"Snap, Chieftain."

"Snap, Chieftain."

Just by gently lifting his chin, Mahos could take in the boiling red sea of the entire stadium, a scene he had imagined over and over during training, in strategy etings, and in his dreams; yet the mont his feet truly touched the field, the reality was a hundred tis more beautiful and a thousand tis more thrilling than anything he had imagined.

His heart pounded like a drum.

Clearly, like everyone else, Mahos was surprised. In a life-or-death battle against a division rival, a crucial fight where the season hung in the balance, the team had to give it their all from every angle, and unless the quarterback was injured, the backup had no chance to play.

But then, it happened.

Mahos felt like he was stepping on cotton, extrely excited yet completely disoriented, which confused him.

"Sherlock..."

"Sherlock!"

A thunderous voice pulled Mahos out of his thoughts, and then he saw that familiar smiling face hidden behind the helt—

Li Wei.

Reed noticed Mahos’s bewildernt.

Originally, according to the plan, Reed was to have the second team replace the starting lineup, giving the starters a rest; it was a perfect ti for the team to prepare for the playoffs, where the impact of injuries and fitness would be more pronounced and bench depth would play a crucial role.

After all, Mahos usually trained with the second team.

But thinking it over, Reed decided to put Li Wei in to help Mahos transition.

After making this decision, Reed suddenly realized that Li Wei was playing an increasingly important role in the team; everything seed so natural.

The scene in front of him confird that Reed’s decision was correct.

Li Wei patted Mahos on the shoulder, looking relaxed and teen up, "So, ready to have so fun?"

Li Wei knew Mahos was ready, always preparing for his chance on the field, eager to showcase his talent and ability; all Li Wei needed to do was stand by his side—

Everything was just like training, and that was enough.

Indeed.

Seeing a familiar face, especially one from the main team, Mahos stabilized quickly and also showed a big smile, "Let’s have so fun together!"

Across the field.

Mark: Do you think I’m dead?

It turned out, even though Mark wasn’t dead, the Oakland Raiders’ Defensive group was indeed crushed and tornted repeatedly today, helpless even against the Kansas Chiefs’ second team offense.

First, there was Li Wei’s diversion, followed by Mahos’s unexpectedly running with the ball—

Yes, Mahos could run.

League: ??? When did this happen?

According to the scouting report from the draft, Mahos was a typical pocket quarterback, and his field vision was undoubtedly a major comndation; now, it seed Mahos had also developed a running ga?

The scouts declared that they weren’t going to take the bla for this surprise.

In their report, they had noted that Mahos would occasionally run with the ball, though it wasn’t frequent—less so in his sophomore year and even less in his junior year. He was still a quarterback who preferred passing; however, he did have the athletic ability and physical condition to run.

Who knew what kind of training Mahos had received after joining the Kansas City Chiefs?

Speaking of which, while Smith was a traditional pocket quarterback, Reed had indeed trained Michael Vick, the first running quarterback, while at the Philadelphia Eagles, so this coach’s knack for quarterback training was certainly out of the ordinary.

All in all, after changing the quarterback, the Kansas City Chiefs completely switched tactics, leaving the Oakland Raiders’ defensive group utterly confused, even Mark appeared exhausted and unable to keep up.

In the end.

The Kansas City Chiefs seldomly executed a shotgun strategy, with Mahos dodging Mark and Bowman twice in their determined tackles to complete his passes, demonstrating the strength of his cannon arm with a forty-seven yard long pass—

Such an offensive play was absolutely sothing Smith couldn’t have executed as the quarterback.

A rainbow pass that majestically crossed the entire half-field found... the unguarded Li Wei.

Li Wei effortlessly caught the football, turned around, and entered the end zone, unbelievably scoring another touchdown reception!

Whoosh!

Mahos raised his arms high, ecstatic, sprinting towards the end zone, and finally threw his arms around Li Wei in a tight embrace.

"Touchdown! Rookie, touchdown! I scored! Hahaha!"

Li Wei stuffed the football into Mahos’ embrace, "The first of countless future touchdowns to cherish. I told you you were ready."

Mahos took the football into his arms and started celebrating with other second-string teammates who arrived sprinting, neatly lining up to perform the Four Little Swans—

You can’t look.

Mahos was also pulled in, but by the ti they ca to their senses, the other touchdown hero, Li Wei, had quietly returned to the sideline, seamlessly sitting on the bench, laughing and chatting with other main players of the offense, as if enjoying a Christmas evening show.

Kelsey was laughing so hard he knelt down.

"Wow, another touchdown!"

"Moreover, this ti it was a forty-seven yard long pass for a touchdown, the Kansas City Chiefs have entered a show mode, pushing the Oakland Raiders into the abyss of despair."

"Li Wei, what is it that he can’t do?"

"Up to now, Li Wei has rushed for 133 yards, been targeted twice in passes, catching both successfully for 122 yards, with two rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns."

"Just over a quarter into the ga, and Li Wei could already clock out."

"After enduring six straight losses, the Kansas City Chiefs rebounded remarkably with rookie Li Wei once again proving his worth, an unmatched performance that completely shattered the Oakland Raiders’ defense."

"If Li Wei isn’t nad the Arican League’s Offensive Player of the Week this week, it would be hard to conclude."

Afterwards, Li Wei also clocked out, leaving the ground running duties to second running back Hunter and the third and fourth running backs; likewise, the defensive group completed a full rotation, fielding the second-string lineup.

The Oakland Raiders still did not give up—

For a very simple reason.

If they surrendered in the ga against the Kansas City Chiefs, they might not be able to return to Oakland.

Facing the Kansas City Chiefs’ second team, the Oakland Raiders finally showed a bit of toughness, relying on Lynch’s twenty-four yard run to score a touchdown, barely managing to break their drought by the fourth quarter.

However, the good tis didn’t last long.

In the garbage ti, Carl shockingly threw an interception, ruining a great situation for the Oakland Raiders; subsequently, the Raiders tried a gamble kick, finally succeeding but only earning a field goal.

The scene was sowhat codic.

The Oakland Raiders kept on struggling, making a lot of noise in the garbage ti, but compared to the stir created, the outco was particularly pitiful.

"10:44".

The ga ended, the Kansas City Chiefs effortlessly defeated the Oakland Raiders at ho, ending a long wait after six consecutive losses.
