"Teacher, Director, if there’s nothing else, I’ll get back to work."

Zhao Heng, holding back a surge of emotion, said to Liu Xuedong and Gao Jun.

Although there were those slandering him, having a good teacher like Gao Jun supporting him gave Zhao Heng so comfort, though there was still so discomfort in his heart.

"Alright, you go ahead, Xiao Zhao. Send out the video soon. Don’t overthink this. The dical environnt now is like this; doctors like us have been demonized in dia and public opinion."

Liu Xuedong said with a sigh.

"Thank you, Director."

Zhao Heng nodded, feeling quite relieved by Liu Xuedong’s words.

"Don’t think too much. After sending the video, prepare well for your exam. I’m waiting for you to pass and formally join the anesthesiology departnt."

Gao Jun also encouraged and comforted Zhao Heng.

"Okay."

Zhao Heng nodded. Gao Jun had always supported him, which made Zhao Heng feel quite warm inside.

After Zhao Heng left, Gao Jun’s previously gentle deanor towards Zhao Heng turned somber and serious. He sat down and asked Liu Xuedong very seriously, "Old Liu, do you know who put in so much effort to spread rumors and sar Xiao Zhao?"

"Upon preliminary investigation, there’s only one person with whom Xiao Zhao had conflicts recently, but this person doesn’t have the capacity to execute such a sar. Further investigation is needed."

Liu Xuedong shook his head and said.

"What if it’s soone behind the scenes?"

Gao Jun said.

"What do you an?"

Upon hearing this, Liu Xuedong perked up. He hadn’t found any useful clues, and if this situation remained unclear, he wouldn’t be able to address it properly.

After all, last night, Professor Huang Guangyu from Boya dical College, considered a Mount Tai in the industry, personally called him to seriously investigate the matter of Zhao Heng being sared and frad.

"The person you ntioned who’s recently had a conflict with Xiao Zhao is Wang Qiang, the instrunt technician in the operating room, right? Why would Wang Qiang have an unwarranted conflict with Xiao Zhao?"

Gao Jun asked rhetorically.

"Are you saying Wang Qiang was instructed by soone? Old Gao, stop beating around the bush and say it directly."

Liu Xuedong couldn’t hold back his curiosity anymore and urged.

"It’s a bit complicated, really. You know Xu Man Ni, right? Lately, she’s been getting close to Xiao Zhao. And Yin Jian, who recently returned from abroad, has been pursuing Xu Man Ni. Does that make things clearer?"

Gao Jun sighed and said.

"So Yin Jian, out of jealousy, deliberately sared Xiao Zhao?"

Liu Xuedong was shocked; he hadn’t anticipated such a complex relationship.

It made sense; Zhao Heng has always been inconspicuous and hasn’t offended anyone, so it didn’t make sense for soone to target and sar him like this.

"I also didn’t expect that Yin Jian would be so petty."

Gao Jun said with so lant.

Being so petty and vindictive is indeed rare, especially since Zhao Heng and Yin Jian hadn’t even t or spoken. Just because of his closeness with Xu Man Ni, he suffered such slander.

Sotis reality is just so absurd; in so people’s hearts, they can’t tolerate even the slightest bit of light.

"Yin Jian is close to the dean. But, Old Gao, do you have any evidence?"

Liu Xuedong said with so difficulty.

"Yin Jian is the only one with motive in this case. As for evidence, I’m having people gather it."

Gao Jun said.

"That’s going to be tricky without direct evidence. The dean will make things difficult for us. Even if we have related evidence, the dean will likely downplay it, at most asking Yin Jian to apologize."

Liu Xuedong added.

He knew how much the dean valued his nephew, Yin Jian.

"Don’t worry about it, Old Liu. I’ll handle this."

Gao Jun said calmly, although from his serious expression, it was clear he was very angry.

He had finally found a good student like Zhao Heng, only for soone like Yin Jian, a connected figure with no qualms, to sar and even destroy soone over baseless jealousy.

If this kind of situation isn’t addressed, then they might as well all resign and hand over all the positions to connected figures like Yin Jian!

"Old Gao, don’t act on impulse."

Liu Xuedong beca even more worried upon seeing Gao Jun get angry.

Gao Jun’s father was the deputy director of a departnt, and if Gao Jun got him involved, leading to a clash with the dean, it would be a fatal blow to Eastern Hospital.

Gao Jun had his father, and even if he didn’t stay at Eastern Hospital, other hospitals would line up to welco him.

But if Liu Xuedong got involved in this, things might not go smoothly for him.

"Alright, Old Liu, let’s leave it at that."

Gao Jun waved his hand, having already made up his mind.

For years, keeping a low profile, so people at Eastern Hospital thought Gao Jun’s passion had died down.

Now, as the anesthesia and perioperative dicine center of Eastern Hospital is about to be established, he knew he had to show what he could do.

Leaving the dical departnt, Zhao Heng felt complicated. How to describe it?

He, a small instrunt technician, already had the backing of Gao Jun and the director of the dical departnt, which was very good.

If it were soone else, they might have already been abandoned.

But being targeted like this for no reason would fill anyone with anger—it felt like walking down the street and getting randomly bitten by a stray dog.

When he returned to the lounge, before Zhao Heng could speak, Wang Qiang imdiately mocked, "Are you here to pack your things and get ready to leave?"

"Do you believe it, if you say one more word, I’ll sew your mouth shut imdiately!"

Upon hearing this, Zhao Heng, who was already filled with anger, looked directly at Wang Qiang, speaking coldly.

"You’re already struggling to protect yourself, why are you still so arrogant? I might as well tell you, among our classmates, I have the most disdain for you!"

Wang Qiang retorted defiantly.

"Alright, both of you say less. Especially you, Xiao Wang. The issue with Xiao Zhao will be handled by the hospital; it’s not your place to comnt."

Just when the two were butting heads, the operating room director, Xu Wenqiang, stepped in and advised the two.

However, though outwardly it seed he was advising both, everyone could tell Xu Wenqiang was siding with Zhao Heng, subtly reprimanding Wang Qiang.

"Director, I..."

Faced with the imposing presence of Director Xu Wenqiang, Wang Qiang was too intimidated to speak up.

Just one word from Xu Wenqiang and he, the instrunt technician, would have to leave. So, Wang Qiang dared not offend Xu Wenqiang in the slightest.

"Aren’t you going to get to work? Need to invite you?"

Seeing Wang Qiang’s sudden submission, Xu Wenqiang was quite impatient, waving his hand dismissively.

"Yes, yes, Director, I’ll get to it right away."

Wang Qiang hurriedly nodded and bowed in response.
