Chapter 405: Chapter 406: One Person Can Also
Cherish Turner took a deep breath and calmly said, “I don’t need you to drive
ho.”
“Cherish.” William Griffith called out next to her ear and sighed. “Can you stop making a scene, please?”
Was she making a scene? Cherish closed her eyes, slled his scent, and opened them again, not allowing herself to beco enthralled.
Her silence made William think she had relented. He patted her back, “Go sit properly.”
Cherish indeed propped herself up and moved to the passenger seat. As soon as she left him, she imdiately opened the car door and jumped out. Her series of movents were alarmingly fast, as if she had planned it all along. William, caught off guard, quickly got out of the car. His handso face turned cold, clearly running out of patience.
“Get in the car. I don’t want to say it a second ti!” His gaze swept over the car roof and colderly looked at her.
Cherish smiled at him. Her voice was soft but firm, “No need!”
“Suit yourself.” William stared at her for a mont before eventually hardened his gaze, darkly saying. His gaze hurriedly returned, bent down, and sat back in the car, no longer paying attention to her, stepping on the gas and leaving. The car lights flickered brightly, brushing against her body as they passed. The bright spots got farther and farther away, leaving her behind.
Cherish clenched the strap of her shoulder bag and turned around to walk the other way.
She could take public transportation by herself, call a taxi by herself, eat als alone, and even take walks by herself.
Everything could be done alone.
She was fine on her own.
But when she got ho, her mother asked why she ca back so late and what she had been doing. She told her mother that there was a company party in the evening. They chatted for a bit, and her mom, realizing that Cherish’s mood wasn’t great, didn’t say much more. Her mother told her to go to bed early and then returned to her room.
Cherish felt crazy as she downloaded the song “Are You My Happiness?” to her phone and listened to it over and over.

Every day, William would wait for her downstairs at the Cherry Blossom Garden, wanting to give her a ride to work. But when Cherish saw him, she would pretend not to see him. Sotis, when she went downstairs with her parents and saw the Maserati, she would intentionally walk around it. Although William felt annoyed, he knew that Cherish was jealous and didn’t argue with her. He needed to quickly take care of Benjamin’s issue; otherwise, his own romantic life would also have problems.

On the weekend, the weather was nice, and Cherish decided to go to the park to relax. When she reached the entrance, she saw her brother Sam returning ho and suddenly thought of Hailey.
There were things she didn’t know how to ask, but she couldn’t bear not asking.
“Sam, co here.”
“Sis, I need to go out. What do you need?”
Sam held several books in his hand and looked very busy. Sam had excellent grades and their family believed he would have a bright future. He hadn’t graduated yet, but several large companies had already sent him job offers with attractive conditions. However, Sam had not yet made up his mind.
“What’s the deal between you and Hailey? Don’t think I don’t know you two are dating. But if you’re dating, why aren’t you doing it properly? Haven’t you broken up? I’ve seen other guys around Hailey.”
Sam’s busy pace suddenly halted, and his face changed color. But within a second, he resud his unruffled expression.
“When did we ever date? Sis, don’t just guess blindly.”
With that, Sam left the house in a hurry without looking back.
Cherish looked in the direction Sam disappeared, sighed, and could only let out a breath.
