Chapter 628: Chapter 601 Her Husband? _3

Daniel Peacock was pinching a corner of the docunt. He took sothing out of his pocket and locked it in a drawer.

As if he would never touch it again; it hadn’t been used in the past and certainly wouldn’t be used later.

The silver-gray color vanished at the bottom of his eyes as the drawer closed.

The board mbers agreed to dismiss the civil lawsuit, Cherish Turner finally relaxed.

She originally wanted to find Oscar Winston to ask about the situation. However, she found that ever since their farewell at the police station, Oscar seed to have disappeared without a trace. She didn’t have his contact information and didn’t know whether he had returned to New York. Just when she was feeling troubled, her cell phone rang.

It was an unfamiliar number. Cherish Turner picked it up suspiciously.

A fluent English speaker on the other end of the call humorously said, “Cherish, I have been invited to Haicheng to participate in dical research. You know, I don’t like to stay in hotels. Can I stay at your place for a few nights? Even sleeping on the sofa works!”

Cherish Turner thought about staying at the Griffith Family for a few days and that Erxii was out and probably wouldn’t return for a day or two. So, she told Liam to co to Griffith and get the keys from her after work.

After work, Cherish Turner and Yannis Griffith went downstairs together.

Haicheng had been overcast for several continuous days, and the rain finally arrived. This rain would beco increasingly intense and seed like it would continue for a long ti. The teorological station reported that the weather would be drizzly in the following days. The damp and cold air made their clothes feel slightly wet even before stepping out of the building, which was quite uncomfortable.

The mood seed to match the weather, with a light rain falling.

As soon as they stepped out of the revolving door, the slightly cold wind attacked, making people shiver.

“It’s so cold.” Cherish Turner murmured. Yannis Griffith imdiately hugged her, allowing her to lean on him for warmth.

Cherish Turner looked ahead and saw a figure standing in the dense drizzle. The umbrella was held slightly low, and his face was concealed, so she couldn’t see his features. But she recognized him imdiately from his figure. The tall man slowly approached them with a small suitcase in his hand. His leathers shoes stepped into a puddle, spraying water.

“William Griffith?” she exclaid in surprise.

William Griffith raised the umbrella higher. His handso face was expressionless as he looked at Cherish Turner and said in a deep voice, “From today, you will move back ho. This is your stuff.”

Cherish Turner looked down at the suitcase, reached out to take it, then looked up at him.

“Take a taxi by yourself, I won’t drop you.” William Griffith handed her the umbrella he was holding without any warmth in his tone.

Just then, another man’s English voice called up, “Cherish!”

Everyone present was good at English, so they all knew he was calling for Cherish Turner.

They all looked towards the noise, seeing another figure appearing in the rain holding an umbrella.

The man was a little shorter than William Griffith, about 1.85 ters tall, with an evenly proportioned body, looking quite elegant. He had a head of golden hair that was not pure in color like the sun but was a complicated gold. The most striking part was his pair of erald green eyes. Their color did not dim in this drizzling weather but beca more prominent instead.

William Griffith’s hand, holding the umbrella in mid-air, suddenly tightened its grip. The pressure was hard enough to reveal the veins on the back of his hand.

William Griffith would probably never forget this man, Liam, in his life. They had t in the UK once. Then they accidentally bumped into each other on a day while he was delivering books. But the previous two tis, they didn’t have direct contact, not even a word had been exchanged. But now, he finally t this man face to face.

Liam smiled recklessly, his gaze swept over several people and finally settled on William Griffith. While extending his hand towards him, he said in a friendly way, “Oh, are you Mr. William Griffith? I have seen your interview in a British finance magazine, it is quite an honor to et you in person!”

William Griffith stared at Liam coldly, ignoring his outstretched hand.

Cherish Turner did not expect things to turn out this way. William Griffith suddenly ca to bring her luggage, she suddenly didn’t need to stay at Griffith Family anymore, and now Liam appeared unexpectedly. She felt her mind was in chaos. Seeing William Griffith’s cold attitude, she just wanted to leave here with Liam as soon as possible.
