Chapter 465: Chapter 466: Obviously, Thoughts Have Drifted Elsewhere
“I did, and we even went out for ice cream together. But then I got a nosebleed, so Auntie Cherish took
to the hospital. I guess I bled too much and had to get a blood transfusion. Look at how little you care about , but I’m so happy because now I have the sa blood as Auntie Cherish! Our relationship is much closer than yours!”
Lewis felt a sense of connection with Cherish Turner, as if they were intertwined with each other. This must be a much deeper relationship than the one with his dad!
Upon hearing Lewis’s words, William Griffith’s face darkened.
Cherish Turner must have found out about her and Lewis having the sa Rh blood group system.
Would she read too much into it?
She returned the ring to him, apparently thinking of sothing else.
–
They had just agreed to have dinner together, but in the next second, she said she had sothing to do, which made Chloe Turner worried. As soon as she stepped out of the office and closed the door, she saw a glimpse of his montarily lost and handso face.
Chloe Turner walked towards the hallway with a sense of confusion and waited there for the elevator.
The elevator slowly approached.
As Chloe looked up, she saw Grace Harper standing inside the elevator when the doors opened. Next to her was an assistant. Chloe couldn’t say anything to Grace Harper, so she just pretended not to be familiar with her and gave her a nod.
Grace Harper stood in the elevator with her gaze brushing past the floor numbers on the display. She looked calmly at Chloe Turner outside the elevator and asked, “Miss Turner, I wonder if you have so ti.”
“Huh?” Chloe was sowhat puzzled.
“I’d like to have a private talk with you.” Grace Harper’s smile was calm, exuding an air of authority.
When Chloe heard her say this, she beca even more confused. Under Grace’s gaze, she nodded in agreent.
“If you don’t mind, let’s talk in my office.” Once Chloe entered the elevator and stood beside her, Grace Harper spoke again.
When they entered the office, Grace played a strange song on her computer, a song that inevitably made Chloe’s imagination run wild.
“You must have heard this song before, Sister Chloe, ‘Why Do Won Have to Make Life Hard for Other Won?'” Grace looked up to her while tapping her cup, her voice so composed.
Chloe’s heart trembled slightly, her eyes flickering, but she maintained a smile, “If I have ti, I’ll give it a listen.”
Grace originally talked about the song in a detached manner. She put down her coffee cup and suddenly changed the subject, saying quietly, “Sister Chloe, Cherish Turner is a good girl. I know you might feel uncomfortable, but after interacting with her, I’ve realized that she’s genuinely kind-hearted and innocent. Besides, it’s clear that William Griffith likes her. I’ve seen how you’ve completely lost yourself these days. Perhaps it’s better to let go.”
Chloe was shocked speechless, unsure of what to say.
But how could Grace say such a thing? Has she forgotten about Bob Turner?
“All I want is William Griffith, nothing else. Grace, didn’t you promise to help ? How could you switch sides to Cherish now?”
However, from Grace’s point of view, she had been in the Griffith Family for so ti and had witnessed first-hand the love both n in the family had for Cherish Turner. After taking a closer look, she realized that Cherish truly had nothing bad to say. Even knowing her own identity, she never exposed Grace in front of the Griffith Family, apparently trying to protect her.
“I once thought about getting revenge on behalf of my brother, Bob Turner. But sotis, I really doubt it. Was Bob Turner actually killed by William Griffith back then? Or is there more to this story? Sister Chloe, you know this better than anyone. Can’t you tell
the truth?”
As the question was asked, Chloe Turner’s face suddenly turned pale.
