Chapter 60: Chapter 60: He was the First One that Ca to Mind

Cherish Turner knew she couldn’t afford to neglect the valuable feedback from her patrons, so she logged into her account in lightning speed to reply:

“Thank you so much for your generous tip! It must have cost you a fortune, I am extrely grateful! As for the image of the male protagonist, umm, I assure you that I will strive to improve upon that. Thank you again for your invaluable suggestions and encouragent!”

After replying, Cherish looked at her work again, it appeared that the male lead indeed lacked sothing!

While she had been updating her artwork till now, Cherish constantly felt overwheld. On one hand, the nurous drafts she needed to finish, and on the other, running her online store.

It was only the first ti when she t William Griffith and Benjamin Solomon that she was able to work quite smoothly. She was so engrossed that day, the designs of her characters were largely based off them, and to her surprise, it beca massively popular.

For her subsequent works, Cherish worked ticulously but unbeknownst to her, she started adding William’s features into her work, so much so, that she even failed to recognize it herself!

Yara King entered the room and saw Cherish hard at work.

“Hey, the Editor-in-Chief’s calling for you!”

Cherish looked up, pushing up her big black-frad glasses that she only wore while drawing.

“The Chief? What does she want from ?”

“How should I know? You would find out if you go and ask her, wouldn’t you?” Yara glanced at Cherish disdainfully and left.

Cherish quickly reached the Chief Editor’s office.

Unlike Editor-in-Chief Davis, Chief Editor Sally always seed distant, which left Cherish wondering what she had done to upset her. Nevertheless, their rapport was not the best to say the least.

There were rumors among her colleagues that Sally had long standing personal connections with Yara, which often resulted in her favoring Yara. Previously, when Cherish and Yara were both up for the sa position, most assud that Cherish would surely lose but, surprisingly, it was Cherish who was chosen over Yara.

“Cherish, put a pause on your current work.”

Without even looking at Cherish, Sally handed her a docunt from the comic society.

“Chief, what’s this?”

“The society plans for you and Yara to participate in this year’s manga competition held in Tokyo, Japan. It’s an international competition, and the society attaches great importance to it so prepare yourself.”

Cherish would never in her wildest dreams have predicted that the company would let an inexperienced rookie like her partake in such a massive competition. The prospect had her ecstatically disoriented.

“Don’t fill yourself with pride just yet, I know the Editor-in-chief is fond of you, but rember, comic creators rely on their skills to make a living. We will see if you have what it takes when you compete on the international stage!”

Sally tersely rambled on. She had heard rumors regarding Cherish’s recent popularity. True, a wealthy patron was backing the comic society, but whether there was a special connection between Cherish and the patron remained unclear.

Yara needed her help in the company, so naturally, she had to look out for her at all tis.

But the ergence of Cherish was frankly, annoying!

When Cherish returned to her office, she was jumping for joy!

The manga competition in Tokyo! Anyone qualified to participate would have the opportunity to gain so recognition in the manga industry. Participating itself was considered a stepping stone that helped comic artists to gradually climb up the ladder.

Cherish sat down and reached for her phone intending to call soone, but while browsing through her contacts, she realized she was inadvertently about to call her patron!

My God! What’s happening? Why is he the first person that cos to her mind on such joyous occasions?

Her heart began to beat erratically. Cherish found her behavior increasingly bizarre!
