With a budget of $30 million US dollars, there's no question that "The Vow" was a major hit, becoming Lionsgate's second film after "The Hunger Gas" this year to break $100 million in the North Arican box office.

It was also the seventh film after "Buried", "The Hunger Gas", "The Evil Invasion", "Crazy Black Lady's Witness Protection Program", "The Cabin in the Woods", and "Complete Pregnancy Guide" to surpass $50 million US dollars in North Arica.

In the year 2011, 30 films surpassed $100 million at the North Arican box office, and 72 films went over $50 million.

Considering the current box office performance, Lionsgate stands a good chance to surpass 20th Century Fox and Paramount Pictures and break into the top five in the industry.

Following back-to-back years of blockbuster successes, Lionsgate's growth montum is rising, attracting the stock market's attention. Multiple companies on Wall Street have already proposed financing deals, ready to invest based on a valuation of $1.6 billion.
