Returning to the room, she stood in front of the wardrobe and spent a long ti choosing clothes. The clothes that usually seed fine now made her unsatisfied. Thinking about how he was still waiting outside, she quickly grabbed a dress and put it on.

At this hour, her grandmother had already gone to bed. Only a few servants were still cleaning downstairs. Xiaoxiao sneaked out through the back door, directly heading to the place Gu Moming ntioned.

From afar, she saw a black sports car parked by the roadside. He had his hands in his pockets, looking in the direction she was running from.

Xiaoxiao could no longer hide her smile. She quickened her pace and, in no ti, was right in front of him, panting heavily. She looked at him but didn’t know what to say.

Gu Moming lowered his head to look at her, sighed lightly, and with a hint of a smile in his eyes, opened the car door, gesturing for her to get in.

Without asking anything, Xiaoxiao bent down and got into the car, a faint sll of cigarettes present.

While she was fastening her seatbelt, he ca around from the other side and got in as well, opening the car’s roof. The cool night breeze blew over them, gently lifting her tied-up hair.

Gu Moming said nothing and started the car, driving off quickly.

Xiaoxiao held onto the seatbelt, feeling a mix of excitent and exhilaration. She squinted her eyes against the wind, taking in the night view on both sides. She never asked where they were going because, with him around, she didn’t care where they went.

She had watched many of his races and all his past videos. She never doubted his driving skills, so even though they were speeding down the road, she wasn’t worried. It had been a long ti since she felt this relaxed.

Gu Moming glanced at her short dress, her bare arms out in the open, while he was still wearing a jacket.

The next second, with a screech, the car ca to a quick stop by the roadside. Xiaoxiao looked outside; it was dark and empty, "Are we there?"

As soon as she finished speaking, a warm jacket fell over her head. Before she could react, the car started again.

Xiaoxiao held the jacket tightly, looked at his side profile, smiled softly, and put on his jacket.

She instantly felt warr all over, and her shivering body slowly cald down.

"Are you cold?"

Not sure if her voice was too soft or the wind was too loud, he probably didn’t hear her and didn’t respond.

After a while, the car gradually stopped. Xiaoxiao looked at the scenery on both sides; they were by the river.

There were many people taking a stroll here at night. Even at this hour, it was lively. There were boats cruising on the river, and on both banks, many shops and food stalls colored the water with their lights.

Xiaoxiao got out of the car, jogging to catch up with his pace and clearly feeling he slowed down to wait for her.

She glanced at his white hand hanging by his side. Deliberately, Xiaoxiao reached her hand towards it, wanting to hold it but lacking the courage. In the end, she curled her fingers, tightly clenching her fist.

They walked side by side on the bridge without speaking. Even so, Xiaoxiao felt very content.

Being able to co out at night and take a walk with him, enjoying such beautiful night views together, was sothing she never dared to dream of before.

As they reached the end of the bridge, she suddenly felt a sense of loss, even wishing the bridge could be a bit longer so she could enjoy more of the scenery on both sides with him.

She didn’t know where he was going, so Xiaoxiao quietly followed him.

Both sides of the river were lined with ancient Jiangnan-style architecture. Following him to an outdoor stall, he found a seat and sat down, and she also sat across from him.
