After Li Xiao left, Liu ng in the office couldn't help but ask, "Dr. Zhao, who was that just now?"

Although Liu ng hadn't been in the ward for long, she'd never seen Zhao Heng being so polite to anyone. Even when the dean or vice-dean visited, Zhao Heng's attitude remained indifferent.

But just now, Zhao Heng's attitude towards this handso gentleman was sothing Liu ng had never seen before. She beca curious. Who was this person to make Zhao Heng act so differently?

"You're talking about Li Xiao?"

Zhao Heng asked.

"Yes, you ntioned he's a Go player?"

Liu ng nodded and said.

"He's Li Xiao, a 9-dan Go player, one of the world's top players."

Upon hearing Liu ng's comnt, Zhao Heng couldn't help but emphasize.

Simply describing Li Xiao as "a Go player" seed insufficient to Zhao Heng.

"Do you like playing Go, Dr. Zhao?"

Liu ng asked surprisedly. In her impression, people of Zhao Heng's age generally liked watching videos or playing gas. Those who liked playing Go were often in their thirties or forties.

Of course, this was the first ti Liu ng realized Zhao Heng had a personal hobby. Previously, she thought he was the kind of genius who treated work as life itself.

"Uh-huh, I learned a bit during university, but I've mostly forgotten it now."

Zhao Heng replied.

Go is ultimately a sport. If you don't play against others for a long ti, your proficiency will automatically decrease.

If you don't practice for a day, you lose your touch. That's how competitive gas are; reality isn't a ga where accumulated proficiency stays untouched.

"There's a Go strear becoming popular on Bilibili recently, it's quite nice."

After pausing for a mont, Zhao Heng recomnded.

"Dr. Zhao, you have ti to watch streams?"

Liu ng was surprised; she knew Zhao Heng was busy with many things in the ward and did lots of work in the anesthesiology departnt.

And at Yanjing University School of Life Sciences with Professor Li Hongwei, plus post-graduate studies, Liu ng was aware of this. There were also things she didn't know about, like the software Zhao Heng was collaborating on with Wang Yaoqing.

With so much going on, his days were indeed packed tightly.

"You have to balance work and life, you know, a little bit of self-regulation."

Zhao Heng replied.

"I can play Go, but can that Go stream really be entertaining?"

Liu ng questioned with so doubt. Go isn't like League of Legends, where even total novices can catch the gist.

Take professional Go matches, for instance. Not only are they difficult for complete novices, even seasoned fans sotis don't understand what's happening.

"It's not mainly about Go; it's about the person streaming."

Zhao Heng contemplated and said.

With streaming, the content isn't the most crucial part. So people simply have the talent for streaming — a tiny matter can be discussed with enthusiasm, captivating listeners.

Strictly speaking, this is a type of performance talent, similar to acting.

In psychology, this is considered a theatrical personality, commonly referred to as "perforr," lacking such traits makes full engagent in streaming difficult, let alone achieving major success.

"Hearing this from you, Dr. Zhao, I'm a bit intrigued. Who is the strear?"

Liu ng, listening to Zhao Heng's words, felt a bit interested. In her free ti, she watches streams, mainly sales broadcasts, since items bought during streams are occasionally cheaper.

"War Eagle, Li Xiao and Ke Jie, they form the Go abstract trio known as the Go 299 Studio."

Zhao Heng laughed and said.

This 299 Studio idea was introduced by Ke Jie during a livestream and was quite amusing.

Clearly, Ke Jie has done quite a bit to promote Go, his vision is unmatched by many.

"Hmm, I'll check it out when I have ti."

Liu ng nodded.

As they were about to discuss more, Tian Zhen entered from outside and said to Zhao Heng, "Dr. Zhao, the airport hospital transferred a patient, ergency needs you to attend."

"Mm."

Zhao Heng nodded.

"Dr. Liu, let's go take a look."

After a pause, Zhao Heng told Liu ng.

"Okay."

Liu ng stood up, filled with anticipation.

There were many aspects of Zhao Heng she wanted to learn from — diagnostic thods, disease judgnts, treatnt innovations. Learning even half of these she knew would benefit her greatly throughout her career.

Additionally, people didn't openly discuss it, but she knew many hoped to study under Zhao Heng to absorb his skills.

Though Zhao Heng was younger than Liu ng by a few years, technical skill wasn't defined by age.

If that were true, you could directly apply for promotion just by ntioning your age, which would make Liu ng's advancent from resident doctor to attending doctor much easier.

Soon, the two left the office and headed to the reception room.

Upon entering the reception room, Zhao Heng imdiately saw a pale young man with furrowed brows and a look of pain lying on the transportation bed. Next to him stood a young woman who appeared to be his girlfriend.

Beside them was ergency resident doctor Xia Tian.

"What's the patient's condition?"

Zhao Heng asked the ergency resident doctor Xia Tian.

"The ambulance just arrived, and I just got the patient off the ambulance. But the airport doctors who sent him said he had experienced headaches, fever, and vomiting since getting off the plane."

Xia Tian quickly replied.

"Alright, Dr. Xia, I'll handle it."

Zhao Heng nodded.

After Xia Tian left, Zhao Heng asked the young man lying on the bed, "Tell everything that's bothering you."

The young man tried to respond, wanting desperately to speak, but only managed a "sizzling" sound from his throat.

"Doctor, he hasn't been able to speak for several days."

The young woman standing beside him said anxiously.

"How long has he been unable to speak?"

Upon hearing this, Zhao Heng furrowed his brow and asked.

Loss of speech typically stems from two main causes: one is vocal fold edema affecting speech, the other is a lesion in the brain's language circuitry.

Both conditions, whichever it may be, are quite serious.

"It's been a week; he was like this when we were in Jeju Island."

The young woman continued, though her face was full of worry.

"Jeju Island? Are you returning from Korea? Besides not being able to speak, are there any other symptoms?"

Upon hearing this, Zhao Heng's brow furrowed further as he asked.

"Well, there's the fever, and he throws up every day; it started with headaches."

The young woman recalled and said.
