Chapter 434: Chapter 435: Whose Birthday Is It After All
The two walked hand in hand around the school, occasionally catching the eye of passing students. What a handso man he was, holding that girl’s hand tightly. They must be deeply in love, for there was an expression on their faces as if they had gained the sunlight of the whole world.
In fact, William Griffith had also been to University A in the past, and he knew every detail of the campus even better than Cherish Turner. He led Cherish around the school grounds and arrived at the school’s cafeteria.
Cherish followed his steps and walked in.
The cafeteria was empty, with only a few scattered students dining.
William Griffith led her in, and as soon as the head cook saw him, she imdiately ca over to greet him, “Mr. Griffith, you’re here; everything is ready.”
William nodded, and the head cook clapped her hands at once.
Almost at the sa ti, the cafeteria staff ca out in a crowd, and a man in the middle was holding an ice cream cake. Fresh out of the refrigerator, the ice cream cake emitted a hazy white smoke encountering warm air. Sweet white chocolate ice cream decorated with bright half-and-half strawberries made the cake look adorable.
A pink candle was lit on the cake.
Everyone sang Happy Birthday, “Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you!”
Cherish stood in the center of the cafeteria, smiling like a child, shy and bashful. However, it didn’t seem to be her birthday today; her birthday was in the sumr vacation.
Cherish herself didn’t know her real birthday was on this day, but William did.
As the cake was placed before them, William gently hugged her and, turning to the surprised and speechless Cherish, he whispered, “Make a wish and blow out the candle.”
“But William, it isn’t my birthday today.”
“Then pretend it’s mine.”
“Oh…”
But that didn’t seem right either. His birthday was at the end of the year, wasn’t it? That’s when Lewis bought him an inflatable doll!
However, by this ti, William was already looking forward to her making a wish, and it would be a sha to burst his bubble.
Cherish clasped her hands in prayer, contemplated her wish, and silently hoped for William’s safety and health, and for Lewis to be happy and joyful.
Blowing out the candle, she hoped wholeheartedly her wish would co true.
Turning to William, Cherish took the initiative to kiss him for the first ti. Her soft lips pressed against his face, gently withdrawing, and he smiled at her surprise.
So students in the cafeteria exclaid, “So it’s a birthday!”
“Look, look!”
“What?”
“Look at how romantic and sweet that guy is while celebrating his girlfriend’s birthday! What about you? I want a romantic celebration like this for my birthday this year!”
The girl standing beside the boy couldn’t help but express her envy, and the boy could only frown in response.
“I heard soone had a candlelight dinner in our school cafeteria!”
“Cafeteria candlelight dinner?”
“Yeah, it’s true! It’s for his girlfriend’s birthday!”
A group of girls approached, discussing in whispers.
It must be the first ti in University A’s history that soone celebrated their girlfriend’s birthday with a candlelight dinner in the cafeteria.
The sky was dark, and it was past eight o’clock. The night campus was even quieter than the dayti. In a corner of the school, there was a library. The library had fixed opening hours on normal days, and it was closed during vacations. But at that mont, two figures entered the library. The door was imdiately locked behind them, and nobody saw them go in.
