Chapter 141: Chapter 141: Childish Ghost

Suddenly being kissed, and it was Cherish initiating it, made William quite happy and slightly embarrassed. To hide his unusual expression, he coughed and said with an air of arrogance:

“It’s just a phone, what’s the big deal? Is it really worth being this happy about?”

“Of course it’s worth being happy about! A phone costs a few thousand, and that’s more than my monthly salary!” Cherish couldn’t compare to him, the big boss who could tire his hands from counting money. There’s no way he could understand the lives of the poor common folk like them.

“Does the comic studio not pay you much?” William suddenly asked.

“Well, not really. Among the newcors, I earn quite a lot. But, you shouldn’t waste money even if you have it!” This ti, while Sam was in the hospital, William paid for everything. Cherish thought that she needed to repay him that money.

“Oh by the way, I’ll give you Sam’s dical expenses after I get the bonus for the New Year, okay?”

“Did I ask you for it? Do you think I’m a bloodsucking capitalist who’d rush you to pay

back?”

William felt displeased when she ntioned repaying the money.

“That’s not what I an. Even if we’re close siblings, we need to keep accounts clear. And I don’t like owing money to others!” What Cherish ant was, she had her own capabilities, so why take his money for granted? She wanted to rely on herself for anything she could do.

“Am I considered ‘others’?”

Er, how did the conversation get so off track? She didn’t an it like that. She gratefully accepted the phone he gave her without saying anything. But Sam was her brother, it didn’t make sense for William to bear the burden.

“That’s not what I ant—”

However, William took out his phone and made a call.

Thomas answered the call and understood that the boss wanted him to send a list of Sam’s hospital expenses to Miss Turner, so she could pay it back.

Thomas felt stressed. What kind of disagreent were these two people having? Wasn’t Miss Turner’s money all taken out of her pocket and then stuffed back in by the boss in various ways? These two adults, one 22 and the other 30, had less emotional intelligence than a young master.

“Yes, boss, I got it. I’m on it.”

William hung up and looked coldly at Cherish: “Thomas will call you in a bit. Sam’s dical expenses are not much, just twenty-three thousand. Just give it to him.”

Cherish felt uncomfortable upon hearing this, as if she had swallowed a fly; she didn’t expect it to be so expensive!

Regardless of the high cost, she insisted on shouldering Sam’s dical expenses herself.

“Oh, I see.” Cherish thought about the large sum of money she had to give out after receiving the year-end bonus, and her heart ached.

William snorted and looked at the phone in Cherish’s hands: “When you go to Japan, take good care of your phone. If you dare to damage it or lose it, you’ll have to compensate. Don’t forget that I’m only lending it to you.”

Look at his tone, such a childish attitude!

Cherish glared at him, tightly clutching the phone in her hand, as if afraid William would snatch it: “I know! I will treasure this phone like my own life, alright?”

That’s more like it!

“I have work to do, so I’ll go upstairs first. You, drive carefully.” Cherish knew that the longer she looked at William, the more infatuated she would beco. So, she rushed to leave. William watched her without saying anything. Feeling embarrassed, she started jogging away. Halfway through, she suddenly rembered sothing and asked: “By the way, can I pay in installnts, William?”

The haughty man’s face darkened, and he stepped on the gas and sped off!

Cherish muttered, “Stingy!” She looked at the phone in her arms and bounced up the stairs in joy.
