"Link, keep it up!!"

The Huaxia athletes in the stands shouted loudly.

Link buried his head in the run, with less than 200 ters remaining in the race. The tape at the finish line had already been raised; he knew if he simply kept going, he might at best secure a bronze dal. But if he fought with all he had, there was still a chance for gold.

He took a deep breath, and a bloody taste surged through his throat.

During the breath transition, his steps shifted from the first lane to the second lane. Ahead, Queroi was preparing to change lanes for his sprint, but Link swept past him like a gust of wind.

Bekele, leading the pack, had already launched his sprint, pulling ahead of Link by more than two ters and with less than 100 ters to the finish line.

"Link, keep going!!"

The Huaxia fans at the sidelines nearly leapt into the air, shouting at the top of their lungs.

At this mont, Link didn't need anyone else cheering him on—he would sprint with all his might regardless. Thanks to his unique physique and relentless daily training, his stamina was exceptionally strong, and his endurance and resilience equally outstanding.

During his stint with the track and field team, he had also trained in 100-ter and 200-ter sprints.

As the finish line ca within 50 ters, Link disregarded everything. His arms swung back and forth at lightning speed, his fists almost blurring into afterimages, and the bloody taste in his mouth and nose grew stronger.

50 ters, 40 ters, 30 ters… With less than 20 ters remaining, he was within half a ter of Bekele.

"Link, keep it up!!"

Amid the deafening roar of the crowd, Link clenched his teeth, continued to swing his arms and legs forcefully, and propelled his body forward with an overwhelming montum toward the finish line.

With less than 10 ters to go, he was neck-and-neck with Bekele.

"Link, keep it up!!"

"Bekele, keep it up!!"

The intense battle shook the atmosphere, captivating over 30,000 spectators. The deafening cheers drowned everything else.

In this feverish scene, Link lost all feeling during the final three ters of his sprint. His legs weren't the only thing numbed—his nerves were dull too. He had no idea when he crossed the tape or who hit it first.

When he finally ca to his senses, the finish line was far behind him.

"Link, catch this!"

Soone in the stands handed a red flag to him.

Link reached out and caught it, then imdiately heard the announcent on the broadcast: he had claid the championship with a record-breaking ti of 12:56.32.

Second place went to Ethiopian runner Bekele, with a ti of 12:56.71.

Third place was Moroccan runner Queroi, clocking in at 12:56.94.

The ti difference between the three runners was less than a second.

Such an outco was precarious—had Link hesitated for even a mont, Queroi would have overtaken him, and there's no way he could have outrun Bekele for the 5000-ter gold.

Simultaneously, all three shattered the previous n's 5000m Olympic record, establishing a new one.

Upon hearing his championship announcent, Link proactively shook hands with Bekele and Queroi before draping himself in the national flag and walking half a lap around the track, waving to the crowd.

"He is incredible! How can a forr shot putter be this amazing? He's like an all-around Superman."

Tian Liang clapped his hands and exclaid.

"Let's call him Superman Link from now on."

Wang Hao laughed and clapped his hands.

"Superman Link!"

Zou Shiming shouted nearby.

Soon, many people joined in the chant.

Link waved to his teammates from the Huaxia team and, under the guidance of volunteers, stepped onto the stage for the award ceremony, claiming another gold dal. The Olympic Comprehensive Gymnasium was once again filled with the lody of the Huaxia national anthem.

Link's performance at this Olympics brought him a total of three golds and one silver, rivaling Li Ning's record. Li Ning won three golds, two silvers, and one bronze at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, famously taking three golds in a single day.

But Link achieved his titles across three different sports disciplines, filling the void of zero golds and zero dals for the Huaxia delegation in n's boxing, n's shot put, and n's 5000 ters.

He beca the first male Olympic champion in Huaxia athletics history and the first to win two golds in track and field events.

After the race, Link was sward by global dia. Huaxia reporters asked how he felt and what he wanted to say, while Western dia questioned how he managed to run so fast.

Link dealt with the flurry of questions briefly before returning to the stands to watch the n's 110-ter hurdle final. Huaxia's Liu Xiang went on to win that event with a ti of 12.91 seconds, breaking the Olympic record for the event.

After the competition, dia outlets worldwide published headlines marveling at today's streak of success for the Huaxia team. Two major upsets in n's athletics resulted in golds, making it a day of astonishing accomplishnts.

However, so outlets cast suspicion, speculating whether the Huaxia team employed "magical" drugs.

The accusations grew so loud that the Olympic Organizing Committee had to hold a press conference, stating that both Link and Liu underwent pre- and post-competition urine tests, and the results were completely normal.

Despite this, Arican dia continued their relentless demands, insisting on blood tests for Link.

The main reason for the U.S. dia outrage was that, following Link and Liu Xiang's consecutive victories, the Huaxia team climbed to 35 golds on the dal table, surpassing the Arican team to take the top spot on the gold dal leaderboard for the first ti in Olympic history.
