Chapter 281: Followers and Gifts

"Is the injury severe?"

"It's no longer a major issue. In about half a month, it should be fully healed."

Li ng felt relieved.

The self-healing abilities of magical beasts were quite strong.

As long as the injury wasn’t fatal, recovery was only a matter of ti.

Li ng didn’t ask much about the situation on the side of the Throne Tribe.

With Margarita holding the fort, there wouldn’t be any problems.

As for the goblin followers, there wasn’t much to inquire about.

Ever since he evolved into the Goblin King, in the eyes of goblins, he was akin to a deity.

Every command he gave would be carried out to perfection by the goblins.

Even if it cost their lives, they would not hesitate.

“Knock! Knock! Knock!”

At that mont, there was a sudden knock on the door.

Li ng turned slightly to look at the door being knocked upon.

“Co in. It’s not locked!”

With a “bang,” the door was pushed open.

Amay and her two companions rushed into the room, competing to be the first.

The three of them slid on their knees, bowing down on the floor.

"Silver Mask, please be our master!"

Amay loudly declared while pressing her forehead to the ground.

Looking at the three little ones kneeling, Li ng had an odd expression on his face.

Be their master?

Li ng didn’t think he had anything to teach these three.

After all, his abilities stemd from devouring, much like magical beasts that are born with their skills.

As for the underlying principles—who could say?

He didn’t know swordsmanship either.

And brute-force combat techniques? Those were divine skills, not sothing he could teach.

Besides, Li ng wasn’t interested in taking in disciples.

“It’s not suitable; I can’t teach you anything!”

Without hesitation, Li ng imdiately refused.

“It’s suitable! Father said, if you et a strong person you admire, cling to them tightly!”

Amay wasn’t about to give up so easily.

"That’s right! We can do anything!"

Amay added enthusiastically.

“Even... even warming your bed is fine!”

“Yes, warming your bed too... Eh?”

Amay and Amayee stared at Ay in astonishnt.

But they quickly caught on.

“Yes, warming your bed works too!”

The three of them straightened up, staring intently at the Silver Mask sitting on the windowsill.

Li ng glanced over the three little ones.

Though they were furry and likely felt nice to touch, their small fras clearly weren’t built for much.

“I’m not interested in your little fras. Besides, I have no intention of taking disciples.”

Hearing this, the three looked at each other in disappointnt, then sat dejectedly on their knees.

Amay lowered her head to glance at her nearly flat chest.

“Well… we’ll grow bigger eventually.”

Amayee and Ay quickly nodded in agreent.

Grow bigger?

Li ng’s gaze swept across the three again.

Though their current forms were small, they had good foundations.

Perhaps when they grew up, they might beco the kind he liked—curvaceous and well-rounded.

“Forget about being disciples. But becoming my followers... I might consider that.”

Followers?

The three little ones huddled together, whispering.

Although they felt regretful about not being able to beco disciples, being the followers of a divine-level powerhouse didn’t sound too bad either.

After so discussion, they seed to reach a conclusion.

The three girls bowed to Li ng in unison.

“Boss!”

They called out in unison.

Li ng grinned, acknowledging them as his followers.

With these three around, his journey on the Saint Bylin Continent shouldn’t be dull.

“Get up. It’s still early. Let’s keep playing Taka cards!”

“Sure, sure!”

The three girls jumped up happily.

Like playful kittens or puppies, they climbed onto the bed.

Not until sunset did the three reluctantly leave their boss’s room.

Due to limited space on the airship, there was no dining hall.

als were delivered to individual rooms by the crew at alti.

“Boss, we’ll co play with you again tomorrow!”

Amay shut the door, and the three happily returned to their rooms.

“Knock! Knock! Knock!”

Not long after the three left, there was another knock at the door.

Sitting by the bed, Li ng stood up.

At this hour, it was likely the crew delivering dinner.

“Click!”

Li ng opened the door, but to his surprise, it wasn’t an ordinary crew mber.

No, it was indeed a crew mber, but not an ordinary one.

“May I co in, sir?”

Standing at the door was Helen, dressed in a purple nightgown.

Her loose attire hinted at her curvaceous figure beneath.

She held a plate of sumptuous food and wore a gentle smile.

Li ng recognized her. She was Helen, the captain’s daughter.

He stepped aside, allowing her to enter.

Helen smiled faintly and walked in, carefully carrying the tray to the bedside.

She gently placed the tray on the bed.

“Had it not been for you today, this airship might have sunk into the sea. This is a small token of our appreciation. Though modest, it’s the best we can offer.”

After speaking, Helen’s face turned slightly red as she slipped off her gown.

The loose garnt fell to the floor, revealing she wore nothing underneath.

“What is the aning of this, madam?”

The captain, though aged, was a king-level mage.

Helen, around 35 years old, was a swordmaster.

Her husband, Payne, was also a swordmaster.

The three were a family—this was no secret.

But tonight, Helen presented herself as a gift in his room.

Helen smiled softly, approaching Li ng.

Taking his right hand in hers, she gently placed it between her palms.

“You must be curious why a family of king-level professionals runs an airship business.”

Helen’s words piqued Li ng’s curiosity.

Indeed, as she said, he had wondered.

Helen’s eyes carried a hint of sorrow.

Her voice was soft, filled with lancholy.

“Over ten years ago, our family were adventurers on the Saint Bylin Continent, famous for exploring dungeons. But during one dungeon raid, we were accidentally transported to the 29th level. Though we all survived, my father and husband sustained severe injuries. They lived but were left with incurable aftereffects.

“My father’s mory was impaired. Though he still had imnse magical power, he forgot how to cast spells. Despite efforts to relearn magic, he couldn’t succeed.

“My husband Payne survived but suffered the sa. His combat aura beca uncontrollable, and he could no longer imbue it into his weapon. Worse... he lost the ability to have children.”

As she spoke, Helen’s voice grew softer.

Her face turned redder, and she lowered her head in embarrassnt.

Her final words made the situation clear to Li ng.

It seed Helen intended to use this opportunity to “borrow” his seed.

Li ng assessed Helen’s figure.

For a human woman, her appearance was comndable.

Her shapely body was well-proportioned, with curves in all the right places.

As a swordmaster, there was no excess fat, and her fair skin looked smooth and radiant.
