Chapter 535: Chapter 534: Want to See Him

“Doesn’t the Griffith family have two siblings? It seems like the younger one is taking over the company now, right?”

“I think so. I heard that there was so problem with the older brother of the Griffith family, but the news has been tightly controlled, so I don’t know the specifics!”

Several people chattered at once, sparking a flurry of gossip.

While their colleagues were eagerly discussing, a figure suddenly stood up in the corner and walked into the manager’s office. Cherish Turner stood in front of the desk, her fists clenched lightly, and said solemnly, “I’m sorry, manager, but I have an urgent matter today and would like to take leave.”

She didn’t ask “Is it possible?” but spoke in such a decisive tone.

Seeing her serious expression, the manager nodded and said, “Go ahead. You have my permission.”

“Thank you, manager.” Cherish breathed a sigh of relief, imdiately turned around, and dashed out of the office. She quickly gathered her things, grabbed her bag, and strode away. The mont she rushed out of the office area, she heard a faint shout behind her, “Assistant Turner, where are you going?”

But she didn’t hear it at all, and she had no intention of paying attention.

Descending in the elevator, Cherish took out her cell phone and dialed his number in a hurry, but the phone was already turned off. Feeling a sense of cluelessness, she could only walk out of the company building in a daze. Under the blue sky and white clouds, Cherish stood alone on the roadside, looking at the busy street, feeling lost and helpless.

Where would she go to find him in such a large city as Haicheng?

She guessed that maybe she could ask Yannis Griffith about the situation and dialed his number. “Du-du –” the phone was waiting to connect, and she held it in her hand, staring down at the road.

The next second, the call was finally answered. Yannis’s voice was a mix of happiness and urgency, apparently not expecting Cherish to call him, “Cherish?”

“Senior Yannis, did I bother you?” Cherish said softly, holding the phone with both hands.

“Not really, just a little busy.” Yannis laughed over the phone. The sound of other n’s voices mixed in, and he gave them so instructions before asking, “Cherish, what do you need from ?”

Cherish knew Yannis must be very busy. The investnt departnt was busy enough, but with the Griffith company’s major reshuffle, it must be even busier. She didn’t want to bother him too much, so she asked, even though it was out of place, “Senior Yannis, do you know where President Griffith is?”

“My big brother?” Yannis exclaid in surprise, then suddenly fell silent. His voice beca more subdued, “I don’t know.”

“Where does he usually go?” Cherish persisted in asking.

“I… I’m not very sure.” Yannis’s voice sounded lonely and helpless, unable to hide his guilt, “My brother is usually a loner, and he doesn’t talk much. Did you see the news… I only know that he has a house at Deep Wave Mansion, but nothing else. I never asked.”

As he spoke, he seed to rember sothing and added, “But… he will definitely not go back to the Griffith family.”

“Why?” Cherish blurted out. The Griffith family? Shouldn’t that be his real ho?

“After the news conference, he left. I’m guessing he might have gone on vacation.” Yannis speculated before asking, “Cherish, do you have sothing for my brother?”

She purposely avoided sensitive topics and didn’t ask why Cherish was so anxious to inquire about William Griffith’s whereabouts.

“Well—” Cherish stamred for a mont, unable to co up with a reason, and said in a panic, “Actually, it’s nothing. Senior, you should get back to work. I won’t bother you anymore. Bye.”

Before Yannis could say anything else, Cherish hung up the phone, fearing his continued questioning.

She couldn’t answer, couldn’t explain her reason for looking for him, for wanting to see him.
