"This guy is really cool, I definitely want to et him if I get the chance!"

On the street, Xia Yu watched Link's departing figure and said.

"Is that his girlfriend next to him? They're both tall, a good match."

Yuan Quan comnted.

"Let's go, it's getting dark, we should be heading back too."

Zhou Xun withdrew her gaze and started walking towards the street with her hands in her pockets.

They had planned to sit at the Houhai Bar in the evening, but after hearing Link sing, Zhou Xun suddenly lost the interest in bar hopping and split ways with the others at the Shichahai Park parking lot.

After getting into the car, Zhou Xun turned on her phone recorder; a lodious voice flowed out – it was Link's "500 miles." The recording was a bit distant and had so noise, but thinking of Link's singing performance added a special flavor to the song.

After listening to it once, Zhou Xun thought for a mont, edited a multidia ssage and sent it to Zhang Yadong, a producer at Taihe Music and also an old friend, asking for his opinion on the song.

A little while later, Zhang Yadong texted back asking where she had recorded this song.

Zhou Xun asked how the singing was.

Zhang Yadong replied that the audio source wasn't very clear, but it was evident that the singer had solid vocal skills and a strong expressive ability. He asked her if she was dostic or abroad and whose concert she was attending.

Zhou Xun said she was at Shichahai Park, and the song was sung by an 18-year-old street singer from Huaxia.

Zhang Yadong expressed doubt, ntioning that the singer's voice was very steady, resembling a seasoned singer. He asked her if she knew who it was and if she got their contact information.

Zhou Xun ntioned the singer was nad Link, an athlete who had won the world boxing championship and the shot put champion at the college sports et.

Zhang Yadong asked her if she was mistaken, how could soone be both a singer and an athlete?

Zhou Xun affird there was no mistake and that he had been featured in newspapers; so inquiries should locate him. She also inford him that many people had recorded Link's singing today and so had even taken videos. If Taihe Music wanted to sign him, they should act fast or he would be taken by another music company.

Zhang Yadong replied that he understood and would discuss it with Song Ke.

Zhou Xun put away her phone and started the car, leaving the parking lot.

----

After dropping Zhang Zilin off at ho, Link took the subway back to the Sports University dorm to continue training in boxing and shot put. In his spare ti, he attended the driver's license tests, passing all three subjects smoothly, and expected to get his license by the end of the month, and also casually considered buying a car for commuting.

On Saturday afternoon, he made ti to visit director Wang Xiaoshuai at his ho, where he bumped into Gao Yuanyuan who was also visiting. Wang's girlfriend Liu Xuan seed to be trying to set them up.

Link pretended not to understand, and during the al, Wang ntioned the perks of being an actor – fa, high movie fees, glamour – and said that being a well-known athlete, Link had an advantage if he were to switch to acting.

Link just said he would consider it, but didn't actually intend to beco an actor.

In the United States, being an actor ant having status, position, and wealth – even the White House would seek their support, and there was the chance to even enter the White House.

In Huaxia, even top actors did not have much status, often being called 'players' – in comparison to famous athletes, their social standing was much lower, possibly even lower than singers. A successful singer could expand the influence of Chinese-language songs in the world music scene, bringing honor to the country.

Huaxia's actors and films were completely unable to achieve that.

As for being a singer, Link was not considering it for the ti being.

His present task was to beco a world-class athlete, to gain enough fa and exposure both dostically and internationally. With the prize money from competitions, he would already have a decent inco, and joining the professional boxing ring later on could earn him even more. Only then, singing and releasing an album wouldn't be too late.

"Link, the Athletics Center is not far from the Central Drama College, have you been there before?"

At the dining table, Wang asked.

"I've been there; just a couple of days ago I passed by the entrance of Central Drama College."

Link said, noting that Central Drama College was located in the Gong and Drum Alley district, not far from Shichahai Park, and he had visited it a few tis when passing by. Although it was smaller than Sports University, it was very famous.

"There are lots of beautiful girls at Central Drama College; you should visit more often when you have ti, hehe~"

"Hehe what?"

Before Wang could finish, Liu Xuan glared at him, "Link is clearly a decent person; don't influence him with those ssy things."

"No, no, I was just suggesting Link should go to Central Drama College to take so acting classes. Even though Link is an athlete, athletes also have a limited ti in their pri. After turning thirty, it's ti to consider retirent. Link has all the right conditions; getting into acting could be a good fallback plan," Wang Xiaoshuai hurriedly explained.

Across from them, Gao Yuanyuan smiled slightly, glanced at Link, and said, "Link, have you ever considered acting? I could recomnd a few roles for you."

"I'm not considering it for the mont; training keeps too busy and I don't have the ti. Let's talk about it after I retire."

Link took a sip of his cold beer.

"What Link is doing is correct. He's only 18; retirent is more than a decade away, no need to plan so early. Right now, Link is a key player in the National Team for both boxing and shot put. Focusing on training to aim for a dal in next year's Olympic Gas is the priority. With a dal, one could have great opportunities working in sports departnts or coaching at the national training center in the future," Liu Xuan paused and said, pointing at Wang Xiaoshuai and Gao Yuanyuan, "You people in the entertainnt industry, seeing a handso man or a pretty lady, always like to pull them into the water, as if acting is so easy."

Director Wang Xiaoshuai and Gao Yuanyuan laughed.

----

After dinner, as it was getting late, Link said his goodbyes; Gao Yuanyuan followed him out, asking where he was headed to see if she could give him a lift.

Link said not to bother, as the subway station wasn't far from there.
