Capítulo 1631: Chapter 1630: Slicing Through All Opposition
A wave had yet to subside when another wave struck—
This was the predicant Li Wei faced. Perhaps the Houston Texans’ defensive group had not seen through the Kansas City Chiefs’ deep enemy-enticing offensive strategy, but the belief of full concentration and united determination still allowed the defensive group to make the right choice amidst the rapidly changing circumstances, attempting to complete their task.
Justin Reid didn’t hesitate, not even blinking, decisively throwing himself at Li Wei like a moth flying into the fla, aiming to collide with him.
The movent was as smooth as flowing water, executed in one go, leaving Li Wei no ti to breathe or react. Although there were only two safeties, one must admit, with the high level of concentration entering the ga quickly from the start, Justin Reid did an excellent job.
And Li Wei?
As literally stated, there was no room to catch his breath. Just as he completed the straight arm block with his front foot, he already felt the force and airwave approaching with his back foot.
There was simply no ti to dodge—
Bam.
Justin Reid accurately struck Li Wei with great montum.
Li Wei had no chance, not even a bit, as his swaying center of gravity was uprooted. His feet left the ground, stumbling as he flew back.
Now, Li Wei could only barely drag his toes along the ground, but without traction, he could only barely use friction to slow down his body flying backward.
In the blink of an eye, his steps retreated from the forty-yard line to the thirty-five-yard line, and he still couldn’t stop, shaking as he continued to approach the thirty-yard line.
The real trouble was, Justin Reid was like sticky candy, completely giving up his center of gravity, using his body as a heavy weapon to push forward, pinning against Li Wei’s body, continuing to tumble and tussle with him, forcing Li Wei’s center of gravity to keep falling backward.
Crisis, an alarm goes off.
The encircling crowd behind him was swarming and closing in, and he could feel the rolling white storm sweeping in without needing to look back.
There was no ti to adjust, no ti to break free. Li Wei had to imdiately change the situation.
In the chaos and turbulence, Li Wei did not try to brake, but rather felt Justin Reid’s center of gravity.
Despite Justin Reid not controlling his body, the law of gravity was still pulling his body weight slightly to Li Wei’s left side.
Without hesitation, Li Wei leaned his upper body to the right, shifting positions, continuing to drill to the right with the inertial force amidst the turbulence and chaos.
His steps, lightly touching the ground, were not self-exertion but cleverly using inertia and centrifugal force, while moving backward, he adjusted.
In just two steps, Li Wei’s body had mostly separated from Justin Reid’s, even though Justin Reid tried to grab onto Li Wei with his hands, he was suspended in mid-air, unable to exert force. By the ti he realized the crisis, it was already too late.
Li Wei, following the montum, pushed forward, completely freeing his body from Justin Reid, feeling the ground beneath his steps again.
Lightly tap the ground once.
Li Wei completed a counterclockwise 180-degree turn, and he and Justin Reid were completely separated, his heels back on the ground.
One push.
The reactive force propelled his body forward, and Li Wei had reversed the passive predicant, charging straight ahead once again.
One step, two steps, three steps—
A silhouette pounced in, revealing the face-losing and shad Murray, biting his teeth tightly, recklessly mimicking Justin Reid by throwing his body as a weapon, not only trying to make ands but also attempting to turn the tide.
Everything happened so fast, neither Li Wei nor the Houston Texans’ defensive group had ti to think, relying entirely on instinct to engage in battle.
Murray could see what Li Wei couldn’t, behind Li Wei, the white storm was shedding the entanglent of red flas completely and gathering at full force, forming a circle. The ti and space Justin Reid bought allowed the Houston Texans to catch their breath. If only Murray would exert a bit more effort…
They could stop Li Wei.
“Hmm.”
Murray grunted, filled with sha and frustration, anger and discomfort, biting his teeth tightly, in the midst of a whirling world, he completely discarded all fear.
Inevitable!
Just as Murray was about to collide with Li Wei, Li Wei in his turmoil, with not even enough room for a run-up, pushed off the ground and leaped in a hurdle-like pose.
A leap.
Li Wei’s forward thrust was obviously insufficient, having only vertical bounce without horizontal propulsion.
But it didn’t matter, Murray’s forward rush was the best relative speed, causing Murray to slide out from under Li Wei’s crotch in a flash.
Ah!
In astonishnt and surprise, without ti to think, Li Wei’s body had already felt the pull of gravity again, beginning to fall.
Li Wei pushed slightly forward, toes touching the ground, right foot, left foot, a light tap, then right foot, left foot again, his body had already lunged forward.
With knees bending, unable to keep up, as he was about to fall once more, Li Wei barely managed, amidst the staggering ss, by propping his left hand against the ground, he pushed hard, finding balance in the chaos and turbulence, with his right hand tightly securing the football.
Then, continued to charge forward.
Forty-yard line, swaying past.
“…Oh. Jesus. Christ.”
“Unbelievable.”
“Advancing. Retreating. Advancing again.”
“Collision. Escape. Hurdling leap.”
“It’s like a circus act, dazzling with everything included. The Houston Texans nearly caught Li Wei, but fell short by just a little, the encirclent ultimately couldn’t close, as Li Wei unbelievably broke through from the front.”
“Li Wei! The Professor! The Beast!”
“His footwork! Wow, textbook-level control of footwork, his center of gravity and balance swaying, spinning, pulling amidst the stormy chaos yet still able to return to its starting point, in short spans of steps, the Professor regained his rhythm, with the Houston Texans’ defensive players chasing with all their might.”
“But the Beast!”
“It’s indeed the Beast, as Li Wei, despite unstable balance and chaotic footing unable to mobilize speed, remarkably managed to secure position through continuous directional shifts, like a perfect F1 blockade of the overtaking route, brute-forcing speed out of chaos.”
“Midfield line!”
“Li Wei has entered the Houston Texans’ half!”
“Like a sharp knife stabbing into O’Brien’s heart, as the Texans’ half lay void of players, everyone left trailing behind Li Wei.”
“God! God, this is Li Wei! This is the grace of the three-ti Super Bowl MVP winner!”
“Overwhelming force, leaving the opponent no chance at all!”
On the sideline, Watt was completely stunned.
Not just because everything happened so quickly and suddenly, not even five seconds into the start, the show had already comnced; but also because of the final twist, as Li Wei broke through, leading the powerful charge head-on.
The excitent, the amazent, the adrenaline was surging fully!
Watt turned his head, expecting the Kansas City Chiefs players would have been accustod to this, only to find Chris Jones, Brilland, and the others staring wide-eyed and open-mouthed, unable to conceal their astonishnt.
So, should Watt feel sowhat comforted and relieved?
However, he did not.
Watt looked back on the field, feeling the pulsating excitent, his blood boiling, an indescribable thrill surged straight to his head, his whole body trembling, it was as if a manic energy deep within was stirring restlessly.
