Chapter 456: Chapter 457: The Sa Blood Type

“I won’t go.” He was laughably domineering, like a child.

“Then go upstairs first, I’ll search for so anti-inflammatory drugs for you. Does it hurt a lot?”

Cherish Turner hurriedly embraced William Griffith, but she didn’t notice the slightly relieved frown on his face.

She had heard before that a toothache isn’t a serious illness, but when it hurts, it can be unbearable. Cherish had also experienced the pain of growing wisdom teeth, so she understood. William suddenly began to have a toothache, but he stubbornly refused to go to the hospital. Fortunately, it wasn’t severe enough to cause fever.

Cherish specially asked her colleagues for advice and made him so light als.

During this ti, Cherish talked to William about Lewis. She said that Lewis needed a blood transfusion, so she gave him her own blood. When she said this, William was visibly tense, looking deeply at her with clear eyes.

“It’s so strange, William. Lewis has the sa blood type as , and we both have the Rh blood group system!”

William only grunted in response and said nothing more.

Cherish tentatively asked, “My sister, Chloe Turner, also has the Rh blood group system, right?”

William simply grunted again and didn’t elaborate further.

These days, William spent significantly more ti with Cherish. But she was puzzled, shouldn’t he be visiting Chloe? During dinner, Cherish asked him if his tooth still hurt. William nodded, his mouth full of food, and continued eating quietly.

The television reported the news that sumr was approaching, and Haicheng had always been a place ravaged by typhoons. Consequently, the news urged citizens to be prepared for the oncoming typhoon. The light rain lasted for several days, and the weather, as expected, was much cooler and less suffocatingly hot than before. However, the power of the typhoon didn’t seem as fierce as anticipated. There were no accidents, and everything remained calm.

Suddenly, the cell phone rang with a sharp ringtone.

William answered the call, and Cherish watched him on the phone. She heard him say sternly, “What? I’m coming right now!”

“What happened?” Seeing his anxious expression, Cherish couldn’t help but ask.

William imdiately put down his chopsticks, grabbed his coat, and prepared to leave. While he was putting on his shoes, he briefly explained, “Chloe Turner was cooking alone at ho and started a kitchen fire. Cherish, I’ll be right back.”

“William, it’s raining outside…” Before she could say more, he had already slamd the door and left. Her words trailed off, her voice strained as she murmured, “Drive carefully.”

Chloe Turner’s apartnt kitchen was partially burned, nearly reaching the living room. When William arrived, the apartnt’s front door stood wide open, and the air was filled with a strong, pungent sll of smoke. Several security guards walked out of the apartnt, having put out the fire. Chloe stood in the hallway, coughing incessantly and looking distressed as she wiped her face with a towel.

“How are you?” William hurriedly approached her and asked in a deep voice.

“I’m fine.” Chloe shook her head gently, her face showing lingering fear from the scare.

Seeing the burns on her face, William imdiately took her to the hospital.

After being examined by a doctor at the hospital, it was fortunate that Chloe’s facial burns were not severe. With careful treatnt, her face would heal in ten days. The doctor’s words allowed William to breathe a sigh of relief. After getting the dication, they left the hospital and returned to the apartnt, where the rain began to fall heavily.

The housekeeper had already ventilated the apartnt, and the smoke was quickly dissipating. She was now cleaning. William helped Chloe into the apartnt and asked the housekeeper for a cup of hot tea. The housekeeper brought the tea, and William handed it to Chloe, asking, “How did you manage to set the kitchen on fire?”
