Yannis Griffith held the phone, and a busy tone rang piercingly at the other end. Right as this call ended, the landline rang again, “Young Master Griffith, a Mr. Wood from Kyoto City has arrived at the Griffith company.”
The Wood Clan was crucial to this crisis involving Young Master Griffith. Lincoln Wood nodded but looked at William Griffith, asking in a deep voice, “Young Master Griffith, what do you think we should do?”
Not wanting to disturb their conversation, Cherish quietly set down another cup of coffee and prepared to leave. However, just as she was about to turn around, William Griffith grabbed her hand, startling her. Lincoln Wood’s gaze flitted between the two, as if trying to guess the nature of their relationship. William Griffith curled his lips into a smile, shocking them with his words, “I’m very sorry, Mr. Wood, but I already have a girlfriend.”
With a bang, Cherish’s heart throbbed heavily – what had he just said?
Lincoln Wood’s face darkened as he saying, “So, you an to say you refuse?”
With no fluctuation in his indifferent, handso face, William Griffith gripped Cherish’s hand, replying, “I cannot marry Miss Wood.”
