Chapter 321: Battle Between Divine-Level Powerhouses
A figure in a flowing water-blue robe appeared silently on a distant rooftop. Her waist-length water-blue hair confird her identity—she was one of the Water Dragon sub-race.
"This has escalated beyond what words can resolve," she said solemnly.
Another voice spoke beside her, and a man clad in a brown combat outfit appeared. He was human, standing with his sword in hand.
The four figures on the rooftops faced each other, separated by about a hundred ters. The atmosphere grew increasingly tense.
Down on the street, the guards exchanged uneasy glances.
"We’re leaving," their leader said wisely, leading his n away. Their task was rely to knock on the taphorical door. Now that it had been done, their job was complete.
"Give it up. There are three of us, and only one of you," the human swordsman said coldly, staring at Li ng.
He couldn’t sense any magical or martial energy from Silver Mask. Soone without even an aura wasn’t worthy of their combined effort.
"Are you sure about that?" Li ng said with a smirk.
As his words fell, he released the barrier that had been suppressing his magic.
A surge of water-blue energy erupted from his body, saturating the air and dyeing the space around them in blue hues. The imnse magical force distorted the space itself, shaking the surrounding area.
An overwhelming aura radiated from Li ng, causing the Water Dragon woman’s face to turn pale. She stumbled back, clutching her mouth to suppress the urge to vomit.
Helena, known as the Great Sage of Water, could feel the horrifying intensity of this power. Her voice trembled. "A monster... that’s a true monster."
"What’s wrong, Helena?" Ulysses, the swordsman beside her, asked, startled by her reaction.
While both Ulysses and Matthew, the hulking ax-wielder, were shaken by Silver Mask’s sudden display of power, Helena’s reaction was far more extre.
She stared at the black-robed figure with wide eyes, terror etched on her face. "He’s no ordinary being... is he hiding a Sea Dragon under that robe? No, even a Sea Dragon couldn’t possess such overwhelming magical energy. Every water elental spirit in the area is flocking to him. I might not even be able to cast water magic right now, and if I could, its power would be less than a tenth of normal."
Ulysses and Matthew exchanged grim looks, now fully aware that this was no ordinary opponent.
"Is that... summoning magic?" Ulysses murmured.
From within the radiant blue aura surrounding Li ng, a massive creature erged behind him. It resembled a serpent yet was distinct, nearly a hundred ters long and coiling behind him. Its enormous body was composed entirely of water elents, with scales that seed lifelike despite their elental nature.
The three adversaries stared in shock. This was no re serpent—it was a dragon, an East dragon.
Li ng raised his right hand and pointed forward. The colossal dragon launched like a spring, barreling through the air. Buildings crumbled into rubble as it passed, its massive jaws opening wide to strike at Helena and Ulysses.
"Helena, defense!" Ulysses roared, stepping in front of Helena to shield her.
Snapping out of her daze, Helena bit her lip and raised her staff to chant. But as she began, her expression shifted. "It’s no use! This is superior suppression!"
"What?" Ulysses shouted, alard.
Superior suppression was a phenonon among magic users. When facing a higher-tier magician of the sa elent, the lower-tier mage’s magic could be suppressed or outright controlled by the superior. This was why most mages trained in two different elents—but Helena, being a Water Dragon sub-race, was innately bound to water magic.
"Blade Stream!" Ulysses shouted, his figure flashing forward to et the dragon’s attack. His sword glowed as he unleashed a brilliant slash at the serpent’s head.
The strike landed, but Ulysses’ face fell. His blade bounced off the scales as if striking steel. A magical barrier encased the dragon’s form, and his attack only caused faint ripples.
Using the recoil to retreat, Ulysses landed heavily on the street below. "He’s a Water God-level Grand Mage!" he yelled as Helena pulled back to gain distance.
anwhile, the East dragon pursued Ulysses relentlessly, its maw opening to unleash a water cannon. Hearing the roar of water behind him, Ulysses turned and slashed, sending a transparent blade of energy to et the attack.
"Boom!"
The water cannon exploded mid-air, sending waves crashing into the surrounding buildings. Entire blocks collapsed in the aftermath.
On another rooftop, Matthew grinned savagely. He darted from one roof to another, rapidly closing the distance to Li ng. His movents were so fast that only a blur could be seen.
"Matthew, watch out! Behind you!" Ulysses shouted, noticing the dragon’s massive tail swinging toward Matthew.
Matthew glanced back and was horrified. He leaped upward at the last second as the dragon’s tail smashed through the building he had just stood on. The structure crumbled into dust, and debris flew skyward.

"What is that thing?"
"Such a huge serpent!"
"You idiot, that’s a water elental summon!"
The commotion had drawn the attention of adventurers nearby. Many climbed onto rooftops to observe the battle.
"Isn’t that Helena?"
"Yeah, from the Water Dragon Knights. She’s a beauty, and a Water God-level Grand Sage!"
"That’s Matthew, the War God of the rchant Guild Alliance!"
"And Ulysses, the Sword Saint!"
"Did Helena summon that elental?"
"No, it’s fighting both Matthew and Ulysses."
"Why isn’t Helena casting magic? Could it be superior suppression?"
"Impossible! She’s a Water God-level Grand Sage!"
Battles between god-level powerhouses were a rare sight. The distant rooftops were now packed with adventurers, all chattering about the intense 3-on-1 fight.
"Who is that black-robed guy?"
"Never seen him before!"
anwhile, the battle raged on. The enormous dragon relentlessly pursued Ulysses, who darted from one rooftop to another like a flea. The dragon destroyed everything in its path, firing water cannons that sent buildings flying.
Every ti Matthew tried to approach Li ng, the dragon would abandon its chase and turn its wrath on him. Together, Ulysses and Matthew were completely kept at bay, unable to get close to Li ng.
