ve heard of you!"
Although Susan Carter was a foreigner, he spoke Mandarin fluently.
Because he quite liked the culture of Aphelion, he specifically learned the language and even adopted a local na.
Upon hearing this, the Vanguard War Generals showed so signs of surprise.
Especially Wayne Shelby, who thought he might receive special attention from Susan Carter, his lips almost curled into a smile.
But reality proved he was overthinking.
With a shift in tone, Susan Carter continued:
"I was looking forward to a showdown with you, but now it seems unnecessary. You’re just so ordinary..."
The disdain in his voice was unmistakable.
