After being driven out of Wisteria TV, Stephen Stone and Eleanor Gage left disheartened and dejected.
Two days later, the Phaeton Restaurant Chain collapsed due to poor managent and cash flow issues.
As a result, the Stone Family owed over a hundred million, and even the house they were living in was forcibly auctioned by the court.
And so, the Stone Family, who all studied abroad and considered themselves highly cultured and superior, were left wandering the streets.
Sadly, because they always looked down on others due to their overseas experiences, they had offended all relatives and friends.
Therefore, even when they had no place to live, no one was willing to lend them a helping hand.
Helpless, they could only pin their hopes on their sons who studied abroad.
But neither the elder son nor the younger son, Stephen Stone, could find a company willing to hire them.
"Why?"
In Eleanor Gage’s eyes, her sons were always the most outstanding.
As long as they were willing to find a job, they were sure to be sought after in the industry.
But the reality was that the children kept facing setbacks, which almost humiliated her.
"Wrong specialization, they don’t need PhDs like us who studied abroad," Stephen Stone said forlornly.
He had been job-hunting all day and was exhausted and hungry.
Sadly, the family didn’t even have a place to stay.
He initially hoped to find a job that provided accommodation so he could rest a bit.
But the reality was far different...
"How could it be the wrong specialization? They really can’t see talent. Where can they find two such talented and highly-educated people like you nowadays?"
Eleanor Gage cursed under her breath.
But she was unaware that, to study abroad, both her sons had chosen very niche specializations.
After all, they had so family wealth and industry, so both were planning to return ho to manage the business and hadn’t invested much in their studies.
But the result was that the family business went bankrupt.
Not only were their specializations unpopular, but their academic performance was lackluster as well.
After a whole day of interviews, they were all advised to leave.
Already in a bad mood, Stephen Stone couldn’t stand listening to Eleanor Gage’s nagging anymore and shouted:
"Enough! Would our family have ended up like this if it weren’t for you acting like this?"
"You’re blaming ? Didn’t I do all this for your good?"
Eleanor Gage felt unjustly accused; wasn’t she raising the Stone Family’s standards for the next generation out of good intentions?
"Your idea of ’for my good’ is breaking up my relationship, making my fiancée abort our child and leave ? Your ’for my good’ is dragging my bright future into darkness? If that’s your idea of good for , I can’t bear it."
Already furious about the Vivian Lynn incident, Stephen Stone exploded now that the fuse was lit.
"How was I supposed to know Vivian Lynn was that ruthless? You don’t bla her, but you have the nerve to bla ? You ungrateful child, I raised you with so much dedication, and you’re blaming for the sake of a woman?"
Eleanor Gage was also full of grievances, frustrated at having nowhere to vent.
In the end, mother and son quarrelled relentlessly on the street.
"If it weren’t for you, I would be the boss of Wisteria TV now. But now look at , I can’t even land a job."
"You bla for not getting hired? It’s your own incompetence..."
Vivian Lynn happened to witness this scene on her way ho from work and could only quietly feel fortunate to have severed ties with this self-serving family.
