Yi An stood awkwardly not far from his room door, her feet already cold on the floor. Her stiff toes clamped together, and her whole body couldn’t help but shiver.

She thought that when he ca back, they could be happy as before, have so hot midnight snacks, and the two of them could still curl up on the sofa and watch TV.

The gap between reality and her expectations left her feeling lost. She picked up the remote, ready to turn off the TV, but saw his face on the screen and couldn’t help but look twice. How long had it been since she last saw that gentle expression? The kindness he once showed her, had all been transferred to that woman, right?

She lowered her eyes to turn off the TV, walked to the side of the sofa to put on her slippers, turned off the living room light, and walked towards her own room.

When passing his room, she saw through the crack of the door that the light inside was still on. She faintly heard him talking on the phone, but couldn’t make out the words. She guessed he was probably checking on the sick Xu Leya, right?

If she caught a cold, would he still be as caring and anxious as he used to be? Or if she called him, would he just tell her to drink more water?

It wouldn’t be like with Xu Leya, where he couldn’t help but call in the middle of the night...

She turned back to her own room, deliberately slamming the door in a fit of pique. However, no one paid attention to her small tantrum. Alone in the cold bed, she kicked the plush bear he had given her onto the floor, curled up, and tossed and turned, unable to sleep. Even though she was very tired, her head hurt as if it was going to explode, but her mind was in chaos, and she couldn’t fall asleep.

Looking at the ti again, it was already three in the morning. There was a show tomorrow, and if she didn’t sleep, she definitely wouldn’t be in good shape. But all that filled her mind were scenes from the recent TV series that Su Yan and Xu Leya shot together.

Feeling frustrated, she threw back the covers and sat up, reaching for the bedside water cup only to find it was empty.

He used to give her water before bed, knowing she had a habit of drinking at night. But such things hadn’t been done in a long ti.

She turned on the bedside lamp, her foot hit the big bear on the floor as she got out of bed. With an upset face, she still picked up the bear, put on her slippers, and went to the living room to get so water.

Everywhere was pitch dark and so quiet that the only sound was the water flowing into the cup.

Standing at his door, she thought, at this ti, he should be asleep, right? He looked very tired when he ca back.

With the water cup in hand, she went back to her room, looking at that big bear with resentnt.

Driven by so impulse, she picked up the big bear and went straight to his room. After knocking with no response, and without expecting an answer, she turned the doorknob and walked in.

She thought he wasn’t awake, but as soon as the door opened, she saw him sitting on the bed, looking at her.

The room wasn’t lit, but by the light from the window, Su Yan saw the bear that was bigger than she was, with her small head behind it.

"What are you doing up so late?" he spoke first.

She stood at the door holding the bear, her tone sowhat pitiful: "I can’t sleep... I want to sleep with you."

She stared at him after speaking, as if seeking his approval. He neither nodded nor shook his head, simply looked at her indifferently, unlike before when hearing she wanted to sleep with him, he would automatically move to the side.

Seeing him sit still, Yi An spoke again: "I’ll just sleep next to you, I won’t disturb you."
