Chapter 337: Light Wings and Flying Ability
"Boss, Boss!"
As soon as Li ng stepped through the mansion's gates, the Light Sli bounced toward him excitedly.
"Boss, did you et my companions?"
The Light Sli could sense the presence of many of its companions in Li ng.
"Yeah, I did. Why, do you want to go back?"
"Boss, I want to go back."
Sky City was indeed an ideal place for Light Slis to live, with its abundance of light elents.
"Then I'll take you back."
Li ng had planned to get so sleep, but after a mont's thought, he gave up on the idea.
He decided to first return the Light Sli to Sky City and then head directly back to the labyrinth city, Aukladeo.
And so, freshly back at the mansion, Li ng once again left, carrying the Light Sli with him.
---
Half an hour later, outside Rogue Town.
Li ng stopped atop a small hill.
"Can I fly?"
He muttered to himself as he gazed at the distant Rogue Town.
The Radiant Angel’s light wings had inspired him. From those wings, Li ng sensed concentrated light elent spirits.
The angel’s light wings must be so kind of magic.
"Let’s give it a try!"
As he spoke, sacred light elents burst forth from his body.
A radiant tendril of pure light ford behind him.
One tendril, two, three—soon there were eight, ten, and finally twelve.
Twelve tendrils of light appeared on either side of Li ng, emitting a dazzling glow that wrapped him in a halo of holy light.
Li ng glanced at the light wings swaying slightly by his side.
Each tendril was composed of light elent spirits, resembling the Eastern Dragon in form.
"Is this how angel wings look in that ga from Earth?"
Pretty much.
The light wings behind him reminded Li ng of a certain angel design from a brush ga back on Earth.
Not just similar—it was identical.
"Alright, ti to fly!"
Li ng wasn’t sure if it would work, but he had to try.
If successful, it would greatly reduce the disadvantage of fighting enemies with flying capabilities.
He crouched slightly, took a deep breath, and launched himself into the air.
With a loud "boom," the ground beneath him cracked as Li ng's robed figure shot upward.
A streak of light darted across the sky.
"Really? I can fly?"
From the mont he jumped, Li ng felt a strong propulsion from the light wings behind him.
He was flying—freely soaring through the air.
Hundreds of ters above the ground, a radiant streak zipped past, high above the earth below.
The rush of wind whipped against him, the pressure pounding against his body.
Li ng relished the electrifying sensation.
"Faster, faster!"
Though his speed was already impressive, he craved more.
It was as if the light wings sensed his desires. The tendrils of light flared brighter, bursting with sacred energy.
The radiant streak soaring across the sky grew even more brilliant.
With another deafening "boom," a shockwave erupted, and the sound of the air splitting roared through the heavens.
The streak of light accelerated further, racing toward the horizon.
What would have taken days on foot, Li ng covered in just over ten minutes, reaching the entrance to the 41st floor.
---
"What was that just now?"
In the passage leading to the 41st floor, a hundred-strong adventuring party was on the move.
Suddenly, a streak of light zipped over their heads.
A powerful gust of wind followed, sweeping through the corridor.
The unexpected wind left the adventurers puzzled.
"Where did the wind co from?"
So adventurers, sharp-eyed, caught a glimpse of the light above them.
But it was too fast to discern.
"It looked like sothing flew past."
"Yeah, what was that?"
"Could it be so kind of unknown labyrinth creature?"
"Impossible. This corridor has never housed any labyrinth creatures."
---
anwhile, at the exit from the 40th to the 41st floor, a streak of light burst out of the passage and shot straight into the sky.
Soaring high above the endless desert, Li ng was thrilled.
With the ability to fly, traveling between continents would be much more convenient.
At his current speed, he could return to the Southern Continent in no more than five days.
---
Sky City, amidst the ruined cityscape.
The long-dormant teleportation magic circle lit up again.
Carrying the Light Sli, Li ng appeared amidst the surge of blue magical energy.
Surveying his surroundings, the familiar scene confird he was back in Sky City.
Li ng stepped out onto the street and gently placed the Light Sli on the ground.
"Go ahead!"
"Boss, I’m heading back."
"Alright, go."
The Light Sli hopped away toward the plaza.
Helena’s group had captured five Light Slis.
In the future, Li ng would retrieve every last one of them.
He had promised his Light Sli companions.
---
[Master, Sky City has multiple layers of barriers. You won’t be able to fly out.]
Li ng had just taken off when Xiao Bai’s voice chid in.
Startled, Li ng could only give up with regret.
He had intended to fly straight out of Sky City and head to Aukladeo.
It seed that wouldn’t be possible.
Left with no choice, Li ng turned back to the teleportation magic circle.
Before long, the circle once again emitted a blue glow of magical energy.
As the light faded, Li ng, who had been standing within the circle, was nowhere to be seen.
---
The round trip cost Li ng nearly an entire day.
It wasn’t until the following afternoon that he returned to Rogue Town.
"Finally back!"
Pushing open the door, Li ng muttered to himself as he stepped into the mansion’s hall.
The first thing on his agenda was a long bath.
Then a good nap.
After that, he would leave the 40th floor and return to Aukladeo.
Soon, the magical lights in the bathroom flickered on.
Relaxing in the hot water, Li ng leaned back with a contented expression.
Two hours later, he finally erged from the bath.
Back in his bedroom, Li ng collapsed onto the bed and fell into a deep sleep.
---
Knock, knock!
Three days passed before soone knocked on the mansion’s door, waking Li ng from his slumber.
Click!
Monts later, the door opened from the inside.
"Helena?"
Standing outside was Helena, dressed in a flowing light-blue gown, a faint blush coloring her face.
Li ng looked at her curiously. He had assud she had already left for Aukladeo.
Unexpectedly, she was still here in the labyrinth.
"Um... Silver Mask, may I speak with you?"
Helena’s face was slightly flushed, her gaze darting nervously as she avoided eye contact.
Li ng stepped aside.
"Co in, let’s talk."
Helena nodded lightly and entered the mansion.
In the living room, the two sat across from each other on the sofa.
