Chapter 1170: Chapter 1169: Bullfighter and Warrior
Focus, agility, alertness.
This is Joey Bosa, like a cheetah lurking in the night.
Even though Mahos continually disrupted the defensive group’s rhythm with quick passes, Bosa remained fully concentrated, tirelessly applying pressure.
Pressure, cannot be achieved overnight; they must maintain patience and persistently accumulate, like torrents, until the mont the dam is breached and the flood bursts forth.
Once, and again, repeatedly replicating the sa stepping movents.
Moreover, stay sharp, not foolishly rushing like a headless fly.
Then, Bosa saw it, Mahos handed the football to Li Wei.
Finally!
Bosa’s entire body tensed up——
Shifting from a pass to a run, relying on the pass to push the defensive group’s position backward, with the secondary defense’s attention firmly captured by the wide receiver and tight end, leaving gaps in the defensive front that allowed the ground offensive to gain ground.
This move is a signature play of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bosa’s attention was entirely on Mahos, but his subconscious never forgot Li Wei, always on guard, and now the mont had co.
Despite the Los Angeles Chargers being in a passive position, with the understanding of the divisional rivals, Bosa still grasped his opponent’s habits amidst the tumult.
Opportunity!
Not a flaw, nor an error, but indeed Bosa’s opportunity.
With a push of his left leg and a grounding of his right foot, without a breath or adjustnt, Bosa charged directly forward, arms spread wide in a great eagle posture, swooping down on Li Wei.
One word, fast!
Bosa’s reaction speed was pushed to the extre, catching Li Wei off guard.
When Mahos noticed Bosa’s movent, he imdiately prepared to step and dismantle, but was still a step too slow, watching helplessly as Bosa collided with Li Wei two steps away——
Got him!
Intercept!
Li Wei was preparing to step forward; he knew he had to seize the timing gap, making progress before the Los Angeles Lightning Defense Line could tighten the defensive net; but as he observed the defensive group’s movents, just as his steps started, Bosa had already lunged fiercely.
No chance at all.
The storm ca crashing down.
Bang!
Li Wei grunted, instinctively stepping back, attempting to sidestep right to maneuver out of position, but didn’t make it in ti, getting directly hit by Bosa.
Imdiately after, his center of gravity tilted back.
Stumbling and staggering, Li Wei fell backward.
However, Bosa hit too urgently; the body-to-body contact happened indeed; but the tackle with closed hands didn’t complete in ti, it was rely a hollow grasp without exerting force.
The next second, Bosa saw Li Wei continue to retreat, his disordered steps seemingly about to fall but incredibly did not, swaying and perilous, like an eagle’s wings dancing in the storm.
Bosa lunged forward, Li Wei stepped back.
The push and pull was like a tango.
Dangerous, thrilling, stunning.
Bosa, however, had no ti to appreciate it, as a blur filled his vision, an alarm ringing; he instinctively lunged forward again, recklessly using his body weight for a final strike, only to lunge at a phantom.
Oh no.
Bosa had only one thought in his mind; in his peripheral vision, that red phantom continued to billow turbulently.
At this ti, Li Wei was in a dire state, his disordered steps threatening to fall at any mont, relying solely on his core strength to barely stay upright; yet Li Wei didn’t stray.
Not only did he not drift, but his attention was highly focused.
His steps stumbled sideways to the right, with his unsteady center of gravity failing to keep up, he first shifted his upper body, dragging his feet out.
Dangerously avoiding Bosa, but still feeling the pressure and heat wave crushing down, without a hint of escape relief.
Stumbling, his knees softened, seemingly about to collapse onto the field.
His glance swept quickly, and Li Wei imdiately sensed the crisis; even if he barely eluded Bosa, the Los Angeles Lightning Defensive Group had already seen through their strategy, closing in and encircling fully; persisting further wouldn’t reverse the situation.
Unless——
Li Wei promptly yielded to gravitational pull, swiftly switching the football to his left hand, and deliberately fell, with his right hand reaching down in advance for support.
One move.
Not enough, then another.
Using both hands and feet, regaining his balance amidst the chaos, reclaiming control of his body.
Yet there was no room to breathe, as the linen had already caught up.
Kelsey was the first player to notice that Li Wei’s knees hadn’t touched the ground; despite the danger, despite the difficulty, Li Wei still refused to relent.
Without hesitation, Kelsey withdrew, rushing towards the approaching outside linebacker Perriman, executing a block that distracted Perriman from Li Wei’s presence.
The inside linebacker Davis, following closely behind, imdiately noticed this scene, decisively bypassing them and continuing the pursuit.
Li Wei, finally managing to support himself and stand, was t head-on by the sight of Cornerback Casey Hayward.
Hayward was matched with Kelsey; as Kelsey retreated, Hayward instantly knew what that ant; he did not continue chasing Kelsey but instead, stepped forward, targeting Li Wei, the grapple was on its way.
Push off, step forward.
Hayward lunged, Li Wei was within reach, just a fingertip away, yet Li Wei unfurled his red cape with a gentle flick, like a matador before a bull, sidestepping out of position.
Li Wei spun gracefully, his footsteps light, his figure elegant.
Hayward’s ambitious tackle surprisingly missed, brushing past Li Wei’s arm, spilling out, then watching as that silhouette completed a three-sixty-degree turn and continued forward, leaving only the number twenty-three on his back.
Hayward stared in shock at the sight, unaware of what transpired.
Li Wei, however, had no ti to consider Hayward, as Davis confronted him head-on.
Davis prepared himself, at first-step advantage, waiting for the dizzy Li Wei in the aftermath of his spin amid the tumult to tumble into the Heavenly Net.
Between Li Wei and Davis was just one step away, but Li Wei realized he lacked the strength to change direction again, everything was too late.
Decisive!
Li Wei didn’t evade, and rushed headlong, colliding fully into Davis’s arms.
Davis grunted, yet he held firm:
Grapple, completed.
This ti, he neither dodged nor loosened his grip, holding Li Wei tightly.
That tackle, solid and powerful, slamd into Davis’s chest, causing him to forego breath, holding tight, his entire body tensed to the extre.
Yet, it still wasn’t over.
Li Wei braced against the ground consistently, exerting force continued, with the strong reaction pushing Li Wei’s body forward; now, the positions of the matador and bull had reversed——
Li Wei was the bull.
Davis felt the piled-up, escalating strength surging towards him, a breath stuck in his chest, unable to exert force, wobbling, precarious, seemingly unable to hold on.
Davis’s expression changed, could Li Wei possibly break through this grapple?
No, absolutely not allowed!
Then, just at that mont, a force from behind Davis stabilized his center like a backup.
Reinforcents arrived!
