Chapter 297: Half an Hour is Enough

Ti slowly passed as the night deepened.

No matter how long the night, dawn always ca eventually, heralding a new day.

“It's you!”

Early in the morning, the tavern resounded with Amay’s angry voice.

In the main hall, Amay glared furiously at Monica, who was hiding behind Sophia.

“Amay, don’t be angry. Monica was brought here by your boss,” Sophia said with a faint smile.

Her words left the three girls stunned.

They all turned their eyes to their boss.

Only then did they recall that their boss had indeed left the tavern for a while the previous night.

After all, his room was right next to theirs.

They had overheard him sneaking off with the tavern owner during their "little escapade," and even saw him jump out of the window.

“Amay, from now on, get along well with her, understood?”

Amay glanced at her boss and then at Monica.

With a pout, she sat down at the dining table.

Sophia smiled softly, patting Monica on the shoulder.

Monica timidly sat down at the table, still visibly uneasy.

Sophia, pushing a food cart, served breakfast to the three little girls.

“Master, what would you like to eat?”

Li ng glanced toward the kitchen.

He had no intention of changing his plans for the near future.

Last night had been a bit rushed, and there was no guarantee Sophia had conceived.

“Let’s check the kitchen.”

Sophia assud he was dissatisfied with the food at the table.

Without thinking much of it, she pushed the cart toward the kitchen.

Little did she know, what Li ng wanted to "eat" was her.

As soon as the kitchen door closed, Li ng wrapped his arms around Sophia’s soft body from behind.

Feeling the warmth of his embrace, Sophia’s face turned crimson.

“Master, no... this isn’t right…”

“Hans went to buy fruits. Half an hour is all we need,” Li ng murmured into her ear, leaving her weak-kneed.

Unable to resist, Sophia leaned against the door.

Soon, the kitchen was filled with sounds that would make anyone blush.

The three girls at the table had incredibly sharp hearing.

Almost simultaneously, they all turned their attention toward the kitchen.

“The boss really is a monster. He’d probably be very popular with won back in the tribe,” Amay remarked, her face reddening slightly.

She lowered her head and took a bite of golden bread.

“The boss doesn’t seem to like females like us,” Amay mumbled, her voice muffled and unclear.

Amay shook her head in response.

“The boss just doesn’t like petite females. He can’t resist well-endowed ones with ample hips,” Amay said, glancing down at herself.

She lifted her head proudly.

“It doesn’t matter. I’ll grow up soday.”

“Amay, are you saying you want to… with the boss?” Amay asked curiously.

Amay nodded, then shook her head.

“If the boss wanted to, I wouldn’t refuse.”

After all, how could she?

Her mother had always told her that the way to deepen a bond with a male you admired was through intimacy.

Even if they couldn’t beco mates, such a relationship would ensure the male would always support her when it mattered.

“I… I probably wouldn’t refuse either,” Amay murmured, her cheeks flushing.

The boss might be a bit frightening with his man-eating ways, but thinking back on last night, he had been so commanding and impressive.

There was no doubt in her mind that the boss was a true powerhouse.

A warrior who also excelled in magic—a rarity.

Despite his strength, he lacked the oppressive aura that most strong individuals exuded in daily life, only revealing it in combat.

Though he hid his true face behind that strange outfit, it didn’t matter to her.

She was used to it now.

If he wore normal clothing, it might even feel strange.

What are they even talking about?

Monica kept her head down, quietly eating her breakfast, her face flushed.

“Monica, did the boss co to find you last night?” Amay suddenly asked.

Monica looked up briefly at Amay, then nodded.

“Where were you? Where did he find you?”

“At… at the Brotherhood Thieves’ Guild’s stronghold.”

The Brotherhood Thieves’ Guild?

Hearing this, the three girls’ eyes lit up.

“Did the boss pick a fight with the Brotherhood Thieves’ Guild?”

Although they didn’t know much about the guild, they figured it must be so thieves’ organization in the labyrinth city.

“Yes… Master saved . He stord the stronghold last night and killed everyone there.”

The boss wiped out the Brotherhood Thieves’ Guild?

The three girls exchanged astonished glances.

The boss was too amazing.

He had left for just a few hours, yet in that short ti, he had annihilated an entire thieves’ guild.

“Monica, was the Brotherhood Thieves’ Guild strong?”

Monica nodded.

“Very… very strong. They had many Saint-ranked and King-ranked powerhouses, but now… they’re probably all dead.”

Although she hadn’t seen the high-ranking mbers’ bodies when leaving the stronghold, the blood on the upper platform of the hall made it clear they had all been killed.

“The boss is incredible! Tell us more details, Monica, please!”

Faced with the eager stares of the three girls, Monica shrank back slightly.

She had no choice but to recount everything she knew about last night.

The three girls listened intently, occasionally letting out exclamations of amazent.

“Doesn’t the boss seem a bit bloodthirsty?” Amay asked, her face pale as she imagined the terrifying scenes Monica had described.

“So what? Enemies should be killed without rcy,” Amay said nonchalantly.

Her father had always told her to show no rcy to enemies, as it would only endanger those she cared about.

Amay glanced at Amay and Amay but didn’t voice her thoughts.

While she also found the boss’s thods harsh, he was on their side, and the Brotherhood Thieves’ Guild was just a bunch of outsiders.

To her, the death of strangers was just a number.

The boss was still her boss, the one she admired.

“Monica, if you’re a princess, then the boss is your prince who saved you. Without him, you’d have been tortured by those perverts,” Amay said.

Monica froze at her words.

Indeed, her master was her hero.

Without him, what would her fate have been?

Her cheeks flushed as she thought about it.

But she wasn’t a princess, just an ordinary water dragon demi-human.

Ti passed, and half an hour later, Li ng finally erged from the kitchen.

“Are you all full?”

He returned to the dining table where the four girls sat.

Amay pouted slightly.

“Boss, we’ve been done for a while. We’ve just been waiting for you.”
