Cherish Turner couldn’t help but grip her phone tightly, feeling a little nervous.
“Um, I…”
“Not saying? Then I’ll find you myself. But if I do find you, you’ll be responsible for the consequences.”
“No no no, I’m at Evergrand!” Cherish wasn’t oblivious to William Griffith’s abilities. If he really ca looking for her on his own, he might humiliate her in front of others and make it impossible for her to save face!
William Griffith’s beautiful fingers gripped the steering wheel as he drove around the bustling city. Once he had locked onto his target, his lips finally curved into a smile.
“I’ll be there in ten minutes.”
With that, he hung up the phone.
Cherish carefully pulled the phone from her ear. Yet his words seed to linger in her heart, refusing to dissipate.
Cherish glanced at Daniel Peacock, then at the girl beside him, and suddenly laughed.
She walked over.
“Miss, since you like this cufflink, I won’t contend with you. After all, it’s hard to buy what one truly likes.”
She generously returned the cufflinks to the girl, her gaze no longer lingering on Daniel Peacock beside her.
So feelings, ones she thought she would cherish for a lifeti, could actually be let go with such ease and clarity when their ti was up.
For this, Cherish truly admired herself.
“Thank you. May I ask what your na is? Let’s be friends.”
“Actually, I’m a friend of Mr. Peacock here, but he doesn’t seem to rember .” Cherish laughed, looking at Daniel. At this mont, Daniel felt even more guilty.
“Cherish… I…”
“So you do rember , that’s good.” Cherish smiled, her tone free of resentnt, as if they had never been in love before.
“I thought I recognized the wrong person just now, but it seems I didn’t. Daniel, why didn’t you introduce your fiancée?”
At this point, the girl turned towards Daniel Peacock: “So you two know each other! Daniel, why didn’t you say so?” Laughing, she looped her arm through the man’s and confidently introduced herself: “Hello, Cherish. My na is Abigail Johnson. It’s nice to et you.”
Cherish shook hands with her, smiling, her eyes warming up. Elijah Butler sighed at her side, thinking how self-torturing Cherish Turner could be when she wanted to!
After a brief exchange, Abigail Johnson took a liking to Cherish and wanted to continue shopping with her.
When Daniel Peacock initially saw Cherish, he was genuinely afraid she would reveal everything between them to Abigail. Fortunately, she didn’t.
“Cherish, are you picking out a gift for your boyfriend? I noticed you’ve been shopping in the n’s section. If you need help picking sothing out, I’d be happy to help as a way of thanking you for your generosity!”
“No need, I can help Cherish pick. As for you, Miss Johnson, you should stick with your fiancé. We’re pressed for ti and need to get going!”
Second Butler could no longer stand to watch. Was this woman truly na??ve or just playing dumb? He didn’t believe she actually considered Cherish a friend. Couldn’t she see that sothing was off between Cherish and Daniel Peacock?
Who was she trying to fool?
At that mont, a tall and straight figure suddenly appeared at the mall elevator. Stepping out of the elevator, he walked step by step towards Cherish Turner!
For a minute, the entire scene seed to be shrouded in brilliance as if a dazzling god had descended, making it hard for everyone to look away!
As William walked step by step towards Cherish, everything around them seed to lose color, with only each other remaining in their eyes.
