Chapter 652: Chapter 613: It Turns Out That Year_3

Teacher Jervis was about to retire soon. She was an old teacher at the school and had taught a lot of students. She looked at the visitors and couldn’t recognize them imdiately. It was only after Cherish Turner reminded her a few tis that she suddenly realized, “You are Cherish Turner? Yes, you are Cherish Turner!”

As Teacher Jervis smiled at the handso man behind Cherish, she was about to introduce him when William Griffith interrupted with a shocking revelation. “Teacher Jervis, hello, I am William Griffith, who once ca to your school as a representative student of Haicheng Middle School.”

With the sa astonished eyes of Cherish Turner and Teacher Jervis, William Griffith calmly said, “I was in the third grade of Haicheng Middle School and ca to your school as a representative student. I studied at this school for a week. I rember I attended classes in the second room to the left on the fourth floor of Building No. 3, and I was sitting in the last row. Teacher Jervis even gave

a history and culture class because the culture teacher was sick and had taken leave that day.”

Teacher Jervis was the main teacher of Chinese, and history and culture classes were elective courses. Sotis, when the school’s teachers were sick or on leave, she would be arranged to substitute if available, which was very common. However, it was such a distant mory, and she had substituted so many tis that her impression was not deep enough.

“Wait a mont, let

find a photo. Once I find the photo, I’ll rember it.” Teacher Jervis was sowhat puzzled and smiled as she walked to the cabinet. She flipped through a stack of dusty files, muttering, “You were a representative student of Haicheng Middle School, so there must be a photo. Which cohort were you in?”

William Griffith imdiately reported his cohort, and Teacher Jervis acknowledged before searching according to the folder’s code.

anwhile, Cherish Turner stood dumbfounded nearby, completely frozen.

She rembered now, the embarrassing and shaful scene, sothing she had completely forgotten.

She rembered it was November of that year.

The campus was full of blooming osmanthus flowers in November, and the air was filled with a strong fragrance that was refreshing.

“Cherish, have you got the book?”

“I got it, and you?”

“I got it too. Shall we go back to the classroom?”

“Okay.”

As an outstanding student, Cherish Turner was among several dozens of high-performing students who were promoted to junior high school preparatory classes in advance.

As soon as she entered junior high school from primary school, she beca a class leader. She was responsible for collecting newspapers and books for her class and would go to the dean’s office to get them.

“Cherish, why is your nose all red?” A curious classmate asked.

“It’s nothing.” Cherish Turner shook her head, holding several thick books, very embarrassed.

She couldn’t bring herself to say that her nose was red and swollen because a badminton racket had hit her in the face while watching her neighbor’s brother play badminton on Saturday. At the ti, her nose had been bleeding incessantly, but she hadn’t noticed until her friends told her. Mother Turner was very frightened, warning her never to stand so close to other people playing badminton again.

Cherish Turner and her classmates walked back from the dean’s office to the classroom building, parting ways at the staircase corner. She carried the books back to the class and placed them carefully on the cabinet.

“Cherish Turner, Teacher Jervis wants you to go to her office!” A classmate shouted.

“I know.” After putting the books in order, Cherish dashed downstairs to Teacher Jervis’ office.

Teacher Jervis was their new horoom teacher. Unless sothing unexpected happened, she would teach them for the next three years of junior high school until they were promoted to the high school departnt. Cherish Turner was selected for the preparatory class with the third-best score in her grade, and Teacher Jervis valued her highly. Knowing that Cherish had lost her father and was introverted, Teacher Jervis made her a class leader, hoping that she would get along well with her classmates and integrate better into the class.

However, over the past three months, Teacher Jervis had found that although the young girl didn’t talk much and wasn’t as lively as girls her age, her quiet deanor always seed exceptionally reassuring. Cherish Turner, as the class leader, had completed every task assigned to her diligently, getting along pleasantly with her classmates without any friction.

Teacher Jervis liked and believed in Cherish Turner, confident that she would achieve excellent results.

“Teacher Jervis.” Cherish Turner knocked on the door and called out from the entrance of the office.

“Co in.” Teacher Jervis beckoned her.

Cherish Turner obediently walked into the office, stopping in front of the desk.

“Cherish Turner, I called you here to tell you that the school has approved the outstanding student scholarship. Tomorrow morning, the principal will personally present you with the award.” Teacher Jervis said kindly, smiling as she shared the good news.
