The European-style café had five people sitting in the spacious booth. "Hello Auntie, Grandma, my na is Yang Ni. You can just call Nini."
As Yang Ni spoke, she glanced at Shen Yiran, who was sitting across from her, silent and with a slightly cold expression.
Regarding the eldest son of the Shen family, he had always been the dream man in the eyes of many won outside. The elder son was noble and imposing, while the younger son was low-key and reserved. The common point was that both were leaders in their respective fields.
"This is our second son, Shen Yiran."
Upon the grandmother’s introduction, Shen Yiran rely nodded politely.
Though Yang Ni was delighted in her heart, she maintained a calm and composed appearance, exuding an image of elegance and dignity.
She was accompanied by her mother and second aunt, who also seed to be two graceful won. Yang’s mother said, "Second Young Master Shen is indeed as handso and outstanding as the rumors say."
"Oh no, your Nini is the one who is truly clever and quick-witted."
With mutual modesty, they exchanged quite a few pleasantries. Shen Yiran only made necessary acknowledgnts with an "Mm" and remained mostly silent, frequently looking at his watch, appearing very busy.
"I heard that Yiran used to have a long-term girlfriend..." Yang Ni suddenly asked. Her mother imdiately gave her a stern look, thinking such matters shouldn’t be discussed here.
But Yang Ni seed unfazed, her gaze fixed on Shen Yiran, waiting for his response.
After a long silence, Shen Yiran’s grandmother spoke, "He did have a girlfriend before. That girl was quite immature, and they broke up before even discussing marriage."
Yang Ni smiled with implied aning, "I just fear that after being with her for so many years, Yiran still hasn’t let go."
Because everyone could see that Shen Yiran was completely indifferent and even impatient about this blind date. If it weren’t for his grandmother and Su Nian’s presence, he would probably have left much earlier.
Everyone wasn’t foolish and subtlely sensed these reactions, so they didn’t say much more. His grandmother then suggested, "Why don’t we exchange contact information and let the young people get to know each other first."
Actually, Grandma knew this approach wouldn’t work because Shen Yiran would definitely not interact with this woman privately later. Seeing his lack of interest, there was no need to waste any more ti.
The second girl had the sa outco, and Grandma said, "Alas, I still don’t know when you’ll settle down. What worries the most is you."
Shen Yiran said nothing, crumpling the two won’s contact information and throwing it in the trash.
"It’s ti. Let’s go ho for dinner together."
Without looking back, he said, "No, I have a social engagent."
"Even busier than your elder brother!"
Grandma muttered, having no way to deal with him. She could only follow Su Nian ho, still unwilling to give up, saying, "I’ll pick soone new when we get ho."
Su Nian remained silent, having so understanding of her son’s mindset and knowing where the problem lay. But things had reached a point where there was no room for recovery.
Shen Yiran indeed returned to the company, but instead of attending a social engagent, he grabbed his car keys and left.
He drove to a restaurant she used to love, sat at their familiar spot, and ordered her favorite dishes.
Seeing the server only bring one set of cutlery, he hesitated briefly before saying, "Please add another set."
That way, he felt like she was still by his side, noisily praising the fish but claiming it wasn’t as good as his cooking.
