Joseph: "How did you know we were going to et the Earl?"

"Do you know who the Earl is?" Jennings also asked.

Susan Carter smiled mysteriously: "You’ll find out soon enough."

Then she didn’t even serve them tea, just tossed a few empty cups onto the table and left the private room.

Looking at the cups scattered across the table, Jennings couldn’t help but voice his concern: "Dad, I have a feeling July is the Earl?"

He was imdiately reprimanded by Joseph.

"Are you kidding? The Earl is considered more experienced than the traders on Wall Street, how could they be so young girl?"

"I also think it’s impossible. But..."

But that thought just couldn’t be held back!

Jennings hadn’t finished speaking when Joseph interrupted him.

"Stop talking nonsense. Hurry up and urge the Earl’s side; didn’t they say they don’t like when people are late for etings? Why hasn’t the Earl shown up even though it’s ti?"

Those last words were addressed to the butler by Joseph.

But just as he finished speaking, the room’s door was pushed open.

Following was a luxurious female voice:

"The timing is just right."

This voice made the three n in the room look towards the door, only to see a woman in a blue-black coat enter.

She wore a beret on her head, and the fluffy look was quite comforting.

Her looks were astonishingly beautiful, the kind that one would rember at a glance.

What shocked Joseph and the butler the most was how similar she looked to Laura Quinn...

"You... you’re Laura’s illegitimate daughter!"

Joseph almost ground his teeth as he spoke.

Because to him, this girl’s presence was a constant reminder of the field of grass growing on his forehead.

"July? Why are you here?"

Jennings imdiately followed up.

Though the butler was deeply shocked, marveling at how Laura Quinn’s good genes were passed to this girl, he knew it wasn’t his place to speak.

"You and my mom never married, at most I’m a child born out of wedlock, not an illegitimate child. Besides, my mom doesn’t like people calling ’illegitimate child.’"

July Quinn retorted calmly, Joseph’s face visibly turning red.

But July Quinn didn’t care if he was angry, she only looked at Jennings and said: "You arranged this eting, did you forget?"

Jennings frowned and asked July: "Then where’s the Earl?"

Joseph also looked towards the room’s entrance.

Yes, in their view, even if there was a connection between the Earl and July, it couldn’t possibly be just July alone.

So there should be another expert involved.

Their interest was more focused on contacting that expert.

As long as they convinced that expert not to interfere, there was no need to be concerned about July and her side.

However, they waited and waited by the door, but they never saw anyone else enter.

Instead, July said: "I am the Earl, and the Earl is ."

"No, how can that be?" Jennings had entertained this idea, but still couldn’t accept it.

And Joseph completely dismissed July’s claims: "Do you think that by claiming this, I’ll be scared and backing down without a fight?"

Indeed, he couldn’t believe July was the cunning Earl.

"Believe it if you want, I’m too lazy to hide from you anymore."

July Quinn smiled, appearing fearlessly confident.

The lazy yet unpretentious regal deanor made Joseph’s expression change once more.
