"July, why did you co out of the cabinet? Do you know? I was so scared just now that my heart nearly jumped out of my throat."
Laura Quinn hurriedly approached July Quinn, reaching out to take the bottle of dicine from July’s hand.
"Soon after he ca in, I was feeling suffocated inside the cabinet, so I made a hole on the side of your wardrobe."
As for Laura Quinn’s pile of ssy clothes, they were pulled down by her to cover that hole.
Seeing Laura reaching for the dicine, July evaded her hand while also twisting open the bottle cap.
"July, don’t spill it. This concerns your grandfather’s health..."
Seeing July twist open the cap, Laura urgently reminded her.
But July was unmoved, directly putting the dicine to her nose for a sniff, and imdiately, her beautiful brows furrowed into a knot.
"A lot of sedatives and calming agents are added in here. What’s wrong with my grandfather?"
If she guessed correctly, it wasn’t Laura who voluntarily stayed at Marsden Estate, nor was she kidnapped by Joseph to the estate.
Rather, Joseph controlled Laura’s father through so illness, forcing Laura to stay at the estate to deal with him.
"Your grandfather is ill."
"What illness?"
"I don’t know the specifics, I’ve sought out many famous doctors to no effect. Only Joseph has dicine that eases his suffering."
Laura’s words indirectly confird most of July’s earlier suspicions.
"I can cure grandfather’s illness. You’ll leave with later."
"July, you can cure it?"
Laura was evidently still a bit skeptical of July’s dical skills.
Though Elder Cole had previously conveyed information about July’s advanced dical skills and rising fa dostically, believing that July could even cure Old Master Quinn’s illness seed a bit challenging.
Think about it, how many renowned doctors had she consulted before?
Moreover, those were all elderly experts who were helpless against Old Master Quinn’s condition.
Now, could July, who is only a few years old, really cure it?
"I can. Trust , alright? I wouldn’t joke around with my family mber’s life."
Laura naturally trusted that July wouldn’t joke about Old Master Quinn’s life, but...
Before Laura could express her thoughts, Jennings’s voice suddenly ca from outside the door.
"Michelle, where are you?"
"Michelle?"
Jennings even knocked on Laura’s door.
This was a desperate move, because prior to this, he had knocked on almost every door in the estate trying to find Miss Michelle.
Now only Laura’s door remained unvisited.
While Jennings knocked outside, Laura and July exchanged silent glances...
A few minutes later, Laura opened the door, seriously saying, "My room is not a restroom to let people just co and go."
anwhile, July had already donned her small hat, the lace veil covering most of her face: "Sorry, I truly didn’t know this was your room, madam. I got lost here, but every room looks exactly the sa."
"Not the sa, a lavender bouquet hangs at my door."
Laura continued her unforgiving deanor at Marsden Estate, a stance Jennings seed accustod to as he hurriedly stepped forward.
"Hey, beautiful Miss Quinn. This is my partner, probably wandered here by accident. Please don’t be angry, I’ll take her away imdiately."
Fearing Laura might complicate things further, Jennings spoke while pushing July towards the exit.
