Chapter 264: Chapter 264: The Invasion of the New Stepmom
William Griffith listened and felt that it made sense. In any case, he felt that everything Cherish Turner said was right. He looked up, gave his son a stern look, and said seriously, “After school starts, you have to attend classes diligently. Besides, you must attend other arranged courses on ti. If you don’t pass your evaluations at the end of the term, it’ll be enough for you to be in trouble.”
“…” The ntion of this woke Miles Griffith up completely, leaving him without a single trace of sleepiness!
As expected, this really was the invasion of his new stepmother! Would his future be miserable?
Cherish glanced at Lewis, who looked like a frost-beaten eggplant, and found it amusing. She squatted down and talked to the youngster, “When Auntie was young, she was really good at school. However, because I had to take care of my brother, I couldn’t pursue my interests and develop myself further. Your Uncle Sam was also a very talented top student. I think boys like that are incredibly cool. So, Lewis, you have to work hard too. Auntie believes you can do it! You will definitely be better than all of us!”
Such encouragent was a new experience for Lewis. No one at ho had ever talked to him like this. Everyone in the Griffith Family, except for his father who was slightly stricter, pampered him like he was a fragile piece of glass they were afraid to break.
For the first ti, the little guy had the idea of giving his best effort which made him feel fulfilled.
Little Lewis had always been very smart and clever. Although he didn’t like studying, his intelligence wasn’t inferior to others. The most crucial part was that he knew all the things taught at school. William Griffith never actually neglected him. What Lewis learned was often more advanced than what ordinary children received in their education. However, as he didn’t regularly attend school, people had the impression that he lacked skills and knowledge, living a hedonistic life.
“Alright, I got it. You better take care of my dad first!” The little guy waved his hand, seemingly not caring on the outside but feeling very happy within, because finally, soone was nagging him like a mother would. It felt genuinely nice.
After Cherish changed her clothes, she grabbed breakfast made by William Griffith and put it into a paper bag, sneaking downstairs.
She pretended to go out for a workout, ca back with breakfast, and then pressed the elevator button to head up to the 8th floor.
Mother Turner felt as if sothing was wrong with her eyes. How could her daughter be outside when she hadn’t seen her all morning?
“Where did you go?”
“Mom, I went to bed early last night, right? I woke up early as a result. It’s been a long ti since I lived in Seaside city, so I went for a run and then bought so breakfast for you guys!” As she said this, Cherish put the breakfast she had scrounged from William Griffith’s place on the table. It was particularly hearty.
Mother Turner was dumbstruck. Since when did her daughter willingly wake up early and jog? The most important thing was she was so considerate that she actually bought breakfast for them. Before, she always let other people serve her.
Nevertheless, she had to admit that the breakfast was delicious. Both Mother Turner and Father Turner ate with joy.
Cherish watched the two elders being so happy, completely hoodwinked, and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
However, just as she sat down to rest for a while, Cherish’s phone rang at that mont.
Unexpectedly, the person calling her was Grace Harper. There was hardly any contact between them on ordinary days, so why would she call?
Filled with doubt, Cherish went to a quiet spot and picked up the phone.
