Victor Hawthorne, confused, opened the ssage.

He saw that it was a chat window with July Quinn that popped up.

It read: [Want to be my dad? Looks like my punch wasn’t strong enough.]

"Holy crap, a ghost!" Victor was so scared that he dropped his phone, shattering the screen.

But after the intense panic, Victor felt a rush of glee.

He hurriedly picked up the phone to reply to July Quinn.

Even though the cracks on the screen were severe, nothing could stop his urgent desire to communicate with July Quinn.

[As expected of my dad, even dead you can still pretend to be a ghost! Do you need to find you a sunshade?]

Even if July Quinn existed in another form, he could accept it.

It was better than never seeing her again and gradually forgetting her in the river of mories.

But just as Victor sent his ssage, he got scolded.

[Even if you died, I might not die! Want to be my dad? Let’s talk when you can beat up!]

[Dad, as long as you are alive, you will always be my dad. But can you tell your dear son whether you’re really alive?]

Victor never wanted to experience being beaten by July Quinn again.

But right now, he was more eager to know if July Quinn was truly alive.

So before waiting for July Quinn to reply, Victor directly sent a video call request.

And then, the video call was answered.

On the other end of the cara was a face so beautiful that it overshadowed the sunlight in his mory.

At that mont, tough guy Victor couldn’t hold back and burst into tears.

"Dad... You’re not dead, you’re not dead! That’s amazing..."

Seeing Victor in tears, July Quinn suddenly felt uncertain.

She hadn’t expected her fake death to cause such grief to her friend.

But before she could organize an apology, she heard tearful Victor mumbling on the other side of the video: "But Dad, how did you get fatter when you didn’t die?"

July Quinn: "..."

Lately, she had been staying with Laura Quinn, who always felt she was too skinny and kept making her delicious food.

Little by little, she felt she might have gained so weight over the past half month.

But won never like being told they’re fat.

Even soone as stunning as July Quinn doesn’t like it.

So she thought she should’ve just pretended to be a ghost and scared Victor to death, sparing her from hearing these unsavory comnts.

However, whether Victor figured out that July wanted his life or he was genuinely sincere, he quickly added, "But you look better with a bit of extra weight; you look younger."

The kind of pure allure she had was unmatched.

If it weren’t for his unclear situation with her and his uncle, he would definitely pursue her.

Seeing July Quinn still gazing coldly at him, showing no sign of being comforted, Victor quickly wiped away his embarrassing tears and pretended to change the subject.

"By the way, does Kyle Keaton know you’re alive?"

If Kyle didn’t know, he thought he definitely wouldn’t tell him.

That way, he would have a chance to get closer to July Quinn.

If Kyle knew, considering the connection between July Quinn’s cliff-fall and Kyle Keaton, he doubted July would easily forgive Kyle.

So, it seed he still had a chance to develop a deeper relationship with July Quinn.

Victor’s perfect plan was shattered shortly

afterwards when a familiar figure suddenly appeared behind July Quinn.

Victor looked closely, his jaw dropping in shock.

His uncle...
