Chapter 823: Power of Primordial Chaos Chapter 823: Power of Primordial Chaos “Coin toss.”

“The New England Patriots have chosen to receive.”

Hmph.

Amidst the surging sound of sighs and exclamations throughout the stadium, Brady slightly lifted his chin, gazing at the young rookie with sweat-soaked hair standing before him.

“Looking forward to a great ga.” Brady displayed the poise of a legendary superstar, exuding confidence as he looked down at his challenger.

Hah.

Li Wei grinned lightly, flashing a set of neat, pearly white teeth. eting Brady’s gaze without inferiority or arrogance, he replied, “Hope you enjoy playing here.”

Declaring sovereignty—

This was Arrowhead Stadium, and the New England Patriots were guests here. Thus, the Kansas City Chiefs showed the grace of a host, allowing the guests to make the first move. Next, it would be the host’s turn to demonstrate their courage and determination.

Soft on the surface, sharp underneath—unwilling to yield.

Brady stared into Li Wei’s eyes, still clear and bright despite the sweat. With a cold snort, he chose not to engage further in verbal battles.

He turned and strode off.

From here on, actions would speak louder than words.

With one turn, Li Wei saw Houston standing at the front of the team, smiling broadly as he raised his right hand. He walked up, gripped Li Wei’s hand firmly, bumped shoulders, and pulled him into a hug.

“Thanks for giving us the chance to make things right. Trust , we’ll get it done this ti.”

“All this ti, it’s always been the offense playing the role of superheroes. Tonight, it’s finally our turn.”

Behind them, the defensive group players roared one after another, declaring their resolve.

Roar! Roar! Roar!

Everyone knew how critical possession was in overti. The team that held the ball first often gained the upper hand, significantly increasing its chances of victory.

Now, all the pressure fell squarely on the shoulders of the Kansas City Chiefs Defense. Even the slightest misstep would deny Mahos and Li Wei any opportunity to take the field, halting their march toward a title defense.

And yet, the Kansas City Chiefs Defense rallied.

They weren’t fighting just for victory but fighting shoulder to shoulder with their offensive teammates.

A smile blossod at the corner of Li Wei’s mouth as he heavily patted Houston’s shoulder. Then, looking at the rest of the defensive group, he said, “We’re counting on you.”

With that, Li Wei stepped off the field as Houston led the defensive group onto it.

This ti, however, Li Wei didn’t sit down. Instead, he stood on the sideline, quietly watching. Whether or not he got to play again no longer mattered. What mattered was that they would fight together until the very last mont of the ga.

Silently, a flurry of other players gathered around Li Wei—Mahos, Kelce, Hill, and more—standing shoulder to shoulder, cheering on the defense and joining the voice of Arrowhead Stadium.

“Clap, clap! Defense!”

“Clap, clap! Defense!”

The entire stadium, united as one!

Then, overti began, and the showdown comnced—

Deadlock.

As anticipated, from the very first second of overti, the ga was entirely deadlocked.

The Kansas City Chiefs Defense shrugged off their regular-season form and erupted with unimaginable energy. The defensive net tightened up at the front, relentlessly pressuring Brady with unceasing attacks.

Even Nantz couldn’t help but exclaim, “The Chiefs have entered playoff mode!”

None of the defensive players were an exception; one by one, they seed to lose themselves in the battle.

Among them, Houston remained the brightest star. After a lackluster and dull season, Houston finally found his form in the Arican League finals. Despite being completely drained, looking as though he could collapse at any mont, as soon as the play comnced, he turned into a different person—constantly disrupting the pocket, wreaking havoc.

anwhile, the New England Patriots were no less determined, holding on with the will to win.

Brady, who had been lackluster throughout the ga, finally awakened his superstar spirit. Precise short passes and acute secondary reads carved opportunities from fleeting gaps in the chaos of the fierce clash, repeatedly pulling the Patriots back from the brink.

Edelman continued to shine as the brightest star of the Patriots’ offensive group. Remarkably, though, running back Burkhead seed to have gained imnse confidence, hitting a godlike state. Alongside the scorching-hot Michel, the two running backs broke through the defense with power and tenacity, continuously delivering crucial yardage.

Without a doubt, both teams were in a frenzy.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ exceptional performance forced the Patriots into third-down situations five tis. Yet the Patriots astonishingly converted all five, teetering on the tightrope like acrobats above the abyss.

Back and forth they went, the intensity of the ga climbing ever higher—

Ten minutes.

A full ten minutes of grueling back-and-forth deadlock. The first fifteen-minute half of overti was nearing its end, yet the ga remained tightly locked.

The Kansas City Chiefs perford brilliantly but just couldn’t seem to find that final, decisive blow. On the other hand, the Patriots, though hanging by a thread, continuously demonstrated the resilience of a team that had dominated the league over the past two decades.

Bayonets t flesh, a brutal hand-to-hand struggle.

Then, the Patriots stumbled their way into the opposing half at the eighteen-yard line. In the face of desperation, they unleashed awe-inspiring strength, embodying the imnse willpower of the Belichick-Brady duo.

The next step would determine it all: touchdown or field goal. The Patriots were on the verge of seizing victory and claiming the pivotal edge in this climactic battle.

But the Kansas City Chiefs refused to yield—

Refused to surrender.

On first-and-ten, Fuller and Murray tead up to trap tight end Gronkowski. After a three-yard short pass, Gronkowski was mired and went no further. It was a rare sight; both Fuller and Murray had expended everything they had, gritting their teeth to barely hold Gronkowski down.

On second-and-seven, Jones and Houston blitzed, interpreting Brady’s fake handoff and pass attempt toward the end zone. Rushing in with precision, they mounted a siege. Burkhead broke Jones’ sack attempt, and just as Brady was about to escape, Houston dove headlong, tackling Brady as they both went down together.

Sack!

Third-and-twelve, Brady lost five yards.

Arrowhead Stadium erupted.

But the roar didn’t last long before turning into stunned silence—

Houston lay motionless on the ground. He had used up every ounce of energy for that sack and now couldn’t get back up.

Hearts clenched tightly.

Sacked, Brady jumped up in a fury, lashing out at his offensive line for failing to protect the pocket in such a crucial mont.

The offensive linen were at a loss for words. Houston was practically insane, unstoppable and relentless. Watching him pour everything into the ga and now lying still on the ground, so of them couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief:

That devil was just too terrifying.

The Kansas City Chiefs Team Doctor rushed onto the field imdiately.

On the sidelines, Reed watched the scene with visible worry. His usually composed and stoic face showed a rare furrowing of brows.

Houston was completely spent.

Fuller and Murray were barely holding themselves upright.

Jones’ cheeks were unnaturally flushed.

The situation was dire—critically dire. The defense was visibly drained inside and out, and there were no substitutes left on the Kansas City bench.

What now?

Turning to the right, Reed scrutinized carefully. His gaze landed on Berry, who stood on the sideline with clenched fists, cheering tirelessly for his defensive teammates. Reed paused his thoughts montarily. Now was not the ti for hesitation.

“Eric, Eric! Get ready to take the field!”
