Seeing Su Yan silent, seemingly in agreent, An’an’s emotions fluctuated wildly. She sat next to him on the bed, forgetting about him for a while, then said, "Then I should go back... You should rest early."
Su Yan watched her get up to leave, feeling a bit annoyed. Did she really not understand what he was trying to say?
"Wait."
The two simple words, as if with a magic power, stopped An’an in her tracks. She watched Su Yan take sothing out of his luggage bag and walk over to hand it to her: "This is the script for the new drama. Shooting starts on the third day of the new year, and we have to leave tomorrow."
An’an reached out to take it: "A script? What drama?"
"A new one I just signed on to."
When An’an opened it, the first page was the cast list. Seeing the male lead’s na was "Su Yan," her gloomy mood brightened a bit. It had been a long ti since they worked on a TV series together. She thought he had been distancing himself from her in life and would keep a professional distance as well.
After discussing the departure ti with him, An’an returned to her room.
Although he had driven her out, the thought of being able to stick with him every day in the coming ti filled her with anticipation, but also so worry. Would Xu Leya visit the set? They might be lovey-dovey and leave her out in the cold...
She fell asleep with these thoughts, only to be woken up early the next morning by Su Yan to pack. Their flight was at 2 PM.
They had spent quite a long ti at ho, had a reunion dinner, perford the traditional ancestral worship at noon, and left after dinner.
It was a familiar journey, around the sa length of ti, and when they arrived in France, the snow was heavier than back ho.
Yin Xiaojing was waiting for them outside the airport, driving slowly in the snow. As they drove, she briefed them on the new drama: "It’s been a while since you last cooperated. The official announcent about the new drama will be released online soon. Fans are definitely looking forward to your collaboration, so no need to be nervous. You both are seasoned actors."
An’an joked, "I’m not old at all!"
Then she opened the script and asked Yin Xiaojing, "Who’s the second male lead? I haven’t heard of this na before."
"He’s soone under your manager Lan. I heard he’s been training in South Korea for seven or eight years."
"So he’s quite young, just debuting?"
"I heard he’s not that young, actually older than you."
Su Yan didn’t like her showing interest in other n, so he frowned, but An’an didn’t notice at all and continued, "Then he’s not young anymore, isn’t it late to debut now? Won’t those seven or eight years of training be in vain?"
"Who knows? You’ll find out when you et him. I’ve read the script; you two have a lot of scenes together."
An’an pursed her lips and said, "I hope he’s not another arrogant guy, it’s no fun filming like that."
They chatted all the way to their residence. After she left, Su Yan still ca back to live there, so the place was still tidy. Only a bit of cleaning was needed.
The weather outside was bad, so she didn’t insist on going out to play. She lay on the sofa with her head on his lap, each reading their respective scripts.
"Little Uncle, why does the male lead clearly like the female lead, but doesn’t say it?"
Su Yan thought for a mont and answered, "He hopes the female lead is smart enough to figure it out."
"How can she figure it out if he doesn’t say it? How would the female lead know?"
Her casual remark made Su Yan fall into deep thought. Had he been too secretive all along?
If he said it, could she accept it?
His confession as her little uncle, wouldn’t that be absurd to her?
