Chapter 312: The Screaming Rabbit King and Hypnosis

Li ng and Bella slipped into their tent.

The tent was small, just big enough for two people.

In the wilderness, such a tent could be dangerous for a lone adventurer. The occupant couldn’t observe their surroundings, and the cramped space made it difficult to defend against external attacks.

However, in a group setting, this kind of tent had its advantages. Its enclosed design offered a sense of security, helping adventurers rest better. With companions around, there was no need to worry about enemies sneaking up unnoticed.

Inside the tent, the two lay side by side, close enough for their bodies to touch.

Although Bella was a Sword King, she didn’t have the habit of wearing heavy armor. Instead, she wore a tight-fitting leather outfit.

Li ng’s hand wandered mischievously over her waist, causing Bella’s face to flush. She playfully tapped his chest.

“Boss, if I take off my leather armor now, it’ll be too much trouble to put it back on later. Let’s... let’s wait a few days, okay?”

Li ng leaned closer and whispered sothing in her ear. Bella glanced at him shyly, hesitating for a mont before finally nodding.

She turned her back to him, pressing herself into his embrace. Her hand reached down, tugging at her pants, pulling them over her rounded hips.

Monts later, the sound of Bella’s suppressed, rapid breathing filled the tent.

Bella was painfully aware of the tent’s poor soundproofing. Her face flushed as she clamped her hand tightly over her mouth to stifle any noise.

Li ng’s chest was warm against her back, radiating heat. For reasons she couldn’t explain, her body always beca unusually sensitive during these monts. The strong, possessive grip of his hand on her waist sent her spiraling deeper into pleasure.

Ti passed, and the camp grew quiet.

“Help ! Soone, please help ! I’m not a Screaming Rabbit!”

The silence outside was interrupted by cries for help from the mist.

The calls went ignored by the Brotherhood mbers on watch. They exchanged amused glances, shrugging off the noise.

“It’s just the Screaming Rabbits again. Sa lines as always. Only an idiot would fall for that.”

“I’m trapped! Soone, anyone, please save !”

But as the cries continued, the two guards began to sense sothing was off.

The voice no longer repeated the sa phrases but sounded more genuine.

“Could soone really be trapped out there?”

“It’s probably just the Screaming Rabbits,” one replied hesitantly. “But what if it isn’t?”

“Boz, that’s exactly what gets people caught,” his companion, Buck, retorted.

Boz fell silent, reluctantly agreeing. Most adventurers who fell for the Screaming Rabbits’ tricks had likely thought the sa.

Taking a deep breath, Boz tried to shake off his doubts.

“I’m Pavina! Is anyone there? I’m trapped! Please, help !”

The voice grew more desperate and emotional, filled with urgency and hope.

Boz and Buck exchanged uneasy glances. Could this really not be a Screaming Rabbit?

“Buck, what if soone really is trapped?”

Buck hesitated, doubt flickering in his eyes. The Screaming Rabbits usually imitated human cries, but their voices lacked emotion. This one, however, was brimming with feeling.

“I... I’ll go check it out!”

“No, wait! Who knows what’s out there—”

Before Boz could finish, Buck was already heading into the mist.

“Buck! What are you doing?” Boz hurried after him, grabbing his sleeve.

Though Boz also suspected there might be soone in trouble, he believed they should proceed cautiously.

“Let’s notify the squad leader first—Buck?”

Even as Boz held him back, Buck continued walking chanically forward, his movents unnaturally stiff.

Sothing wasn’t right.

Boz quickly moved in front of Buck, only to see his companion’s vacant expression, drool trickling from the corner of his mouth, and a foolish grin plastered across his face.

“Prepare for battle! It’s the Screaming Rabbit King!” Boz shouted, throwing his arms around Buck to stop him from advancing further.

Only the Screaming Rabbit King’s voice had hypnotic properties. Boz had studied its abilities before and imdiately understood that Buck had been srized.

He carried Buck back to the camp and raised the alarm.

---

Chaos erupted in the camp as Brotherhood mbers woke up and scrambled out of their tents.

“Boz! Buck! What’s going on?” a burly man shouted as he approached them.

“Buck’s been hypnotized! Captain, help !” Boz yelled back.

The man’s expression darkened as he hurried over and smacked Buck hard on the back of the head. Buck’s eyes rolled back, and he collapsed limply.

By now, more Brotherhood mbers had gathered around.

“Damn it, we’ve run into the Screaming Rabbit King!”

“What do we do now? Should we charge in?”

“No way. If we get separated, we’re done for.”

The group debated nervously, glancing into the mist.

“Help ! Is anyone there?” The voice echoed again, laced with an unsettling allure that made everyone uneasy.

Several team mbers’ eyes glazed over, their movents becoming stiff as they began walking toward the mist.

“Snap them out of it!”

Experienced adventurers quickly intervened, slapping the srized mbers across the face.

Those who were snapped out of it looked around in confusion.

“What... what just happened?”

“You were hypnotized by the Screaming Rabbit King’s voice.”

“What? No way…”

---

Inside one of the tents, Bella stirred in Li ng’s arms, her eyes fluttering open.

“Boss, what’s going on outside?” she asked, her voice groggy.

Li ng inhaled deeply, his face buried in her neck.

“Sounds like the Screaming Rabbit King has shown up.”

“What?” Bella’s face paled as she sat up abruptly—only to freeze as her cheeks turned crimson. She’d forgotten that she and the boss were still... connected.

“Boss, we... we need to go out,” Bella stamred.

“Alright.” Li ng responded casually but made no move to get up.

It wasn’t until a while later that the two finally erged from the tent, one after the other.

---

“Boss, sothing fun happening?” Amay’s voice called out as Li ng stood up.

Nearby, the heads of three young girls popped out of their tents, their faces full of curiosity as they gazed toward the commotion.

“Go back to sleep. It’s nothing serious.”

Amay yawned. “Alright, then. Goodnight, Boss!”

Without another word, she crawled back into her tent. Whatever was happening could wait—right now, she just wanted to sleep.
