A boy about the sa age as her child calling her Grandma from the mont he walked in, Laura Quinn was truly baffled.
"I acknowledged July as my Dad, so wouldn’t you be my Grandma?"
"Huh? Can you tell why you’d want to be my baby’s son?"
"She treats better than my own parents do, so of course I’d acknowledge her as my Dad."
Laura Quinn spread her hands helplessly, indicating that she really couldn’t understand the mindset of young people today.
So she simply cut a drumstick and shoved it into Victor Hawthorne’s mouth, "Alright, enjoy your turkey, young man!"
Having dealt with this noisy fellow, Laura Quinn then turned to July Quinn.
"Baby, why have you stopped eating? Is it because my cooking isn’t good?"
July Quinn, apart from having a few bites of the roast turkey at the start, spent the rest of her ti spacing out.
"Mom, aren’t you mad at ?"
She had brought Richard Donovan and the others to the door, and her mother surely guessed her intentions.
Yet Laura Quinn hadn’t uttered a single word of reproach, which surprisingly made her feel uneasy inside.
"Baby, I know you did it for my sake, so I don’t bla you at all. It’s just that I no longer want to deal with matters of love, so don’t try to bring people to again, okay?"
Laura Quinn gently stroked July Quinn’s hair, speaking softly and without a hint of anger at July Quinn’s intentions.

Victor Hawthorne told Laura Quinn about how July Quinn and he got into a scuffle the first ti they t and how they eventually beca friends.
Aside from the unexpected encounter with Richard Donovan, hearing about her daughter’s past adventures made this a very happy day for Laura Quinn.
