Chapter 318: rchant Guild Alliance
"Boss, soone's following us," said Amay, glancing behind her.
"It must be that group from earlier," replied Amayee, also looking back at the street.
Sure enough, the black-robed figure "Silver Mask" and his half-beast companions were staring their way.
Among the crowd, several water dragon sub-race individuals quickly hid.
"How ridiculous—they don't even know how to tail soone," Amayee giggled at the clumsy attempts of the water dragon people.
"Doesn't matter. Let them follow us," Li ng said casually. He knew that taking action would inevitably lead to trouble later, but he was prepared.
As they walked, Li ng continued his conversation with the light sli.
"Do you have companions?" he asked.
"Yes, many, many companions," the light sli answered.
"Where are they?"
"In a very beautiful place. It's our ho."
"Where is your ho?"
"In a very beautiful place."
"Do you know how to get back ho?"
"I don't know!"
"You can’t find your way back?"
"Those people took very far away. I can't find it anymore!"
Li ng could only feel regret about the light sli’s inability to recall the way ho. However, he understood. The maze-like pathways could confuse anyone. Rembering every turn was almost impossible.
This ant he had to rely on the Water Dragon Knights for information.
Half an hour later, Li ng and his group entered a mansion by the side of the street. It was a three-story building.
As they entered the front hall, they saw Bella, who was in the middle of a discussion with so mbers of the Brotherhood. When Bella noticed Li ng, she quickly wrapped up her conversation. The Brotherhood mbers nodded and dispersed.
"Boss, what is this?" Bella asked curiously, looking at the light sli in Li ng's arms.
"A problem—a big problem," replied Amay.
"One that the boss found for himself," Amayee added, nodding while munching on a skewer of grilled at.
"The boss stole sothing from the Water Dragon Knights—this light sli," they said, taking turns explaining to Bella what had happened earlier.
Bella's face turned pale, and she hesitated to speak. The Water Dragon Knights had ties to the Beastn Kingdom on the Central Continent. How could the boss provoke such a powerful group?
"Don't worry; I’ve got this," Li ng said, wrapping an arm around Bella's waist to comfort her.
"Now, let's take a good break—co sleep with ," he added with a grin.
Bella blushed, lowering her head in embarrassnt. There were still other people in the hall. Even though her relationship with the leader wasn’t a secret, she still felt shy at his blunt words.
"You girls go have fun," Li ng said to Amay and Amayee as he led Bella away, his arm still around her waist.
Watching the two leave, Amay pouted.
"The boss is such a pervert, but he’s never shown any interest in us."
"Yet he can’t resist a voluptuous woman," Amayee added. "As long as she ets his taste, he’ll take her."
---
"Boss, why did you steal the light sli from the Water Dragon Knights?" Bella asked while standing by the bed in a third-floor room.
Li ng, already lying naked on the bed, leaned back against the headboard.
"My goal in coming to the Maze City was to find the light sli. Now that I’ve found it, of course, I won’t let it go."
So the boss ca to the Maze City specifically for the light sli? Bella thought, removing her underwear. Her full, snowy-white chest was revealed as she undressed.
"Boss, this is the rchant Guild Alliance’s territory. They won’t let this slide," Bella warned.
"Of course, they won’t. If they don’t co looking for , I’ll go to them," Li ng said confidently.
His words surprised Bella. Provoking the Water Dragon Knights was already a big deal, yet he intended to confront the rchant Guild Alliance as well?
"Boss, why?" she asked in confusion.
"One light sli isn’t enough. I need more," he replied.
Bella imdiately understood. If the Water Dragon Knights captured one light sli, it ant they knew where to find more. Discovering the sli’s nest would lead to an abundance of them.
"Boss, the ones who’ll co after us won’t be the Water Dragon Knights but the rchant Guild Alliance," Bella said, her voice filled with concern.
"Why is that?" Li ng asked, admiring Bella’s beautiful curves as she climbed into bed.
"The rchant Guild Alliance won’t allow endless conflict between two hostile forces in Rogue Town. They aim to maintain stability here. Their negotiators will probably co soon," Bella explained, resting against Li ng’s chest.
"Negotiators, huh? So they’ll try diplomacy first, and if that fails, they’ll resort to force," Li ng mused.
As Bella nestled closer, she continued, "Boss, the rchant Guild Alliance is extrely powerful. It’s said they have five god-level experts. They control a council seat in Maze City, making them one of the most influential forces there."
Looking into Li ng’s eyes, she added, "Boss, you’re strong, but you’re only one person. The Brotherhood may have numbers, but it lacks high-level fighters. Even with several king-level professionals, it’s not enough to protect a faction."
"A single person’s strength has its limits. If soone decides to target the Brotherhood, the only way to ensure its survival is for you to stay with us forever."
Li ng understood Bella’s concerns. She wanted him to avoid making too many enemies.
However, Li ng had his own ideas. He knew he wouldn’t stay with the Brotherhood indefinitely. Once he obtained the light sli, he planned to leave the Saint Biron Continent.
But he didn’t want the Brotherhood to collapse after his departure. To ensure its survival, he needed to make a bold statent. He had to beco a figure that everyone feared—soone no one dared to cross.
By showcasing his power, he would make people think twice before targeting the Brotherhood.
