Soon, Zhao Heng and Liu ng arrived at the ward where Ma Xiaochen was staying.

As soon as they walked into the ward, Zhao Heng saw Liu Qing sitting by the bedside, chatting and laughing with Ma Xiaochen and his mother. As for Ma Xiaochen, he was completely different from when he was admitted.

It could be said that he had been reborn, as if he had matured in a short ti, exuding a calm deanor he didn’t have before. In this regard, it could be considered a good thing.

Perhaps we might see one less idle, troublemaking super-rich second generation?

"Dr. Zhao."

Seeing Zhao Heng enter, Ma Xiaochen greeted him happily.

In Ma Xiaochen’s heart, Zhao Heng had beco the most cherished person next to his parents, after all, he was the doctor who saved him from life-and-death!

It’s not an exaggeration to call him a second set of parents.

But in modern society, those things aren’t emphasized anymore.

"How are you feeling today?"

Zhao Heng routinely asked.

"Feeling much better, very refreshed."

Ma Xiaochen said with high spirits. Anyone who had brushed with death and returned would likely feel the way he did now—it’s a feeling that’s hard to describe in words.

"Dr. Zhao, thank you so much for everything during this ti."

Liu Qing said, smiling warmly.

Born into a wealthy family, and now married to a wealthy husband, Liu Qing long ago lost interest in material wealth. At her age, what she values most is family.

"Dr. Zhao, when will I be completely well?"

Ma Xiaochen asked eagerly again.

He was truly fed up with staying at the hospital and didn’t want to stay a second longer.

"There’s still so rehabilitation ahead; don’t rush it."

Seeing how impatient Ma Xiaochen was, Zhao Heng reassured him.

"Xiaochen, listen to Dr. Zhao. Once you’re well, I’ll accompany you wherever you want to go,"

Liu Qing said to Ma Xiaochen.

This son of hers, although not exceptionally talented, had a decent character and values and didn’t grow astray like other rich second-generation kids.

"Alright."

Even though he didn’t want to stay in the hospital a mont longer, Ma Xiaochen also knew that he previously had a terminal illness. The fact that he’s getting better each day is already a heavenly blessing.

He couldn’t ask for more.

Upon leaving the ward, Tian Zhen approached Zhao Heng and said, "Director Gao wants you to go to his office."

"Is the teacher back?"

Zhao Heng nodded and asked.

"Looks like he just got back,"

Tian Zhen replied.

"Dr. Liu, please continue to follow up on these patients."

Zhao Heng instructed Liu ng.

"Understood."

Liu ng agreed.

Soon, Zhao Heng arrived at Gao Jun’s office.

Entering the office, Zhao Heng saw Gao Jun and hospital director Liu Shangming sitting on a sofa, drinking tea, and looking quite cheerful.

"Teacher, Director."

Zhao Heng greeted Gao Jun and Director Liu Shangming, then sat down.

"Xiao Zhao, have a taste, this is new tea from an old friend of mine."

Director Liu Shangming said enthusiastically to Zhao Heng, pouring him a cup as he spoke.

Zhao Heng sat down and took a sip. Yes, it was indeed good. These big shots really know how to enjoy life.

"It’s quite good, isn’t it? Take so with you to enjoy later."

Liu Shangming said with a kindly smile.

At his age and with his status, he wasn’t interested in the things that ordinary people pursued. The usual material pleasures he should have enjoyed were already enjoyed long ago, so only tea remained as a hobby.

Of course, for ordinary people, even the spending on tea by these big shots isn’t trivial.

"Xiao Zhao, you’ve been working hard during this ti."

Gao Jun said, looking at Zhao Heng with great appreciation.

Zhao Heng was essentially brought up by him, and now Zhao Heng could manage the entire anesthesia and perioperative center single-handedly. As a teacher, Gao Jun naturally felt great comfort and pride.

"Teacher, what have you been busy with while you’ve been out?"

Zhao Heng finally couldn’t hold back his curiosity.

Even though he could handle the center’s operations alone, given that Gao Jun, as director, hadn’t been at the center day after day, Zhao Heng was quite curious about what Gao Jun was busy with outside.

"I knew you would ask, I went looking for resources."

Gao Jun said with a jovial smile.

He kept leaving the center’s operations to Zhao Heng not because he was neglecting his duties.

In so sense, what he was doing outside was even more important than handling hospital business.

"Resources?"

Zhao Heng was a bit puzzled.

"Yes, did you think such a large center could develop just with the two of us?"

Gao Jun replied.

A large dical center cannot thrive solely because of one or two doctors of high caliber. It needs proper talent reserves and training, equipnt updates, and many other resource supports.

In modern dicine, developing a major dical center makes resources extrely important.

"This ti I secured four formal staffing spots for the center, and it will be announced in the next recruitnt notice."

Gao Jun said, pausing before delivering the news without any suspense.

"Four formal staffing spots? That’s great, Teacher!"
